Absolutely loved the food and vibes! Great place for Tex Mex food! We tried Cajun Fried Broccoli, Blackened Broccoli, Empanadas, Bean Burro, Vegetable Quesadilla, Jambalaya Rice, Queso Dip and Guacamole along with a lot of chips and salsa. Fantastic fresh cooked TexMex and Cajun. I prefer the Cajun dishes, some pack a bit of heat. Just about everything is fantastic.[Post COVID] The menu has shrunk a bit but there's still a good variety of excellent dishes. Camptown Shrimp still a winner!

I tried Jose Tejas because someone suggested it. Being used to TexMex, I wasn't sure if I would like the food, but I did. I got the cheese enchiladas with beans and rice. Not what I'm used to but none the less it was good. The highlight of the meal was actually one of the bartenders, JJ. Best customer service that I have had in many years. As bars become more ordinary and generic, JJ brings back the older days where the bartender has a big influence on the enjoyment of the meal....read full review
