Counter order, table service, small space with a couple of tables outside. Because I expected to pick up my own food from the counter I offered no tip at ordering. But the cashier did deliver our food to our table and very kindly interacted with us making sure everything was great, so I felt compelled to tip after we finished our meal, thus the high service rating. Ordered a plain cheese pizza plus a Hawaiian pizza. I have lived in Raleigh for 12 years and sampled NY style pizzerias. I had serious doubts that Mario’s Pizzeria would even come close to being amongst the top 3 in the Raleigh area but I am happy to say that they most certainly do. Whenever I travel to NYC, the very 1st thing that I usually order is pizza. I just love NYC style pizza. The crust, the cheese, the sauce and the grease. My first time in wake forest NC and I really enjoyed going to Mario’s Pizzeria, they have a really good pizza, pasta and Lasagna. Super recommended it! I’ll have to go back on my next visit.
