“Very cool and hip breakfast and brunch spot that really experiments with traditional favorites. The chicken and waffles provide a level of comfort that only real comfort food can provide. The brisket sandwich is flavourful, but you can end up with too much gristle. The coffee options are excellent and tasty. A hint of cinnamon or nutmeg, depending on the drink, really makes the beverage something special. Service is generally good, but some servers are more genial than others. Outdoor seating is a great option when temps climb above 60 degrees.“
“I have passed this place many times and can't believe I've been sleeping on it! Romantic, cozy, and the food is great. Our server, Eric, was great! Celebrating my sisters birthday dinner was a success. We had the oyster special and arancini balls, dinner for me was the salmon fettuccine. The chocolate cheesecake for dessert was the perfect way to end our meal. Thanks for a great experience - we will definitely be back!“
“WOW!!!!!!! What a culinary delight for the mind body and soul!! From start to finish was impeccable. Warm greeting with beautiful surrounding made this meal 5 stars. With the open air kitchen, you become 1 with the chef's working to prepare very different and scrumptious meal you won't forget! “
“Agree with other reviews that it’s pricy but I think you get what you pay for. I’ve gotten worse meals for the same price. Order at the counter, pick your seat, and they bring your order to you. It’s cramped inside, though, wouldn’t recommend going as a party of more than 3 or 4“
“My wife and I are absolutely obsessed with Porta. We had our wedding here back in November and I'm just now realizing that I never wrote a review! Wedding Setup: The event coordinators did a fantastic job setting up for our guests. Everything was BEAUTIFUL and the flowers matched our color scheme perfectly. We loved the disco ball ceiling and our photographer got some amazing shots of us on the dance floor. One his photos of us under the disco balls just won an award!!! On top of booking Porta as our venue, we utilized their services for: - table florals - arch -archway florals -linens & candles I would 1000000% recommend using Porta to supply all of that decor. It made our lives so much easier not having to worry about supplying all of these items on top of what we already needed to bring. They were also beautiful! Food: Our guests could not stop raving about the food at our wedding. We wanted something non-traditional where people would really enjoy the food. The appetizers were phenomenal and of course so were all the mains. All of the dinner was served family style which our guests loved as well. We added the seafood station onto our package and that was the highlight of the night. Our family couldn't stop talking about how much they loved having crab legs and oysters. Service: Amazing service. The wedding coordinators were constantly checking up on my wife and I the entire night to make sure we had everything that we needed. Huge shoutout to Elizabeth and Peyton for keeping everything running smoothly. We also forgot the champagne for our photos and Elizabeth made sure to get it to our photographer. She also offered to bring a rental back to a local business from our dessert table because she knew they were closed for the next 3 days and we didn't live near by. She's a rockstar. Our sweetheart table was stocked with food and drinks all night. Value: Weddings are expensive. We felt that we got an amazing value for the price we paid at Porta. From food, to decor, to the drinks package, I would do this all again and not change a thing. All of the leftover food was packaged up at the end of the night and put on a table by the exit so guests were grabbing pizzas, pastas, and desserts on their way out. This was a huge plus for us as we felt we truly got our moneys worth and nothing went to waste. Thank you to Chandler, Elizabeth, Payton and the Porta team for providing us with the most memorable, beautiful and fun day. Highly recommend having any big event here, and definitely take advantage of the additional services that they offer!“
“Went last night for dinner. The design of the place is very nice and they had live jazz music in the corner.Service was great and very attentive. I ordered the asparagus soup and the lamb pappardelle. Delicious, filling meal. I sat in the lucky seat so I got a free drink! Fresh OJ. Overall great experience. Hope to be back for more food and music!“
“my husband and I were leaving asbury and needed a quick breakfast. Stumbled across this place and man I'm so glad we did. These guys know how to make a classic egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. So tasty and they toast the bread which is a huge plus in my book!!! Our next vacation back to asbury well definitely be back.“
“We just had our wedding at Watermark on Saturday and I could not wait to leave a review. Everything exceeded our expectations!!! The owner Russell was so easy to communicate with and was hands-on for the entire wedding. We truly felt that by the end of the event, Russell and his staff were part of our family. The wait staff and bartenders were amazing. But the food blew our minds. I never expected it to be as good as it was. The weddings at Watermark are very non-traditional. There is no sit-down dinner, yet they provide more than enough food. The third course is called "mini meals" which they pass around in bowls. These were unbelievably delicious. And the venue itself was just so classy yet casual. The couches and comfy chairs, huge windows with an amazing view of the ocean, big dance floor, and an awesome second-floor deck. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a non-traditional wedding to check out Watermark.“
“I've been coming to this spot for years. The food is consistently good and the waitstaff has always been friendly. Coffee is great too and I am a bit of a coffee snob. I love their vanilla latte. Cozy on the inside and nice location on Cookman. Red Bank location is wonderful also- different vibe inside but food just as good.“
“The people working here were having a good time joking around and providing great customer service. We got the vegan drumsticks as we were intrigued and partner is vegetarian. They were honestly pretty good.Vegetarian options: They have a handful of vegetarian options which is always appreciated.“
“The jerk dry rub wings were phenomenal. The carrots and celery were very fresh. Two of us had fish and chips, which was not only delicious but a great portion for a great price. One of us had a chicken burrito (w/ tortilla chip & pico de gallo) special that was also delicious and a great portion. We all shared a peanut butter explosion, which was also phenomenal.“
“Small quaint diner on the corner with 6 booths, 6 tables, and 6 barstools. Service was fast, and portions were large. 3 chicken tenders on a large Belgian waffle and lox hollandaise with 2 hashbrowns couldn't be finished by my wife and I. Food was fresh and great, coffee bottomless and menu robust. $36 including tip.Vegetarian options: Omelets, sandwiches and moreParking: May have to check side streetsKid-friendliness: Kids were there when we went“
“My sibling and I decided to drop her for dinner tonight. We were able to sit outside because of the nice weather. I had my dog with me so outdoor seating was perfect. Our waitress was very attentive and our food came out quickly. I had a Maine lobster roll, which was very good with a salad. My sibling ended up ordering the Guinness stew and really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd come back.“
“Our friends were celebrating a birthday so we did a group rate brunch. The overall cost came out to be $60+ a person which I thought to be a tad expensive but it’s okay. The food was really good. We were first served some fresh fruit and danishes. Couldn’t tell you what kind of danishes they were, but they were surprisingly delicious. Next was the main course which was the chicken & waffles. The chicken was spectacular, the waffles were perfect, and the gravy was tasty. My only gripe was at random moments I would taste something super super sweet. Not exactly sure what it was, but it was sometimes overpowering. The short rib hash was tasty but a bit dry. Felt like it was just too much potatoes and not enough egg or meat to have a good blend. Overall it was a great time, the staff was super friendly and on top of their game.“
“Great food and big portions for a very fair price. I had the jerk chicken platter with rice & beans and plantains and it was filled with flavor and very filling. The worker at the front was very kind and gave a good recommendation. Will be going back.“
“Brianna was our waitress. She was super awesome. She allowed me to customize a salad, which I really appreciate. The decor was super cool, both of the ladies were super attentive and caring! The food was great! You can tell they care! However, the chicken used in my salad wasn't breast meat, which is considered the norm when grilled chicken is added to a salad. However, I should've asked. Also, my partner ordered the asbury platter without any meat and there was no price deduction, which is all good, just surprised. There was parking right in front which is great. The food was very thoughtfully plated & all the ingredients were fresh and seasonal which is nice. The rest room was extremely clean as well.Overall, the food was great. Service was very attentive. The staff gave great food recommendations without being pushy!! The atmosphere was super cool and retro. The food was served quickly. The food was hot.Great local asbury place.“
“We are a local architecture firm and held our office holiday party here recently. Having been to the Supper Club for different music events throughout the years, I wasn't sold on how their event planners, Vicki & Libby, would be able to create a warm and inviting place for our 48 staff members in a room that can accommodate 160 guests. But I have to say, they knocked it out of the park! The placement of the buffet tables to close in the space a bit was perfect and they were happy to accommodate my requests when it came to fostering an environment where everyone could choose to casually hang out at hi-top tables, at the bar, in the seated window spaces or at regular tables with their colleagues. They rolled in a Christmas tree for the stage, designated an area for our selfie station, permitted us to add our company logo to their 2 LCD panels on stage, provided a microphone for our speeches, played my specific Spotify playlist for us in their audio booth, etc. We did not pay extra for these items/services. Our add-on appetizer table by the bar was perfect for guests who arrived hungry and needed a little something before the buffet came out. The food we chose from their generous menu was all wonderful. We added a carving station with roast beef, which got rave reviews. The staff was perfectly accommodating that day, even to our gluten free employee (which I had forgotten about!). We chose the open bar tab package which worked out great because half of our staff doesn't drink alcohol. We have a culturally diverse team scattered amongst all ages here and as the HR Manager, it was important to me that EVERYONE had a good time and felt they were appreciated. I received fantastic feedback across the board. Especially from our Owner/Principal. He couldn't have been more pleased. Big thank you to Vicki & Libby for making me look good:)“
“Place is always packed. Great food and Konami bigwave on tap. I definitely recommend the bacon Appetizer and the Mac n cheese bites, but everything is good. Parking is the only the only issue, and that's pretty much Asbury I. That area so take the great with the bad “
“One of my most favorite happy hours in town and even when you do have to pay full price it is always worth it. The Gin & Jam is the best cocktail ever and I always get the meatball bowl & vegan kale caesar salad. Could not recommend this place enough!“
