“This is the best Hibachi/Teriyaki place in town. The food is amazing, but the staff here is even better. The food tastes great, they serve it up fast with great proportions at great prices, but the staff will leave you coming back. They remembered my name after like, 2 visits. I was just getting some condiments to-go and the staff was going around behind me checking on everyone and making sure they all were happy. You really should check this place out if you haven't already.“
“I love coming here for a quick bite to eat. It’s always so refreshing and delicious. The people working are super nice and I always have a great time talking to them. The lunch special is awesome and if you aren’t a super big eater, the kids portion is awesome too. Their boba is really good too, I love the unique flavors like Durian. This is by far my fave neighborhood spot!Vegetarian options: You can get tofu instead of fish and other options for bases and most of the toppings are vegetarian friendly.“
“I popped in here with a friend, and the food was delicious ?. They have good vegetarian and vegan options. My only complaint is that they don't have the option of brown rice, which will keep it from being one of my go-to restaurants. What they did have was very yummy!“
“The food was of the utmost quality. The sushi chef was quick and efficient with our order. This restaurant is small with just enough tables to warrant two servers when full. At our lunch service, there were maybe five patrons present, and our service was still excellent. The space is used well, and the esthetics bring just enough of Asia to warrant a feeling of elsewhere to your meal. For just a moment, you have been transported.“
“Absolutely love this place! Drunken noodles with beef is my go to with their tai fried rice and crispy spring rolls. They used to have chicken wings (which I thought were the BEST in town), but sadly took them off the menu. Overall, my wife and I love this place! (And secretly hope they bring back the crispy chicken wings!).“
“This was the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in. The food - hibachi steak - was amazing. I rate them 11 out of 10. Their sanitation inspection grade of 99.5 led me there and I am so glad I went. I plan to visit again the next time I am in Wilmington.“
“Made a stop at Yosake tonight with my girl, my brother and his fiancé, and two other great friends. And wow what a knock out!First off, the cocktails and mojitos were amazing! The speed of service was much better than expected consider how much we ordered and how busy they were for a Friday night! Our server was so nice as was everyone else working there! The real star there is their apps! As a table we shared the Brussel sprouts app, firecracker shrimp, Thai curry baby back ribs, dumplings, chicken and jalapeño eggrolls, and pork belly boa rolls. Oh my god they were all so good.I don’t eat seafood, so I had beef lo main. It was amazing! I got it spicy, I’m a heat freak. The rest of the 5 of my party split 10 different sushi rolls and all raved about it!This is the best Asian place around and we all left feeling like what we paid was well worth it! Check it out and def try the ribs and boa rolls!!“
“Okay this is by far the best sushi in Wilmington and I am a sushi snob! I ordered delivery and everything arrived just how I asked for it so thank you so much for accommodating to my requests :)First thing, you absolutely HAVE to try the surf n turf roll. So delicious! The mermaid roll is a close second to that one, such great flavors. I truly believe this is some of the best sushi I have had anywhere. The spicy garlic edamame- YUMand oh man the tuna salmon crispy rice is amazing!!I enjoyed everything so much(that I only got a pic of the sushi hehe.)Thanks Nori ^.^“
“Absolutely love this place. It’s my favorite restaurant. Tried hibachi and sushi for the first time here on Christmas Eve. While I didn’t particularly like the sushi (not the restaurant’s fault just not a fan of the texture), the hibachi was AMAZING. Best food I’ve ever had. The chefs here are so talented and always entertaining, they really make each time an experience. They have the best prices for the amount of food you get and its quality ingredients too. As I said, absolutely love this place, it’s my favorite restaurant and I would eat here every single day if I could. Thank you Okami for the wonderful experiences, food, and customer service!!“
“We have dined inside here before and were very happy with the portion size and taste of our sushi. But, today we ordered take out for our son’s birthday and were very disappointed with the size of the sushi and how bland it tasted. We spent $50 for lunch for 3 people and received enough food for 1 1/2 people. I had to cook more food because we were all still hungry. Maybe it was due to take out instead of dining in, I am not sure.“
“Delicious vegan options and great sushi! Really great prices! I had the falafel hummus wrap with beer battered fries (so good!) and my husband had the maki combo with the ginger salad. Mmmm!!!Vegetarian options: Falafel hummus wrap! And others clearly marked.“
“Thank you! This place hit all the marks! Good ambiance, food was delicious - and great portion sizes - and a happy, knowledgeable server! (They do still exist!)Sorry about the half consumed salmon. I almost forgot to take a picture!Salmon was cooked perfectly, and I do not use that word lightly!I'm not sure what the sushi roll was called, but obviously, it had tempora shrimp!“
“Can one ever go wrong with some yummy Japanese food? Especially when it’s a whole show of your food being cooked in front of you? This place didn’t disappoint. Staff was great and food was delish. Star of the show was definitely the cook, love how they put on a performance to entertain guest.“
“Visiting the area and wanted to try this place, it looked like a great value. I ordered and paid online, but one of the dishes got confused. Excellent customer service from them! LouLou immediately offered to fix the correct entree. Even offered me a drink while I waited! Logan even came through while I waited to check on me! Friendly people who obviously live up to excellent customer service standards! Very impressed ? Thanks again for making that situation pleasant ☺️“
“Genki is easily the best sushi in Wilmington.Sushi is my favorite food, and over the years living in Wilmington I have always had my birthday dinner at sushi restaurants in town. Genki became the new birthday spot after one dinner there, and it has been for years since. Its strip mall storefront makes the place seem modest, but looks can be deceiving - the food and service is exquisite, from the carefully crafted sushi to the warm hand towels given to customers. As far as sushi goes, the yellowtail nigiri is the best we have tried. Trailing close behind comes the smelt roe nigiri (add a quail egg on top for maximum enjoyment) and eel rolls (cucumber or avocado).Another must is the miso soup! The hijiki seaweed salad is amazing too.Only positive things to say…“
