Slappys is awesome! My favorite fried chicken in the Triad! Best of all, it's 10 min. from my house, and the kids and I get our hair cut literally next door! We always leave with Fresh Chicken and Fresh Cuts! I love the Washington Park Neighborhood! Great destination! Worth Going! Dont sleep on the desert either! SLAPPY'S ice box pie is ? too!
First time trying Slappys, I got the 1/4 upper chicken dipped in Slappys sauce, with potato salad, and the mac n cheese with cheezits and a cheerwine. In my personal opinion, the chicken was the best chicken I’ve ever had that wasn’t home cooked. It was juicy, the skin was crispy and the sauce was just off the chain with some heat and just enough sweetness, you can tell that sauce was made with some passion. This place is great! A huge piece of chicken, very tasty sauce and excellent sides. Collards and slaw were especially good. A very simple menu and friendly and efficient customer service.
