“Came on a slow day where we were the only diners so keep that in mind, but the service was really great and so was the food. The portions look deceptively small but it was very good and filling! Their banh mi fries were the highlight of the meal, but all the dishes we got were delicious and the drinks were good, too. My only complaint is that the jumbo crab fried rice made it sound like it would have big chunks of crab, but it didn’t - it still had a lot of crab pieces, just little ones. But it was still really good! I’d definitely come back here as my friend is already a loyal customer here :)PS: I also really love their Thai iced tea, it’s not very sweet and goes really well with their desserts.“
“I have NEVER had better local Thai food... and I’ve had the pleasure of eating Thai food in Thailand! I wandered in this evening and the chef worked magic with Drunken Noodles, spicy basil fried rice and THE spring rolls! OMG...!The Tom Yum and Tom Kha were amazing! You want deliciously authentic Thai food do not miss an opportunity to enjoy River Thai !“
“Soothr is a staple of NYC. It’s not your traditional americanized Thai food. It’s authentic and the koong karee is to die for. Gavin was my server tonight and he was so great that I wanted to leave a review for his 10/10 service. A must visit!“
“Genuine spicy Southern Thai food - they don't tone it down for westerners. Some dishes have an American/fusion twist like steak krapao but they were still really good. The sator (stink bean) with prawn was good and authentic! Service was friendly and although most of the reviews are 5* because they offer you a discount for leaving one, mine is genuine and I'm writing it after my visit...“
“The host was super gracious, efficient and made an effort to accommodate folks as they flowed through the intimate space. I opted for takeout and asked for recommendations. I went with his suggestion of the crab omelette...wow! What a complex but simple dish with balanced sauces to complement. Keep up the amazing service and cuisine. Looking forward to coming back to dine in!“
“One of the best pad Thai dishes I have ever had. Very good taste. Fairly good prices too especially considering it's nyc. The staff was also super friendly. Pretty short walk from Grand Central. Will definitely come back whenever I am in the city.“
“One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to in Manhattan! The spicy lemongrass ramen is one of my favorites but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Such a fun vibe and amazing decor. One of my regular spots to visit when dining out you won’t be disappointed.“
“What a find— the food is next level delicious, fresh, beautiful! This was truly an unforgettable experience and will recommend this place to everyone!Stand out dishes: Pad Pa (spicy but delicious) + Pumpkin Custard ( wow wow wow).Thank you to the lovely staff!“
“Stopped in here for lunch - service was super quick and staff was extremely attentive. I ordered the crispy pork belly and Khao Soi. They start you off with complimentary wings which were amazing. The crispy pork with all the fixing was delicious - the mint was a nice touch that enhanced the flavor overall. But the soup - one word - MAGICAL!!! I got the mild version which was probably one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!! Absolutely recommend this place! So so so GOOD!!!!! A must try.“
“Great spot for Thai in midtown. Their menu is broken out by the different regions of Thailand so it was fun to try something from here and there. Entrees all came with rice which was great. Everything came out super fast and service was very attentive and really knows their stuff. Looking forward to coming back to try more dishes! Also interior of the restaurant is very nice and it’s two floors so it’s also spacious. Recommend making a reservation.“
“We did take out today but have visited Up Thai on several occasions. The food here is on point. We especially enjoy curry puffs, pra ram, the new salmon dish, Thai basil, and a few others. The food is tasty and well presented. We take home a distance and the food holds up perfectly. Everyone treats us well here.Vegetarian options: Tofu, noodle and many vegetable varieties too“
“The place is packed and bussing. Definitely a popular spot. We arrived early but was seated 10 minutes passed our reservation. Not a big deal. However, the food portion is just a bit too small. I am ok with the pricing level, but it was barely 10 pieces of crab with curry sauce and you will have to make a lot of rice to make up the volume for the food. A bit over hyped. The flavor is good but again, it’s nyc, I expect nothing less.“
“AMBIANCE: The ambiance is serene, complemented by pleasant lighting, gold utensils, and simple yet classy details. The atmosphere exudes an industrial vibe, and the dress code is Manhattan Chic or Business Casual. FOOD: I'll undoubtedly return here. The food surpassed expectations! The Beef Brisket, paired with sweet and spicy potatoes, was a delightful blend of flavors. The brisket was perfectly tender. The drinks pack a punch, and the overall food experience is rich in flavor. The Oysters showcased exciting flavor palettes. The menu, extensive and featuring unique Thai dishes, impressed me. Everything had a nice level of spice. The laminated, clear, and clean menu added to the positive experience. SERVICE: Our waitress was courteous, attentive without being intrusive, and maintained a clean appearance with gloves. She took the time to explain the menu thoroughly and proactively informed us about any sold-out items. Communication was clear and easy to understand. CLEANLINESS: Utensils and glasses were spotless, although I didn't visit the restroom to comment on its cleanliness. NOISE: Minimal. Tables are generously spaced apart. You can hold a conversation here. There is no background music which is great! TIP: Take advantage of the Mon-Thurs happy hour, and be mindful of the 90-minute limit per table on busy nights. Place is pricey for drinks with $18 cocktails, and normal entrée prices $25-$30 Avg. The Crowd is very diverse.“
“While visiting family in the area, we were treated to a delightful dinner experience here. The restaurant's interior immediately captivated us with its charming aesthetic and cozy ambiance, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. We kicked off our meal with a selection of refreshing drinks, including the Cha Yen Sai Nom (iced Thai milk tea), Singha (a pale Thai lager), and a pot of hot Bluefly tea (a caffeine-free blend of butterfly pea flowers and lemongrass). For appetizers, we ordered Kang Kao Peuak (taro samosas) and curry puffs, both of which left us craving for more. The highlight of the evening was discovering that they offered Khao Soi, a beloved dish from our time in Thailand. My mother ordered her's with chicken and extra veggies. While I enjoyed the savory-sweet perfection of Pad Kaphrao, adorned with fragrant holy basil. From start to finish, the experience was impeccable, with each dish bursting with authentic Thai flavors and the overall atmosphere adding to the charm of the evening. This restaurant truly exceeded our expectations and left us eagerly anticipating our next visit.“
“We had a great time at Bangkok Supper Club. The food was outstanding, with a variety of dishes that showcased the flavors and textures of Thai cuisine. I loved the Hokkaido scallop ceviche, a refreshing and spicy salad with watermelon, mint, and chili granita. What I really like and I was surprised how much I love it and still want more is the Ba Jang lobster, a whole lobster with black pepper sticky rice, was a showstopper. It really took me back to Bangkok with a memory of having dinner with my family. It’s a restaurant that I need to go back for sure.“
“This is my second time here and has now become one of my favorite food spots. The food is amazing, and presented well. The staff is friendly and the seating is ok. Last time I felt a bit rushed but this time it was a pleasant pace. I had red curry with shrimp. It had a great flavor and came with a lot of shrimp. The Crab Rangoon was perfect. Their drinks were just ok just a bit watery. I had a mango margarita. The atmosphere didn’t get 5 stars because the music is really loud inside.“
“Amazing staff and food!! We ordered the grilled pork appetizer and it was so delicious! The meat was super tender and flavored. It just melts in your mouth! For our entrees we got the seafood pad cha which comes with a good variety of seafood ranging from shrimp, scallop, squid, and mussels just to list some. The flavors just blended really well. And the classic drunkin noodles are always good ??“
“Quite possibly one of the best pad thai dishes I’ve had. Trying different pad thai dishes in the US that could compete with those of Thailand, is no small feat. It’s sweeter pad thai but with the addition of the lime, peanuts, and bean sprouts it brings out the perfect balance of flavor for pad thai. The thai iced tea was on the sweeter side for my taste buds but nonetheless still creamy goodness. The service was excellent with very attentive servers. Interior design is an experience so I recommend taking your time to enjoy it.“
“In all food is perfect! Amazing food, everything tastes good. I’ve been there 10+ times all very good experiences, only literally only one time the waitress ( didn’t look familiar to me) was a bit rude, other than that the food and deco and hospitality are all amazing! ??“
“I’ve been frequenting this restaurant with my girlfriend for quite some time now and the service never fails to impress. The staff are always accommodating to any specific requests and even go as far as to change the table arrangements to fit your needs if there is spare space, and this is just an example of how friendly they are every time I visit. The food is also extremely delicious and the authenticity has been vouched for as well. My favorite dishes are Tom Kha Gai and the Pad See Ew which are both consistent in quality every time and reasonably priced as well.Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a nice lunch or dinner with excellent food and staff, and a cozy atmosphere.“
“My friend and I went to Malii Gramercy around 8pm on a Friday. You can make reservations, but we planned this last minute, so we just walked in. It ended up being okay and the restaurant was about half full at this time. The ambiance is quaint yet elegant, though the space is on the smaller side.We both ordered massamun curry ($18.95); I got it with chicken and my friend got the vegetarian version. The presentation was nice, and the flavor of the curry was excellent! I asked the server about spice level, and he rated it very mild, which I agree with. The only things I did not like about the curry were the remains of herbs left there, and I don't like eating chicken with bones in curry. To effectively get all the chicken, you would have to pick up the chicken, which is not something I want to do when it is smothered in sauce. I get that it's more authentic; it is just not my cup of tea.Service was kind and attentive. They provide you with a bottle of water and refilled ours when it was empty. I would definitely return here if I was in the area!“
“Let me tell you about the best pad Thai I ever had. The pad Thai was next-level delicious! The addition of a perfectly poached egg took it to a whole new level of yum. And the staff? They were absolutely amazing! Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're a pad Thai lover, you gotta try it here!!???“
“The food was very good but not outstanding. The papaya salad and the vegetable roll appetiser were excellent. The crab curry would have been good except the server recommended we mix it into the noodles and vegetables, so could not really taste it. The fried branding in basil sauce was excellent. Green curry with chicken was ok. The cocktails were average at best: too sweet and low on alcohol. So the food and drinks were really 3.5.“
“This place is dope, I highly recommend. My KHAO SOI CHIANG MAI** Beef (Drunken Noodles) was fireeeeee with the Thai spicy as I requested and I enjoyed it.My friend had a roster duck and veggies and that was delicioussssssss.I’ll definitely go back! Keep it up folks ????❤️“
“This has been my go to Thai spot for years. It’s a really small restaurant and fits around 15 or so diners, so if you come for dinner you may need to wait for your seat. Pro tip - go for lunch or early dinner. My family and I recently dined here on a weeknight and got there around 6pm. By the time we were leaving, the place was packed. My favorite thing to order is their Pla Pao set ($60) - which includes their grilled fish, choice of papaya salad, and another side. I always get their regular Tum Thai papaya salad, and customize it to extra sour, less sugar, and 3 chilis. Another pro tip - every restaurant has their own scale of mild, medium, spicy hot so just tell them exact number of chili! Hug Esan is the probably only restaurant I can think about that is able to make papaya salad to my taste. The fish obviously is the star of the show - very fresh, perfectly cooked and flaky. I love eating it with their tangy red-orange sauce. We also ordered their Gai Yang - recently it isn’t as good as I remembered and price was increased to $18.Spring rolls is always a hit here - it comes with a sweet sauce and a side of lettuce, mint, and cilantro to wrap it up for a healthy twist. They also cut it up into bite size pieces so it’s easily shareable in a group.Cash only establishment!“
“What an incredible find! I love Thai food and this is hands-down the best Thai restaurant in NYC. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating and took great care to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Even the chef came out to greet us and make sure he got the spicy levels right for each of our dishes. I had the Pad See Ew with vegetarian duck, which was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend!!!!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian duck (in the pad see ew) is the best I have ever had!!“
“Really great place for a date and drinks. The atmosphere and location and service is really great. Although it says authentic Thai kitchen, they have pho ? which is 100% Vietnamese dish ? but they also have it with a giant bone marrow bone in it. Delicious food. Very date night pricing. The food is good but the atmosphere, service, aesthetics, and food presentation is where Khaosahn shines.“
“Some of the best massaman curry I've ever had! The cocktails were also fantastic, and the restaurant space itself was really lovely with lots of plants. The menu is sophisticated and everything looked delicious. Would definitely come back.“
“•amazing customer service- waitress was extremely nice and willing explain their menu and house specials•food was well seasoned and beautifully presented!•affordable and reasonably portioned meals+ cocktails•atmosphere was very clean and picturesque (perfect for social media posts)•very clean bathroomDietary restrictions: Asks every table if there are any allergies when placing order!“
“I’ve tasted Thai food all over the city and the food here is on another level. After discovering this place, we’ve been back once a week for the past 2 months. It’s like a second home now. Tang is one of the servers and is amazing. This restaurant bring pure “
“One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve eaten at in the US, reminded me of the month I spent in Thailand several years ago. We ordered the fried chicken, pad thai, Nam Tok Moo and Kor Moo Yang Jim Jaew (thinly sliced pork jowl). All of them were excellent and great for sharing. Be warned, the Nam Tok was legit spicy at ‘medium’. We also really loved their selection of herbal and alcoholic drinks all with a Thai twist. Highly recommended for a night out with a small group of friends!!!“
“great thai restaurant with interesting interior decor. i've wanted to come here for a long while but it'd been difficult to snag a reservation. i was able to get a walk-in table when it just opened during the weekday. the crab fried rice was excellent and the fried chicken pad thai was surprisingly good (the fried chicken reminded me of taiwanese popcorn chicken). I also got the tapioca pudding for dessert which was nice. would definitely recommend the crab fried rice, I think it may be my fav one out of all the thai restaurants i've tried“
“This was some of the best Thai I’ve ever had! To be so close to Time Square there is some hesitation about coming here, but don’t be afraid! The atmosphere is truly magical, and you will feel sealed away from the bustling city. The northern Thai curries were phenomenal! Our waitress was this lovely little lady who was so attentive of all our needs. Please go support this wonderful business.“
“This place is such a gem. I went with friends but it would also be a great first date spots with only 30 seats (plus another 8 at the bar) - started with the Kanom Jeeb Pak and Kanom Jeeb dumplings which were both delicious and my friends and I shared the rib eye which was unbelievably flavorful and cooked to perfection along with the pad thai (which they made veggie for my friend who doesn’t eat meat) and the pad see ew. The desserts can’t be missed (we tried all three) and the service was standout. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: They were able to adapt dishes to make them vegetarian and also had a number of veggie options“
“Tried this Thai restaurant in the Upper East Side called @charoenkrung_nyc, and it’s an absolutely amazing! Starting with golden Corn Fritters and Crispy Papaya Salad, our food journey continued with Pad Se-ew and the divine Red and Massaman Curries. The finale? Red Rubies and Thai-style Ice Cream – the most unique flavors that I didn’t expect! ??️?“
“This just might be our favorite Thai spot in Queens. It's a tight fit both inside out, and would recommend calling ahead to get a reservation, but we were able to be squeezed in quickly with the help of their super friendly servers. Splurging on the super-cheap cocktails is a must, and both of our duck entrées were to die for. That soup broth still sticks with you for a long time. Portions are large so plan appropriately, but it's hard not to get everything on the menu.“
“Amazing place with delicious food!Atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of Manhattan.Perfect for dates and casual dinners too.Me and my boyfriend took Red Chicken Curry and Tom Kha soup with shrimps. My soup was very flavourful!Highly recommend!P.S.: prices are pretty affordable for such place! Hurry up before they go up :)Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to all of my boyfriend’s food allergies.“
“Food was very good. That's most important snd only diminished by extreme noise which is not the case in this small restaurant. Only drawback for us would be that some of the tables have metal backless stools which would have been a dealbreaker but luckily our cozy little table for two had chairs with backs. One charming item: they have hangers for coats and your purse!“
“One of my favorite cheap eats in Manhattan. I cannot explain how much I love this place. You go up to the counter to order and the food is ready within 5 minutes and served directly to your small table. And even though the restaurant itself is tiny, there always seems to be an open seat as people eat and leave very quickly. I ordered the Fried Chicken Rice and it was delicious!! Although there isn't a lot of chicken, the fried bits are fried to perfection as it isn't too oily and full of flavor. I especially liked dipping it into the sour and spicy sauce which elevated the chicken. The rice is also to die for as it is seeped with chicken broth, you can just eat this alone without anything else. Also, the soup is incredible as I love how much white pepper they put into the broth, the flavors are so incredibly intense. I love ME Chicken Rice. Probably top 10 favorite eats in NYC!“
“Wayla had such a kind and accommodating service. I arranged a surprise dinner party for my boyfriend and the plan was smooth. The manager was quick to respond with my questions via email and I had all the guests arrive exactly at the reservation time the day of. The plan was to get everyone else (14 of them) there first before my boyfriend and I get there. One disappointing thing happened was when he & I arrived, I told the host I had a reservation. I would have assumed that since I had informed the manager that the party of 16 was a surprise dinner event, the rest of the staff would understand. But unfortunately the host made the mistake of responding, "For the big party, right?"Maybe I should've been more clear and informed the manager to let the staff know that it was a surprise. But that was the only thing that disappointed me & ruined the surprise a little. If you ever plan to host a private dinner, just make sure to let the restaurant know that it's a surprise. My boyfriend definitely heard the host and admitted that it mentally prepared him for the surprise.Other than that, the food was excellent and the servers were great. They were all very kind. I also met with the manager at the end. Tomtom was very sweet and I appreciate all the help. Will definitely be back for a more casual dinner!“
“Great restaurant for lunch & dinner! I recently was in the area and decided to pop in for lunch. This restaurant is small but absolutely beautiful inside, very aesthetically pleasing. When I sat down, I was greeted right away and provided with the menus. Chu Ros offers many different food options and cocktails & they have an amazing happy hour. I highly recommend the panang curry and pineapple fried rice, absolutely delicious!“
“Come in for a delicious Thai meal! The large windows and light color walls give you a sense of relaxation and comfort. The food is superb! The calamari were crunchy and not extremely chewy, pairing well with the sauce. The braised beef was soft and tender, easily melting in the mouth. The salad and soup are flavorful, with just the right amount of herbs and spices. The dishes can be shared amongst others, which I recommend doing so you can try a bit of everything!“
“I recently had my anniversary with my partner at Lum Lum, and we had a fantastic time with the food being extraordinary. Dream was our waiter and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic dinning experience, we will definitely be dining here again!! Highly recommend, thanks so much Dream - you’re the best!“
“We had been planning to visit Zaab Zaab Elmhurst location for a while and finally got a chance last weekend. Their decor is cozy like home with limited tables but the wait wasn’t too bad.We heard their Thai style grilled chicken is one of the recommendations from Bib Gourmand so we had Gai Yang Vichean which came with 2 different types of Som Tum, lettuce, sauce and rice to share. The portion of the chicken was more than enough for 4. It’s a little dry but amazingly delicious to enjoy with unique sauces. It came with 2 different salads and I love the classical Som Tum Thai. One of our favorites tonight was their Kau Lau Hotpot which the ingredients were various with great portion. The broth was sweet and the meat texture was braised soft.“
“I wish they would install sound dampening panels. Otherwise, 10/10.Interesting flavors, and wonderfully prepared. And affordable, too. This is all probably why they're so constantly and consistently busy and loud. Please try the fried okra.Vegetarian options: Many items can be altered to make them vegetarian or vegan.“
“This wasn’t the restaurant I originally was gonna go to, but stumbled upon it and decided to try it out. It did not disappoint. The service was excellent and quick, the staff was very nice and welcoming. The wait time for the food was not too long and when it came I wasn’t too impressed with the presentation, but then again all that really matters in the end is the taste and oh my god the pad Thai was banging. It was so good that I had to finish my plate. The only slight disappointing thing about this place is the atmosphere as there was no music and no people so it was very quiet, though it wasn’t too big of a deal. If anyone wants to have good cheap quality food, go on to greenpoint and enjoy what this small business has to offer!“
“Delicious authentic Thai food inspired by the vibrant floating markets of Thailand in a great location in Brooklyn and the service was friendly and attentive. The establishment isn't overly decorated or saturated with themed decor but has subtle hints of Thai culture throughout the restaurant which is nice. It has a cozy and intimate feel but it's super casual. On the menu:Mama Tom Yum grilled river prawnsCrying TigerShrimp DonutsDuck CrepeFloating marketWatermelon mojitoMango sticky riceThe food was delicious but the drinks were lacking in flavor as they both were unsweetened. Not sure if the bartender forgot an ingredient because both drinks were almost like drinking a seltzer. Very pretty but lacked flavor.Overall 9/10Ig: Thefunfluencer“
“A cute little Thai Find which has amazing food . I think there is something in the NYC air! They have very limited seating but offer a huge menu !We tried their dumpling soup which was really tasty and the dumplings were so soft and good !Also had the Thai Basil Minced Chicken with rice , Warning ! It’s spicy but if you can handle the heat it’s delicious ?!And we ordered a Drunken Noodle which again was delicious, the portions are a little less if you come from outside NYC but the food is 10 times better .Recommended for great food !“
“Very nice Thai restaurant! Had the lunch special the other day and it was super good value. Their lunch special might be a dollar or two more expensive than some others, but the ingredients are definitely more superior. Well worth the money. Excellent!“
“My Thai food craving was totally satisfied with this cheat meal. Oh oh, it seems to be happening quite often lately. lol. "Deep Fried Crispy Chicken Wontons". When going fried... Go BIG or don't even bother. These wontons are a super crispy yumminess! Also ordered the Chicken Dumpling Soup, so delicious. Their food is very tasty and best of all, they're BYOB. Bring yourself, friends and your favorite bottle. Dine inside, sit outdoors during nice weather or just order to go.Metered street parking is available.Enjoy!@vinopotato“
