This was amazing! Wife, daughter and I went for dinner, I had the beef short rib special, daughter had the white fish with lemon sauce and the wife had the Seafood Cavalino' with a white sauce. Everything was amazing! The dessert recommendation of lava cake and the tortuga were to die for. The staff was super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Only here for 6 days and we will be back!
Great place, right under my nose. Located in my neighborhood , it was a pleasant discovery. Marcelo is great, and funny, helpful, very accommodating, food is really good, the steak is really really good. And I worked in a steak house for more then 15 years. I know steak. I'll be going back definitely!!!

My wife and I were sailing out of New York on October 23rd. We always stay at a local hotel the night before. I did a Google search for a small local Italian restaurant nearby and stumbled on Cavalino's. I made reservations not knowing how crowded Sunday night would be. What a great find. We walked in and didn't even give our name and we were seated immediately. it quickly became evident that Marcelo was the maitre d, waiter, bar tender, busser and chef.
