“(There's a pang of sadness when I see any of my old reviews that mention Clinton's iced teas. I guess I can find comfort that I drank entirely too many of them in my youth and even my own kids got to try them once or twice before the company went kaput.)Onward and upwards... it's now (almost) 2024 and while the the shelves are a bit more sparse than I recall and they got rid of their lottery machine (which seemed to bring in a lot of old-timers) - what I'm here for is their sandwiches.Specifically their #1 Italian. And I'm happy to report: they're still the best around.(And it tasted even better after a recent not-so-good visit to a Jersey Mike's in my hometown.)Besides their incredible subs you'll find the usuals (chips, soda, ice cream) and a few random items (aspirin, Chapstick).Cool crew behind the counter.Good pricing for such a quality product.Trying to find parking is still a nightmare.'Enjoy every sandwich.' -- Warren Zevon(No truer words were ever spoken.)“
“It’s a neighborhood deli and family business that has been around for years. Whenever I go in there there is an atmosphere of neighborliness and friendliness to everyone, and he is definitely not a discriminatory business I would avoid all reviews that claim such nonsense. I appreciate the convenience of being able to walk 2 blocks to get what I need. He has very good sandwiches and Hershey’s ice cream which is addictive…better than any ice cream I’ve eaten“

In & out.Kid-friendliness: Went when i was still in school. Raised my kid on them, #1, dry ⭐. Still my favorite sub shop.Wheelchair accessibility: Street level.“
“I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures ?. I started going here about 18 years ago when a coworker brought me a sandwich from here, although it's been about 2 years since I was last here, I can truly say that my first bite made me close my eyes and hum a little tune til I took my next bite... It was just as I remembered the bread was so fresh and soft, I remember as a kid going to the corner store and getting a pickle out of the barrel I was surprised to see that. I just had to get a pickle. I was taken back at the prices of the sandwiches ?but everything is expensive now... Anyway it was well worth and I'll be going back again soon ??Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian optionsParking: This place is only street parkingWheelchair accessibility: This place is not wheelchair accessible“
“I come here for sandwiches when I meet my girlfriend at Met Life Stadium after work. Not only do they make great sandwiches, but I'm always impressed by how organized they are. Plus this place is clean. Really clean. I have seen people mop floors, and clean counters, but how often to you see an employee getting on a ladder to even clean dust bunnies out of the AC vents? That's next level for any eatery!“
“Harry really knows his customers. For years they have been saving me the New York Times each Tuesday along with the local Observer. It is like an extended family who almost live next door and care about how you are doing. I plan to keep going here as long as they remain open, and they probably are ready for you each morning before you wake up.“
“They are the GOAT of Hoboken Hoagies. Their fresh made daily roast beef and mozzarella sandwich is unbeatable. I've been looking forward to a sandwich every time someone says Hoboken for over 30 years. My dad used to bring them home as a treat when we were kids. They are just as good as they ever were. My picky kids love it, too! ?I would have taken a photo, but the giant delicious sandwich didn't last long enough. “
“Give it a try. Food tastes homemade, like your Polish grandma made it, or if you're not Polish and had a childhood friend who was, like that friend's mama made it. Food is made fresh every day. You can get some traditional hot Polish foods, pierogi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa/kraut, potato pancakes, and you can get some non-traditional hot foods, Goulash, chicken cutlet...w/mashed. You can buy kielbasa and pierogis to cook yourself at a future date, and fresh sauerkraut. Lots of imported Polish goodies, and if you don't know what they are, just ask.Fresh deli meats and cheeses. Try a sandwich!Extremely friendly owner, working hard to earn your dollar. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy.“
