“We are so glad we stopped at this restaurant during our cross country drive. Miguel greeted us with warmth and was very personable. We enjoyed listening to him tell us the family story of coming and starting a restaurant and finally settling down in Nebraska with this wonderful place to serve such great Mexican dishes. The food was fresh cooked and very flavorful. The service was excellent and feels as if we made a friend that fed us well and was good company while we dined. This place you will eat well and feel the warmth in the family atmosphere. Stop in if you have the chance!”

“We have driven half way across the country at this point and have eaten out nearly every meal. We thought we'd had amazing food until we came to A&D Cafe in the tiny town of Lexington, Nebraska! They knocked it out of the park!!The Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast is everything it's supposed to be! I don't care for the hand breaded cube steaks so of course I loved my meal! Hot, seasoned well, eggs cooked perfectly and hands down the best hash browns I've ever had!! Hubby's breakfast was cooked perfectly as well, eggs over easy just like he likes them! So much meat on his plate, he ate every bight!!Service was phenomenal!! We ended up having to wait a bit longer than usual as there was a HUGE to go order right in front of us! We weren't just told this, we observed the gentleman come back twice to get the order, both times arms and hands were loaded with food!! When our breakfast came, we also received a plate of hot, fresh fries! I said I didn't order those and she said those were a treat for us since we ended up waiting so long! How sweet!! The gal was super friendly, smiled and laughed with each customer then when it was all clear, she visited with us for awhile and we got to share lots of stories! “Looking for lunch off the 80 on our long haul trip from California to New York and found this place open on Labor Day Monday - not a lot to look at but the food is fabulous. We walked to the back of the store to an area where food is served. The language barrier was not a problem as we pointed to what we wanted - African rice , beef & onion dish and fried (with spices) chicken legs. Also some fresh bananas unpeeled. The food was perfect, and the owners were helpful and friendly. We will hit it on the way back ?”

“Such a great meal from this place! My mom and I stopped in for a takeout dinner on our way to Utah from New York. Such a tasty, authentic meal of a Carne Asada Burrito for me and a Grilled Chicken Quesadilla for mom. Delicious salsa on the side too! Definitely recommend if you're ever in town and hungry for something just a little bit spicy and a whole lot savory!”

“Located right behind the walmart store on the Lexington exit. Has become a regular stop driving that part of I-80. Always friendly and efficient service and Very Good dishes and variety. At the lunch hour food has always been fresh, hot and plentiful. Always look forward to lunch here and plan travel accordingly.”

I don't know why this day left me with a bad taste, the way my chubby girls prepared it, which I like so much, I hope in the future they will improve the service... thank you Generally they always make them delicious...Just an observation...”
