“About the Sports Bar:This sports bar provides a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff, making it an enjoyable spot to catch English Premier League watch parties.About the Experience:During our visit, we noticed that the bar was a bit empty in the early morning, likely due to its opening specifically for game day events. However, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming nonetheless.Opting for a hot toddy to start the day, we found the combination of hot water, whiskey, sugar syrup, lemon, and cloves to be a comforting and satisfying choice. It provided the perfect warmth on a chilly morning while adding a touch of excitement to the game-watching experience. In summary, despite the initial quietness, this sports bar offers a pleasant setting with attentive staff and enjoyable beverages, making it a worthwhile destination for English Premier League watch parties. It earns a solid four-star rating for its overall atmosphere and service.Vegetarian options: There might be some fries and stuff that can be hadDietary restrictions: Staff should guide you on that they are a but friendlyParking: Was on a busy road so I would suggest parking within a block or so and walk down to the barKid-friendliness: NoWheelchair accessibility: Yes I believe so“
“Great time, food, service and atmosphere. Love the music playlist, vibe , decorations and historical aspect of the location and oven. Our waiter John Michael is on top of his game.Definitely recommend the short rib and escargot. Only negative is not many gluten free options.“
“My all time favorite bar!! It has everything. Great food, great beer, great service, great people, and an absolutely electrifying atmosphere. Good any day/night of the week. They have shuffle board, pool, darts, a ton of TVs to watch football (the best Sunday fun day spot in town). I can’t say enough about this place!“
“I highly recommend The Madison for your catering needs. Their team set up everything for my baby shower and the brunch food (french toast, eggs, bacon, home fries, mini sandwiches, and fruit salad) was a hit! Amanda was helpful throughout the process.“
“Went here with 15 coworkers on Sunday night to watch the football game. It was a great spot for a bigger group, as we were able to all stand together in the back section. The service was strong and there were plenty of TVs as wellOnly issue for me was that the lights started to come on a little after 10 and last call was 10:30 so we had to leave before the game even ended. Not sure if that's normal for this bar on a Sunday“
“Farside Tavern has pretty much everything you'd want from a sports bar. First of all, they have a whole bunch of different TV screens all around, showing all the local sports teams and covering all games currently going on. Secondly, the service is great. On the topic of the TVs, I could see that the moment a game ended, one of the workers would immediately change the channel to another game. Aside from this though, our bartender (Valerie) and the manager were both super friendly and attentive. They clearly wanted to make sure we were taken care of and enjoying our experience. The place has a lively vibe with a great upbeat music selection without it being too loud to talk to others. It was fairly busy when we went on a Saturday night but I still didn't feel like it was really crowded or anything. There is a good amount of seating both at the bar and at tables elsewhere. As for the food, I got the boneless wings, which were 10 for $14 (decent deal). I tried some with parmesan garlic on it, which were fine but not great as they were slightly dry. However, I also tried some with the BBQ sauce and those were great - nicely crispy, moist, and much better than the others. The fries were also decent. To drink, I got an Orange Crush cocktail ($15), which is great if you like fruity drinks. This one basically just tasted like orange juice with some vodka in it (but it wasn't strong). My friend tried a bunch of other drinks and said that he was very impressed with all the cocktails that he got. Overall, with a great lively environment, all the local sports games showing on the many TVs, friendly service, and good food / drinks, Farside Tavern is the place to go in Hoboken for a good time out with friends or even if you're just trying to watch your favorite team play while enjoying some good vibes.“
“Sunday brunch was great! Service was a little slow to start but we weren't in a rush. We had 11am reservations. They open at 11. Drinks were great. Food was tasty. Fun and laid back, a mix of families with small children or a group of friends everyone seemed to be having a good time.“
