The workers were really nice, and the desserts are great. Coming from Maryland, my husband and I realized that the Filipino desserts that are in the Filipino stores come from here! It was a delight and we love the selection!The food however was so so. It felt like i was back in the philippines with the filipino tv show playing and the tables with plastic wrap. We would definitely be back for the desserts though.
I got a bag of goodies from here. The Ube brioche was super soft and had the right amount of Ube in it. The Ube flan had the Ube base topped with regular flan. That's a good amount of flan in that small cup. The appearance is deceiving. The bibingka was normal, usual sticky rice packed densely topped with burnt caramel. The pitchi pitchi was quite unique. I like the black rice Biko(sticky rice with brown sugar) because it’s not overly sweet and hot food is pretty good too. However, it’s hard to know what you’re paying beforehand because they don’t include price tags. I’d recommend including pricing of each item so customers know what they’re paying!I do like how they include the ingredients which helps customers make decisions when they can’t eat a certain ingredient.
