I’ll get breakfast from here often and I have to say the breakfast is very good. Just make sure you check your food before you leave, because it gets very busy in there. Overall the service and Food is great.
Awesome little diner, great local feel and flavor. I tried something very different from the traditional eggs and potatoes, Whiting fish and grits, don't think I'll find that in Kansas. My date had the omelette and home fries, everything was delicious, but warning it's a lot of food. The owners were super friendly and the locals' conversation was entertaining! If I were staying in town longer I'd definitely come again.

This is a typical hood restaurant. Very friendly service and excellent food at a super economical price. Do not expect nothing else. If you are looking for a fancy place, go to downtown JC. But if you are looking for good home made food and do not mind blending in the neighborhood I definitely recommend Nick's.
