BYOB, we stopped at Conclave around the corner for beer. The food was good, but falls into the "easy takeout if I lived local" category. The wood fired was OK, but nothing really special stood out. It was any other Italian-ish pizza place with a newer wait staff. I live 25 minutes away and there are other places I'd rather go to.
Very soggy pizza dough, was told they had big garlic knots, but it was just dough balls filled with plasticy cheese. The sodas are all bottled and canned, which leads me to believe there are no refills like other places. They also have no pizza stands? It is very uncomfortable to have an extremely hot pie tray put on your small wooden table for 2. Very disappointing, eespecially for being in an area where pizza and subs are on every other corner. Their food is good. I’m obsessed with their gnocchi sorrentina. I could eat it daily. The problem is they are closed on Sundays. Of course everyone deserves a day off, but an Italian restaurant closed on a Sunday is absurd. Close on a Monday or Tuesday, no one cares about those days. I’d love to be able to enjoy their food on a Sunday.
