Yong Kang Street Dumpling

Visited for lunch, decent food, but I hated the little surprise at the end. When we received our check we were correctly charged for all items, but saw that the prices had INCREASED due to an additional 4% "discount". When I challenged the waitress she explained that the "discount" would be applied if we paid cash. In other words, it was an un-advertised credit card surcharge, that they were trying to hide as a cash discount.

Okay so let's set the scene: it's Sunday night, I'm tired and so not in the mood to cook. So hubby and I head to Yong Kang Street. ..and boy am I glad we did. This restaurant has superb service! I mean top-notch, grade-A, leave a double tip good. Covid has obviously made it impossible to dine in at most places but even still my experience was wonderful. While husband in line for burgers next door, I saw the oriental decor and instantly craved for some noodle soup. A quick search on Yelp yielded rave reviews for their Hong Kong wonton. Hopes were high.It was easy to walk in and order, and when I saw they served sushi as well, I tacked on a salmon roll to go. Not a long wait, and they separated soup from noodle to prevent it from sogging up. Good sign.Didn't have any issues with my appetizer, but wasn't expecting much from sushi...read full review
