“Amazing experience at the downtown location! Waitress and manager made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant (and we had a large bachelorette group) on a busy Saturday. Will always recommend to everyone and anyone!! The best time!“
“This is the best sushi place in town. There's no other way to put it. I usually don't factor my interactions with staff into how much I enjoy a restaurant, but every single person here was very genuinely friendly. As we got carded for our drinks, we only barely mentioned that we had just moved here to Omaha. Our server and the manager came out with two flights of sake for us on the house to celebrate! And of course the sushi was the best we ever had. If you like raw fish, get the tuna tataki sashimi for absolute sure!Thank you for such a memorable evening!“
“One of the better sushi places in Omaha, although it still can’t compare to Yoshitomo. They are particularly good at their sauces that come with the sushi rolls. However, the yellowtail sashimi I had today was extremely thin with 5 pieces for a whopping $16. California would never. They don’t give you as many pieces per sushi roll compared to on the coast either, and especially for the price, this is a let down. I honestly would not come back unless I want to be hungry after I finish the meal, or I want to be out over $100. I would rather wait for a flight to an ocean city. (But if you are vegetarian, their options are fantastic! Some of the best vegetarian rolls I’ve ever had)Vegetarian options: I am not vegetarian, but their options are delicious.“
“Longstanding Omaha staple. Milton’s chicken is one of my favorite dishes anywhere. Generous portions of higher grade chicken served with asparagus, onions, and red peppers in a flavorful sauce. I do not include the mushrooms which come with the dish. Served with steamed rice and miso soup. Consistently a top notch meal at a reasonable price.“
“I tried this Japanese food here for the first time, and the food was so good. I tried the lunch combo, which included tempura, sushi, rice, soup, and salad, and it was filling for one person. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere there was also good. I still miss the Japanese ambiance, but I absolutely love it and will definitely visit again someday. The location is on central Omaha, at the intersection of Dodge and 72nd, making it easily accessible. The price is also reasonable.“
“It was our 2nd time to a Japanese Hibachi grill and 1st time to this restaurant. We absolutely loved it. Our server, Shelby, was very kind and helpful. The chef Phillip or "Uncle Phil" was very talented, fun, and excellent with the food. It was all delicious, from the soup to the final entree. I highly recommend the Filet and Portobello mushroom combo. We went for our anniversary and want to come back soon.“
“walked in and was welcomed inside, the time I went it was slow and chill. Environment was clean nothing too impressive but I'm sure they will upgrade the store whenever they can, I enjoyed the teriyaki chicken, and the rice too. Good place for quick bite.“
“5 years later, still the best chicken teriyaki in Omaha ❤️ I always finish my plate here because it's always so darn good! If you live in the area and don't wanna drive to the Oakview mall to get their teriyaki chicken, then this is an even better option for you. Spicy chicken is sooo good :“
“I've never had an objectively bad experience at Tokyo Sushi, but, I've also never had anything that stands out as being special or otherwise good enough to write home about. The updated call button system certainly relieves previous complaints I've had, but, it's still hit or miss and the clientele is sometimes less than pleasant to endure. The sushi is almost always delicious (tho I suggest avoiding anything with tuna) and the sake is objectively delicious.“
“I had some classic sushi I never had before. Shitake and Negi Hamachi blew were better than I ever imagined. Sake was really good for the price too. I also nearly fell in love with the server after she agreed that classic more simple sushi are far better than the crazy contraptions people in the West come up with....“
“We had the loveliest experience at Yoshitomo. The menu is expansive and nothing we tried disappointed. We tried something from every section of the menu and it left us adequately full and delighted! I don’t remember our waiter’s name, but he was the best and gave excellent recommendations :)“
