I was in town for work craving sushi.. pretty skeptical as always but the reviews were great so I decided to give it a try. The place was absolutely packed and they somehow managed to get me sat. I was expecting to my food to take a long time given the fact there were so many people and only one sushi chef but my food came out in about 5 minutes, I couldn't believe it. I got a few maguro and sake and wow were they incredible.. so fresh and vibrant it was absolutely delicious....read full review

Most authentic tasting Japanese restaurant in Wilmington, NC. Growing up in Japan for 29 yrs, I really miss variety of great tasting Japanese foods. Genki offers many of my favorites. The chef spent some time to truly appreciate the Japanese cuisine.
