La liberte restaurant Reviews
I had been looking for a good Haitian spot to eat from for a while, and after my trip to Boston where it is literally everywhere I was even more determined. This place not only has huge servings for decent prices, but the food is well seasoned too. I got the fried turkey and white rice which came with sos pwa on the side. My friend who recommended the place had fried pork and rice and beans that I snacked from as well. I will most definitely be back.
When you need a fix and you're in the area or feel like taking the drive, Labonte is a great place to grab a bite. This is typical Haitian fare in terms of the menu. The rice and beans are delicious and the Griot is always on point. There are two tables to sit to eat if you're a "local". The decor is simple/ dated but it's a down-home type of spot (no frills).
