“Been a while since I've been here, but the food is still absolutely fantastic. Got some tacos de lengua, which were a first time for me and they were to die for. Literally the best tacos de lengua I've had in years! It was so good too, that I totally forgot to actually even take a picture of it because I ate it so fast.I did however also order some Tacos Tejuana's and some Elote and I did get some photos of those. The service was fast, and the guy at the cash register was super kind. Place is a 10 out of 10 and probably one of, if not my favorite spots to eat in the entire city of Kearney.“
“I am a bit spoiled being from Denver... But this was just OK Mexican food. Considering the location I gave it 4 stars where I would usually give it 3.Nothing was bad, just bland. Chili Relleno was smothered in a red sauce instead of green chili, which was odd... the salsa was good, but not even remotely spicy.“
“This was our first time at Los Magueyes. Overall, we were very happy with our experience!Food: We ordered a Fajita Taco Salad (pictured), Chimichunga (a la carte) and a quesadilla kids meal. We ordered waters and only paid $25. The taco salad was MASSIVE and could easily have fed two people in my opinion. The chimi was good and came with a delicious sauce. The kids meal came with French fries and a drink. The free chips and salsa were good. The chips were a bit lighter and less salty than most Mexican restaurants we’ve tried. The salsa was traditional house salsa with a medium heat.Customer Service: All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food came out super fast and they were attentive to our needs.Atmosphere: The main dining room has recently been remodeled and is clean and comfortable. There is music playing, but it is at a comfortable level. The only criticism is the bathrooms, which are in rough shape and need a deep clean or remodel.Definitively give this place a try! We will be back next time we are coming through.“
“This is a great, authentic, Mexican Restaurant and Grocery in Kearney. I'm not sure what one of the other reviewers were talking about with a lack of spice because we had Chili Verde and Enchiladas Mexicanas which were both spiced wonderfully! The Enchiladas were almost a little too spicy for me, and I tend to love my spice! Great service and friendly folks. We'll be back!“
“Fast service, wonderful food, and amazing customer service! Can easily compete with similar stores, and win. They always smile here, and make you feel welcomed ?Vegetarian options: If you don't want meat, you can get only veggies.Dietary restrictions: Tell them your allergies and they will recommend based on that.Parking: Reasonably sizedKid-friendliness: They have kids meals, and the customer service is very child friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs.“
“Tried this for the first time a few days ago.. now I’m back for the second time this week. This time I brought my Mum because it was too good not to share. Absolutely delicious. Everything is cooked properly, seasoned well and the staff is super kind. Highly recommend! I’m definitely a regular now:)“
“This place had absolutely yummy food! The cheese dip and fajitas were DEVOURED by our crew, and the serving of nachos was huge. I *loved* that there were so many veggies with the fajitas. Delicious! What a nice surprise to find fantastic Mexican food away from home in Texas.“
“Very good experience! Seated quickly serving us chips and salsa. Quickly took our order and served our drinks. We ordered Enchilada combo and asked if we could modify to one of each; beef, chicken and cheese. Our waitress Kim was very pleasant and accommodating. The food was served within a few minutes, excellent with very good flavor. We made it to the hockey game with time to spare. They will see us again! Our first experience had some misunderstands, management handle this extremely professionally to help clarify the situation. They were not aware of a second chance until we were leaving. Much better experience. We all have our days, young help is getting hard to find management supporting them through learning years is great. We as customers should be supportive as well, otherwise they may not want to stay in the hospitality profession.“
“I love this place! I live in Colorado but am in Nebraska usally about once a month. Every time I'm in Nebraska, I eat there at least once, if not 2 or 3 times, in a weekend. The only thing that could be better is the hours. Since Covid, their hours just aren't as good as they used to be.“
“Wasn’t expecting Mexican food this good in the middle of Nebraska. Thank you. Our dishes were far better than what we ate while in Cancun and Tulum, Mexico the previous week. Birria quesadilla for appetizer plenty for 2 people. It’s enough for a full meal. Chicken salad very good, although the chicken strips should have been a little bigger. Decent house margaritas too“
