Don’t expect this to be a restaurant, this review is from a perspective of an Indian sweet shop. Portion sizes are small for the size.Authentic Punjabi rural cuisine! True taste of Punjab which is very lightly altered to suit non-Indians.Sweets: I don’t think there can be a better besan burfi that you can buy. 100% authentic!Also bought til bhugga which is special for Lohri. We were driving from NYC to DC and forgot to eat while still in NYC ! We randomly found Khalsa sweet house and had some of the best Indian food in the US. I am still dreaming about the aloo kulcha months later. The portions are small (which i loved - so we could try different things). Everything we ordered was delicious, the mushroom matar, chole. We also tried 1/2 lb of the delicious mithai. Loved the food and the hospitality

We stopped here on a road trip and had amazing food. It's a great casual authentic Indian food restaurant, the kind where they don't ask how spicy you want your food- it's just spicy (if that applies to what you ordered). We didn't realize we'd also need to specify we wanted rice, so we added that after. You order at the counter and pay for your meal after eating.
