“We were traveling from Maryland & wanted some good Indian food while passing by Jersey. Monroe township’s Aarzoo was the best choice ever. I made reservations & we were seated immediately. Akshay took care of us that night. We did not want to order heavy curry based desi food & stuck with small plates & appetizers - palak chat, coconut chicken 65, tandoori salmon, lamb kabob & goat cutlets. Icing on the cake was our dessert sampler. I want to say our experience couldn’t have been better if Akshay was not our server that night. He was phenomenal!!!“
“This has become our go to Indian place for take out so I can't rate the service or atmosphere. But the food is great! I've had a variety of dals and makhanis and my family has had vindoloos, aloo Gobi, naans and mango Lassi. All delicious! My son said it was the best chicken vindoloo he has had.“
“Lets Start Here..... The website has an issue, The menu has the wrong days they are open, and the prices are different. But those are small things and I would just suggest giving them a call to make sure they are open. Ambiance of his place is what you would expect. You are not going there for a 5 star luxury experience. This is a local family owned Indian spot with great food. It is very clean but it is not going to be on the cover of Restaurant Interiors anytime soon. Service was great. The gentleman apologized for the information being incorrect, was very polite and my food was ready on time. Now the Food. As my cohorts opened their containers every dish looked correct. Not too creamy, just enough Ghee floating on top. The consistency of each meal was what you would expect. Flavor was excellent, rice was fresh, we couldn't have asked for anything more. This will become our new Indian lunch spot moving forward.“
“We've been to this place a few times and they make some good quality Punjabi food. Service is good too. Chapati is a must try item. I'm so surprised that this place is never fully occupied over weekends even though their food and service is outstanding. I would highly recommend visiting this place.“
“I had a party at home for 50 for my daughters birthday and catered all the food from Mrs Kumar’s Monroe NJ and the food was GREAT, we had a live Dosa station and a variety of dosas masala dosa, spicy gun powder, dosa paneer, dosa cheese, Mysore masala dosa, ghee dosa and green chili onion dosa the dosa station was a huge hit of the party all my guests loved it. Then we had chicken biryani, fish pakora, tandoori fish, chicken kadai, jeera rice, palak dal, Guti vankaya, vegetarian Manchurian, peanut chutney, coconut chutney, sambar, raita carrot halwa to name a few.Mrs Kumar staff was very friendly courteous and they took good care of my guests. I had a 6 member crew of Mrs Kumar who did a splendid job. They were so nice to the kids older people all the guests. I had guests of varying ages.The party was a great success and Mrs Kumar Food is superb. “After my fiancé raved about the Tandoori chicken takeout one night, we decided to give the sit down a try. This was my first time here.To start, the food was outstanding. They were beyond accommodating to us, especially given the fact my fiancé has a food allergy. They introduced us to Fryums as an appetizer/pre dinner snack and tapioca dessert (which I unfortunately forgot the name of). I had the Chana Saag with Garlic Naan and my fiancé had the Tandoori Chicken (again)- every bit of it was phenomenal.The ambiance was warm and inviting with incredible service to match. The service alone was outstanding- everyone was friendly, accommodating, and willing to indulge us when we asked about the cuisine.In short- we had an amazing experience here and we can’t wait to come back soon!“
