“We had previously tried the other restaurant specializing in Southern fare resulting in a very disappointing experience. When we found A Taste of Louisiana we were eager to check it out. We had a perfectly wonderful experience there in all aspects. We we were greeted and seated immediately by the warm and friendly owner, who took lots of time explaining the menu offerings, which were numerous. When the food came, we thought we had entered the celestial sphere. This is not an exaggeration! One if us is a vegetarian and was able to have a fine meal. Between the two meals, none of the items was less than stellar. The helpings were very generous. While this restaurant is not fancy, it blows away the competition regarding the quality of the food, terrific service and exceptionally warm, friendly staff. I highly recommend A Taste of Louisiana to anyone who appreciates excellent Southern cooking in a casual and friendly atmosphere. An enthusiastic A+ all the way!“
“First time here. Don't know how I've missed it. This restaurant is a very nice change of pace to the usual Mexican Central American fare. I had the 3 taco pollos (chicken). They were very good and reasonably priced. The radish slices and fried pepper were a nice side addition. Loved the fried tortilla chips and salsa. Chips were not the typical generic variety. ?? I will be back often to sample more of the menu. ✌️??✝️“
“The food is so good. But I have shrimp allergies, and there was 2 times I had shrimp in my food or beef cooked in the same pan as previous seafood. This time I had a reaction. PLEASE, PLEASE, make sure you are checking before you eat the food. And yes, I let them know, about this; online or in person, I want to still go there but...“
“My wife and I have been going to Surf&Turf for a few years whenever we are in Lincoln. The fish is unbelievably fresh and delicious. When you walk in you do not get a fishy smell, a good indicator of freshness. Expect to spend premium prices because you will be receiving a premium product. The owner is very knowledgeable for all his products, be it flavored oils, seafood or their aged steaks.“
“This review is long overdue. This is honestly the only place I get take out in Lincoln nowadays. I’ve tried so many Chinese restaurants in this city and none compare to here. Best food overall no doubt. Fried rice, amazing. Beef and chicken are great. And also they have the best crab Rangoons you’ll ever find. God bless zhangs, and please bring one to Omaha, and if you haven’t had this place you need to immediately“
“This is a local family owned and operated authentic SUPER delicious restaurant (hence the 5 stars). There is always parking available. The employees are ALWAYS attentive and helpful for "new to Indian cuisine" diners. Those of us who have dined here for many years can trust consistently good like homemade food and speedy service. Takeout rocks! In addition to your meal, the veggie samosas and house Naan are great! ...and the Dahl is fantastic!!! Perhaps even my favorite. ?Vegetarian options: As with most Indian restaurants, there is no shortage of vegetarian options.“
“Food and service were fantastic. I had scallops and shrimp with vegetables, cooked perfect with many scallops and shrimp. Also had steamed buns and spring rolls for appetizers, both excellent. All food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasted great, had great color presentation, and the meal was a large helping needing a to go box. I don't remember what my daughter had for her main meal, but she also said hers was excellent. We've never been disappointed here for good food and service. Will return.“
“Such a great restaurant!! They give you mild and spicy salsa along with bean dip for the chips. Husband had soup with extremely tender pork in it. I had the appetizer platter with lots of leftovers. The waiter is very friendly and noticed when we needed refills.“
