“The food is tasty. The atmosphere reminds me of me of the old fashion steakhouse. The chef is personable. The wait staff is great. Ask for John, for top notch service. The prices are compatible. It's a great place for family dinner, friend gathering, or date night. .“
“We had a large group of people for Sunday brunch recently and I worked with the Event team to get things scheduled. We were under a tight timeline the day of the event and the service staff obviously worked in tandem with the sales staff to get us in and out quickly. The food was REALLY good and the views of NYC were terrific. I couldn't recommend Haven enough for larger (or smaller events).“
“I had the lobster bisque to go for lunch. I have celiac disease and so I am GF and Jack's has a few options. I've also been with my family for dinner a few times. The lobster bisque is my go to for a quick lunch when I'm working on the area. It's very good. I asked if the clam chowder was also GF and was told it was made with flour so no... I would love to have other GF options! Overall, it was delicious and will continue to be my local lunch spot when I'm working in the area.Dietary restrictions: Some Gf options available.“
“This is a store I sometimes stop by when I think of it. The view is nice and the LA galbi and soft tofu are delicious. The young female staff member, whom I've never seen before, is very friendly, so I'm leaving a review. May you prosper..“
“Good spot for a light Japanese lunch. Recommend that you dine in instead of take out. This is the type of food you should eat fresh. Curry udon was nice. More simple than I thought as it appears they just dump curry sauce on top of a beef udon bowl. It wasn’t bad though. Miso soup was good too. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.“
“Cute room, nice vibe, pretty good food. Sat at the counter/bar, which was a little cramped. Enjoyed the fish and chips but they're not the best I've ever had, let alone in my Top 5 (I'm from the PNW where fish and chips are kind of a religion). Good cider. Friendly server.“
“This is the BEST fish restaurant in the city! We have been coming here for years now and it never disappoints. We love to start with the whole sashimi fish in olive oil and sea salt...delicious! And we end with a whole bronzino grilled and also amazing!!! And lots of different stuff in between...“
“I surprised my partner with dinner at Place des Fetes for our eleven-year anniversary. The staff and chefs went above and beyond to make the evening special and solidified the experience as a cherished memory. Thank you so much to the team at PDF!“
“The food was amazing. My ribs had saffron on them. The steak was perfectly medium rare. Loved the scallop crudo. It's been feeling harder and harder to find outstanding food at this price point, but I'll definitely be coming back. The service was also on point- not intrusive at all, definitely timely.“
“Ambiance is always low key and chill no matter how packed this place gets the vibe is always chill and never rushed.. as many places in city are crammed this one is no exception. After being say in between two dinner parties along the benches we felt smothered and opted for seats at the bar. Ofc, the chicken is worth it all. Its almost a crime to eat here and not have the crispy seasoned to perfection chicken drizzled with hot honey!!! 10/10 recommend! Enjoy“
“The Noortwyck is excellent. It's a rare restaurant that's elegant without being stuffy, that executes perfectly without showiness. It just works for so many occasions, and has become my go-to in the West Village.I'd recommend any of the pastas they have available, and definitely save room for dessert.(Also, their take-home Thanksgiving pies are incredible; they're the reason I look forward to November every year.)“
“A must for caviar lovers….It’s a luxurious experience with top-to-top feel and a menu to boot. We are upstairs for a small and cozy dining experience…but you can also sit at the bar or go to the lounge in the back-all on the first floor.“
“Watched the Bon Appetit series and wanted to come here for a while! The service and atmosphere were top notch! The food and drink were so special and delicious. Opened me up to a lot of taste profiles that I’ve never experienced. Highly recommended!“
“This is our second time at this location ( we ate at a Mermaid in the East Village). Great addition to fine dining in Times Square which seems inundated with fast food and chain restaurants. We're fish lovers and Mermaid has lots of delicious options — crudo, ceviche, oysters, clams for appetizers, lots of fish and non fish entrees. We had a tuna entree that was wonderful. We plan on returning. Highly recommend.“
“My Big Bro and I came to the Cheeks right as it opened as we didn't have a reservation, but we had clear eyes and full hearts, which is likely more important. After initially being perturbed by a long line at 12pm on a Saturday, the patrons began to flow in and we were seated at the bar with the natural light flowing through the big window panes that overlook Bond Street. I honestly prefer bar seating most of the time, just way more mellow.I was BIG hungry as I had just MOGGED the squat rack, pushing 135 for like 10 reps... Funny enough my nickname in high school was actually Big Hung, haha.We sat and big bro does this thing he loves to do where he asks the waiter what they recommend, only to not get whatever is recommended ahahhaaha. We opted to get the grilled cuttlefish, chicken wings, crab fried rice, and the steamed fish. I normally only highlight one dish, but this meal was a total team effort. WE NOT ME!The cuttlefish was like a less chewy octopus that had some SPICE, it even tapped big bro out! Chicken Wings at $15 were a STEAL and delicious. Crab Fried Rice was the glue guy willing to do all the dirty work. Crab Fried Rice was Tony Allen, just a DAWG... It brought our palates back to earth before that steamed fish.Steamed fish was PACKED with flavor, herbs, and spices and sits in a delectable cilantro lime broth that I may or may not have been eating by the spoon once we eliminated the fish. It was the perfect end to a perfect meal. The Cheeks lived up to the hype, some of the best Thai food I've had in NYC… But the best I've ever had still belongs to Kalaya in Philly. If you ever in Philly you gotta get to Kalaya, it's spiritual.IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__“
“Could not say more positive things about this place - they had an extensive drink menu with well balanced cocktails and yummy food. My fiancé had been searching for chocolate pecan pie this past holiday season with no luck, so we were overjoyed to find out that they had it. The vibes were splendid and service was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back.“
“I was lucky to have found a table a couple of hours before the dinner started, I went alone and it was a great experience. Some of the combinations of flavours were very interesting, would recommend it.The courses paced quite well, I'd say just slightly too fast.Vegetarian options: Just don't come here if you're vegetarian, even if they offer something it'd be a waste of money.“
“Wow…! If you follow my reviews, you probably know I’m picky. Sitting in Maison Premiere right now and I have no words except awesome! These are the nicest waiters that i’ve ever met in the whole New York City restaurant experience until now, trust me, we’ve been to Michelin-starred restaurants and the waiters can’t compare to the genuine feeling that the waiters here make us feel. Amazing drinks; try to get a table along the bar then you can enjoy the bartender shows, they are pros. Well, we go to restaurants to enjoy food, right? So here comes the food review: oysters and shrimp are fresh, we tried raw scallops for the first time, and it opened some channels in my brain lol, best pork chop we’ve ever had, charred on the outside, super tender inside. We got the crème brûlée; it was smooth, creamy. I did taste a hint of alcohol in it which is a plus since I like desserts with alcohol associated with it. I have no better words now; will come back for a check and balance review. So far, I enjoy the experience, atmosphere, and the people here. LOVE it! Sorry no food fotos, I was amazed by the food forgot to take picture lol. Yeah it was that good!“
“Such a neat and stylish dining room. Service was super friendly and everything we ate was delicious: soup, clams (raw and fried), salmon, and more. only miss was the dip with house made potato chips, but the chips were divine. We will return.“
“Mr. Henry very kind!!!! He is the best.Thank you so much!!!!!I don't like steak, but it's delicious.I am satisfied with the atmosphere and service. In particular, it is so delicious that you can refill the bread as an aperitif.I was shocked when I ordered it to be well done.I ordered medium well done, but I just ordered well done.I'll want to come again haha“
“This is a restaurant run by a lobster shop in Chelsea Market. There are many types of oysters, so it might be a good idea to use it as an oyster bar. It's a small shop, but the food is fresh and delicious. Also, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good.“
“It is a perfect place in every way from the service, to how the place looks, the food is FABULOUS and fresh. One of the best seafood in the area. They have a special lunch Monday to Friday, the prices are very convenient, the portions in everything are a good size and the drinks are very delicious.“
“This is easily one of the most unique and amazing dining experiences we have had in the city. We have tried many other comparable Japanese restaurants, and this is by far the most memorable one. From the quirky yet incredibly friendly manager to the insanely talented chefs including master Endo at the fryer, the dinner was a symphony of beautiful flavors. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Japanese experience. I will definitely be back for more!“
“Such a nice Thai restaurant with really unique dishes. My friend and I went there for dinner and sat at the kitchen table (reservation highly recommended because it’s usually full house). We got UNI AND CRAB TARTLET for appetizer (our fav!! Really tasty with Tom yum flavor), PRAWN SATAY (super flavorful), PORK JOWL with garlic rice (one of their must-try signature dishes), pandan cake in coconut (absolutely amazing dessert) and sweet potato ice cream:) we recommend guava nam jim and smokey milk for drink. Very satisfying dinner and we’re already planning to go back again! *it’s definitely on the higher end but the food is so worth it!!“
“We spontaneously got a place - reservations are recommended. Seating is rather tight, please pay attention to the volume when the restaurant is full. More authentic Italian cuisine. Taken on its own, it tastes very good. Service friendly and accommodating.“
“Come here every time am in NYC. Best Chinese cuisine I've ever had, and I've been dining out for more than 50 years. Imagine PF Chang's but WAAAAAY BETTER. And the opposite of pricey. Skip booze and it's easy to do dinner for two with appetizer and delicious green tea, for less than 40 dollars.“
“Overall - really unique spot that I recommend! The food was the highlight. Kangaroo tartare is a must (details stood out - the homemade chips on down) and the monkfish was one of the more unique fish dishes (along with some incredibly flavorful fried sunchokes) we’ve ever had. The venison heart skewers were tasty and fun, but nothing to write home about and I’d probably skip them next time.Wine menu was solid and the glasses we had were new to us/also well priced.Service was good overall - had a mix of team members working with us and the owner (?) came by multiple times to make sure everyone was doing okay, which was a nice touch.Ambiance-wise it was so so because we were in the back and also sat in between other seatings so it was oddly empty for part of the meal, but I chalk that more up to circumstance than the restaurant itself. The check - we paid $220 for two small plates, one large plate, and 4 glasses of wine. This isn’t bad largely because the wine glasses were well priced and we didn’t eat a ton. The food is definitely on the pricier side for the dish size ($25-30 for small plates, $50+ for large) but not super expensive.“
“Best experience!! We had a private event at American Brass in January for about 20 people. Everything was perfect! The restaurant is gorgeous, and the food was delicious! We loved the style and atmosphere of the restaurant. Our menu included a champagne toast, appetizers, their amazing focaccia bread, steak frites, the polenta, passed desserts, and a cake. They were also able to accommodate a vegetarian option. It was all so good!! Everyone really loved their food, as well as drinks at the bar afterwards! The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Tegwyth, American Brass’s Events Manager, was so thoughtful and instrumental to planning our event! She worked closely with us for months leading up to the party and had great suggestions. Ellen, American Brass’s Executive Pastry Chef, made us the most beautiful and delicious cake. Everyone was raving about the cake! Juan, our server, was also phenomenal and went above and beyond. The restaurant is directly across from the Gantry Park Piers, great for photos. Everything was beautiful and polished. It felt fancy and well put together. Highly recommend American Brass and their team for small weddings and events! Thank you again!“
“More people should know about Pearl. Eaten here three times now, food is consistently well above the already high NYC average. Dishes manage to amazingly be both innovative and also respectful to the traditions of the countries they’re inspired by -congrats chef. Cocktails also excellent, thank you bartender. And our waiter was charming, insightful, and accommodating. Bravo ???Vegetarian options: Kong xing cai like dish was goodDietary restrictions: Was able to accommodate no pork, lactose free and low-carb member of our party, as well as a vegetarian“
“Wonderful experience all around. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive. It was very helpful when it came to suggesting pairings. The wine and cocktail list is great. The food was really excellent. I recommend the Amberjack and Hamachi collar. Dessert, we had the mezcal flan. 10s across the board.“
“An intimate local cocktail bar with a well-curated selection of drinks. Their drinks menu is very extensive which was nice to see. My favorite drinks were the Shiso Painkiller and Paper Plane. We also got the cheesecake, which was perfection <3. Great happy hour deals - they also have a "nighttime happy hour" which is from 10pm-12am! Suuuper friendly and helpful staff and good vibes overall. I would love to come back for oysters next time.“
“I went for a steak, And it was perfect. My wife and I shared the 16oz Prime NY strip and the potatoes and creamed spinach. Everything was just how we wanted it to be. I highly recommend dining at Gus's. Now all I ask for is a beef porterhouse on the menu. :)“
“First of all, this is my second time appreciating the sushi sets! I specially love eating omakase, I had been tried a variety of place. But, at last I decided the best of this store, I could really taste the freshener of a variety of fish because I really can sense the brilliant through my tongue! Price are affordable in comparison of others. Environment brings good vibes. I definitely will back and back!“
“The food was excellent. We started with the crispy shrimp heads and crab croquetas, and then for mains, my wife had the seabream and I had the fried skate wing. Every bite was wonderful. (I literally began salivating just thinking about it!)The staff were also excellent: every one of them - be they taking an order, guiding you to the bathroom, or dropping off food and drinks - made a warm and genuine personal connection. A model of what service should be like in 2024 NYC.If it weren't for the uncomfortable seating, I would have easily given a 5-star ranking. We sat on stools at one of the tables across from the bar/kitchen. While sitting on backless stools may be OK for a bar, I would prefer something more comfortable for a proper meal. The bigger problem was the close proximity of the tables against this wall. A larger man was sitting behind my wife and she was shoved close to the table for the entire time (honestly, the gent himself looked quite uncomfortable as well). I was literally leaning back-to-back against the stranger behind me but that felt weird, so I ended up pushed up against the table, slightly bent over for most of the meal. Toward the end, I had a sensation in my stomach that perhaps I wasn't sitting in the best position for digestion. Our meal completed, we were anxious to stand up, stretch, and leave (would have liked another round of drinks but couldn't bear it any longer). But maybe that's the idea?: they're not going to have a lack of guests so perhaps they prefer that diners are uncomfortable, so they don't stick around and the table frees up quickly (this was my wife's - a restaurant worker's - guess). Could just be the cold hard business decision: squeeze in one more 2-top and you can make an additional $500-$800/night.SO, if you're a making reservations for a party of two, this is an odd instance where I'd recommend getting seats at the bar: you'll still need to sit on stools but at least you'll have a bit more room behind you and only have to deal with an occasional guest or server brushing against you. (Note: parties of 3 or more get sat at proper tables.)“
“amazing food. I recommend all my friends here. What I had the last time I went... App - Curry Puff - Thai dumpling Entree - Red curry beef - Khao soi nua Drink - Thai ice tea - Pi-lin (Mocktail) Dessert - Banana sticky rice You HAVE to try this place.“
“I celebrated my 60th birthday last night at Rocco's and what an amazing treat! From the restaurant manager who doesn't miss a single detail to the gentlemen servers who are all professionals with glowing personalities. We were provided with a dessert on the house so they could put a candle in it and sing to me. It was like listening to a well-trained Italian Quartet. The food was beyond reproach as were the drinks. I cannot wait to visit Rocco's again and would recommend to anyone in the area. The decor is wonderful and the attention from Vinny and his wonderful sense of humor only added to our wonderful evening.“
“Bomb bulgogi with the accentuated marinade. Soy marinated raw crab that was surprisingly eat to eat. Kim cold noodle soup. All with great execution. If I could nitpick, it'd be that the space is a bit brighter than I'd like, but that kind of the Junho Choi style. All good. This place is the real deal and my meal was just hit after hit.“
“It was a Sunday early evening and we didn't know where to go. We wanted to try a new place out and wandered here. We've wanted to try this place and decided that day we would try it out.Everything was good! From the drinks, to the food and the ambience. Good vibes all around.(Seen Photos section for pictures)“
“I absolutely ADORED this place! I came here with my partner last weekend and I got the Shishito Smolder Margherita and she got the Clarified Cocktail Flight! Both were so mfing delish!!!! Such a cute atmosphere and so romantic. Not to mention the service was PHENOMENAL our server was so attentive and sweet and barely any wait at all. This is one of my new favorite bars in Manhattan and we will definitely be coming back!“
“Another top notch dining experience. I have tried many upscale restaurants in Manhattan but I find myself frequently drawn back to this one. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service and professionalism. The ambiance is warm and elegant. And the in house pastry chef is superb. This is how fine dining is supposed to be.“
“My husband and I ate there tonight and had an amazing experience. The staff was very attentive and had exceptional hospitality. We ordered the porterhouse for 2 and it was cooked and served to perfection. The manager Albert was so personable and kind as he visited our table throughout the evening to be sure everything was just right. The whole experience was fantastic -including the fun 80s playlist! We will not hesitate to come back the next time we are in New York. Highly recommend!“
“Mussette in Harlem is a wine bar that truly understands the art of hospitality. From the moment I stepped in, the customer service was stellar—attentive without being overbearing. The Women’s History wine flight they offer is not just unique but also a testament to their commitment to inclusivity and celebration of diversity in the wine world. And let's talk about their charcuterie boards—absolutely sublime! The selection of cheeses, dried fruit and nuts paired perfectly with the wines we chose. But what truly sets Mussette apart is the warmth and genuine passion of the staff. They made our evening unforgettable, offering insights and recommendations that enhanced our experience. If you're in Harlem and looking for a cozy spot with exceptional wine and hospitality, Mussette is the place to be.“
“Great vibe. Absolutely LOVE the jazz trio. Food tasted great. Portions are quite small for the price, and the steak was very especially grizzly, unfortunately. Very attentive and well trained staff. Lots of push upselling drinks on the drinks, and they brought bottle water we had to pay for despite asking for tap 3 times. Wonderful wine and cocktails menu. Overall I would recommend for special occasions.“
“Look, this isn't my type of place. It's clearly for people who make more money than me... but... the fusilli with octopus and beef bone marrow is so damn good (as is the grilled octopus). You can tell the pasta is made fresh and the octopus is high quality. Italian portions as well. I would rather pay $45 for that and have a glass of NYC water than have lunch and drinks at any number of places that serve mediocre quality ingredients, dress it up so it looks good on Instagram, charge $45 and call it "fancy".“
“Came here for brunch on a Sunday - reservations are needed as they don’t accept walk in (there are only 12 seats). The service was great, as was the food. The fish was cooked perfectly and the side vegetables/miso soup was delicious. We got both a regular ($30)and a large set ($38). Personally, I don’t think the 2 extra side vegetables were worth the $8 difference. However, all in all, it was a pleasant meal and I would recommend it.“
“There is not much variety of food, the atmosphere is good but there is no place to give celebration surprises, I didn't like that. I went to celebrate my first year anniversary and I couldn't give the surprise because they didn't do that there. That's what I liked. I'm quite disappointed.“
“It's just a stellar place, the interior is gorgeous, and our party decided to stay in the outdoor cabin. For a party of six, it was cozy but be wary of be who sits on the outside sometimes that wind will cut deep between the sliver of an opening. The food and service was exceptional. Truly great experience. It “
“Food and beverages are a bit pricey, and their happy hour is very limited. The oysters are about $2.50 each. Beverages and cocktails are about $2.00 less during happy hour. What made our experience nice was the friendly server. She was full of good cheer. There were a few families with children, so the place felt warm and welcoming.“
“Ocean Prime is a must if down in NYC. We had came for my wife’s birthday and had an amazing experience. Our serve Ripon was amazing and made great suggestions for drinks, entrees, and desert. He made sure my wife’s birthday was perfect. The food was amazing and the drinks were great too.“
“Had the pleasure of having Darren G as my waiter and he made my experience extremely welcoming and amazing. He recommended the best ribeye steak ever and was so polite and so attentive. Definitely coming back and making sure I ask for him again.“
