“The manager Donny and waitress Marrisza continuously provide high level hospitality and service. Arirang is a community staple that serves high quality hibachi and Japanese food. Highly recommend for families and individuals of all ages for a fun night out and consistently delicious food.“
“This place is great! The food is very tasty and the service is impeccable. Their workers are fantastic!! I accidentally left my bag there and they called me the next day they were open, letting me know so that I can pick it up. You don’t find people who do that these days. I tried tipping them for holding onto and letting me know about the bag, and they absolutely refused to take any money Definitely recommend coming here or ordering from!“
“Legit sushi joint. The only thing I would change is to live closer so I can go more often. Food was delicious, fast and packaged well.Super friendly. Will immediately be added to our take out rotation. Hope they stay around for years to come.“
“I picked up my dinner order and couldn't be happier with the food and service! This is a small family owned business in my neighborhood. The food is always fresh, prepared with care and delicious. The service is friendly and helpful. The owner even delivers your food to the car if it's not ready when you get there. It's a little pricey compared to other places around here, but the food is definitely a notch above as well. There's an additional charge for ordering online, so call in your order if you're looking to save a few bucks. I highly recommend Miso Sushi!Vegetarian options: There was 1 vegetarian option in the sushi section and I in the tempura section. There's a tofu teriyaki on rice dish as well. I didn't look for more as that was enough of a selection for the vegetarian members of my family. All the dishes were tasty and filling!“
“They are friendly and hardworking, serve good food and affordable price. I wish their business stay long.I ordered Hana Hana roll, it was a creative and enjoyable dish. This place is my friend's' favorite. we ordered a lot but only $30 +tip per person.Parking: you can find a space easily on the street.“
“It’s been a long time since we ate at Arirangs so we decided to go for date night! Jeremiah was our server and he was excellent! Extremely pleasant and super efficient. He was always one step ahead of us! Absolutely great service! The private dining area had a nice upgrade as well!“
“the main course, which is very large and hearty, and soup will be included in the business lunch. The food is fresh, delicious and tons of options. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be coming back to this fine establishment!“
“Best Japanese place in the area IMO.. so lucky to live within less than a mile! Tried the pork fried dumplings today and they were freshly hand made and delicious, the dipping sauce was like a sweet soy, yum. Their ginger dressing is so good we always get extra for our avocado salad. Favorite roll is the Golden Dragon! Don't skip this place. Also very nice owners and staff, every time!“
“Tokyo Sushi is a solid sushi spot in the neighborhood! We ordered two party platters here for a family gathering and I was impressed with how fresh and well-prepared the rolls were. Placing our order over the phone was a breeze - the woman on the line guided us to select a number of rolls and sashimi and even gave us a few recommendations that ended up being solid picks. There was a wait of around forty minutes for our platters, but the resulting dishes were gorgeous, and most importantly, tasty. The folks here are as nice as can be and while we placed a to-go order, it seems like a postprandial froyo might be a great perk of dining in. As an added plus, there is a sweet $30 discount that is applied to all orders above $150, which is a fantastic deal if you're placing a large order.“
“I came across this sushi restaurant and it has been my go-to recommendation for family and friends. The service here is friendly and helpful deciding what is good to order. The salmon skin salad and carpaccio-tuna/salmon is a must try. Often times you try new sushi spots they can be skeptical but food quality and presentation is on point.“
“Lovely place!! I get sushi here like basically once a week. The employees are all really kind and polite, and the sushi always tastes fresh and good. If you choode delivery, they always deliver your order super quickly-- same with if you order on the spot! My friends and I love this place-- 10/10 would recommend!!“
“I was in Rahway and was in the mood for sushi. This place seemed to have to best reviews.Little did I know this would end up being the best sushi I have ever had in my life.So flavorful and fresh. The miso soup as well is to die for.Wish I lived closer. Will def make a point to come here whenever in the area.Place is super clean too. You can tell they take pride in their food and appearance.“
“I eat here whenever I need to slurp on some noodles bc the broth and the decent portion of ramen ? is ?. Tbh I was surprised how this was in Newark cause the outside for a sec can make u think the shop is abandoned yet once you go inside you smell what’s been cooking. The price is definitely right ($13) and I am happy a plate of DELICIOUS and savory ramen isn’t overpriced like other places. I enjoy coming here as it’s very fulfilling. And this place definitely deserves it’s recognition as it’s 2 good 2 b true 2 be in Newark (no offense) ?♀️. Overall, the vibes and food, plus free WiFi and outlets is a place Ik I can enjoy a meal while doing work or relaxing. Either way Ramen Gami is “
“This is my go to sushi spot outside of traveling to NYC. For reference, I just went into NYC last weekend to a place for omakase, have brewed my own sake, and have traveled and tried plenty of sushi places (far more expensive) via the company credit card. The fish quality here is easily on par with most places 50% more expensive. The "dinner for two" style options are a good deal and it is BYOB if you want to bring wine or sake (which I do generally when I go). The service is incredibly friendly, actually even as an introvert I am tempted to try to strike up a conversation with Mr. Bin as he seems like a cool guy, perhaps next time I will offer him a drink. Anyway, long story short, this is the best sushi spot in the area and is worth going to 100% if you are feeling sushi. Only demerit is they should be more clear on what comes with a salad as I've ordered a second salad before, and that they always offer the oysters which IMO sound expensive (I get 1$ fresh oysters when I'm in florida). But overall this is a solid five star suggestion for sushi in the area.“
“The food was good for the prices offered. The fish quality is pretty good as well for the maki rolls. They offer lunch special deals that are very worth it. I’ve only ever tried the sesame chicken for the kitchen entree but that was delicious too.“
“The food always tastes good. The people who work here are so sweet and kind. I lost my card and they took their time to call me and make sure they were giving the card to the right person. They were too kind. I tried to give a tip for helping me out alot and she refused. The service is great and I reccomend anyone to come here. Thank you to the workers in Ariyoshi for being so truthful and kind! I'll continue to rave and promote this business.“
“Ocean Sushi truly sets the bar high when it comes to fresh and delicious sushi! Each bite is a burst of flavor and freshness that keeps me coming back for more. I can't say enough about Michelle and her team who always go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Whether it's recommending new dishes or accommodating special requests, their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction are unparalleled. I highly recommend Ocean Sushi to any sushi lover looking for an extraordinary culinary experience. Thank you, Michelle, for consistently exceeding expectations!“
“First of all, the attention to some, the very kind lady waited for us because it was almost time to saw but the atmosphere was good vibes, for example the music, the food was very delicious, the airport, the magician's candy, the acevichado sushi, ufff, I have to return the acevichado maqui, I said sushi for They knit it for you, but one is Peruvian, it turns out that it's your za but recommended your guy Y7it?“
“Best sushi on LI. Alvin is the best! Highly recommend the Arata Style sushi and the grilled eggplant appetizer. The specials are always amazing and the staff is extremely helpful with making recommendations and providing an always enjoyable experience.“
“We dropped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The sushi lunch packages are flexible, fresh, and priced very reasonably! Service was fast and friendly, parking super easy, refills on green tea came quickly. First time there under new management and we'll surely be back!Parking: Plenty of spaces and easy in/out“
“such good service quick and amazing food. wether you're ordering in or having it delivered quickness is always of top priority 10/10 would definitely recommend. the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful on the inside small and cute but definitely a nice atmosphere. overall great experience.“
“Nice local place if your in the mood for a poke bowl. Offer bowls with 2 or 3 proteins of your choice. I got tuna and yellowtail. You pick a variety of ingredients, toppings and sauces. They do a great job. Fish is fresh. Overall delicious.“
“pricy, friendly staff, fast take out, had #14 TIGER ROLL, very good, excellent fresh fish but NO CRUNCH on top as advertised which is what makes this particular roll taste better. Piece of lemon would have added more taste so that's why I only gave it 4 starts., probably return when I'm in the area. .“
“A nice little gem tucked away in the APA hotel. If you have a craving for Japanese food, this spot is it. (They had Fried Aji on their daily special the day I went ) I got their Salmon Ikura Don, Botan Ebi and Otoro a la carte, and their Black Sesame Panna Cotta. Food was pretty good, better than any Japanese restaurant in the main Edison area, but there are some little things to nitpick at. Some of the salmon was still slightly frozen (I went during lunch on a Tuesday), and I didn't realize some of the salmon would be slightly grilled. Thought it'd be all sashimi but that's my fault for not asking. I do wish that the veggies in the don came as a side salad instead of in the don itself. I feel like the veggies messed up the Salmon Ikura flavor profile a bit. The a la carte sushi were great! So delicious, but the Botan shrimp head came way after the botan shrimp body. Maybe their kitchen was busy, it's not really a big deal for me but I can imagine it might not be ideal for other customers. The Black Sesame Panna Cotta was not too sweet but I do wish the black sesame profile was a little bit stronger. Again, just me being nitpicky, I would definitely order it again! I will have to go back to try more of their menu items because they do have a wide selection of stuff I haven't seen elsewhere in Edison. Their service was impeccable. Something a really upscale place would have!“
“we got the Sumo roll, beef Negi, spicy salmon and yellowtail. The Sumo Roll is a must it’s salmon, tuna and avocado rapped in cucumber with a drizzle of vinegar. its sooo goood and a must try! the beef Negi is great as a dinner with salad and rise. I also want to add that the restroom is super clean which is not so common in local small restaurants to be that clean. definitely coming again! loved it“
“This sushi spot is a gem with its creative menu featuring interestingly named rolls. My go-to is the Green Dragon Roll, filled with crispy shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with thinly sliced avocado, roe, and eel sauce—the perfect balance of sweetness. I always end up asking for an extra side of eel sauce! My friend opted for the sushi sampler and was delighted with the variety, although the portion was so generous that she ended up taking half of it home. The service was great—quick and provided by a friendly, polite, and upbeat waitress. I've frequented this place both before the pandemic and the service has always been descent. While I haven't tried their hibachi events yet, I've overheard patrons enjoying themselves during these events on a couple of occasions. While I typically aim for 5-star reviews, I must provide an honest assessment to maintain transparency. The presence of tiny flies on 3/11/24 was concerning. Though I understand that flies are attracted to food, it detracted from my comfort and left me questioning the establishment's hygiene standards. They can swiftly resolve this issue by investing in fly traps. Additionally, receiving hot tea in a plastic cup raised safety concerns, as hot liquids can cause plastic to release harmful chemicals. Despite requesting a non-plastic alternative, none were available. I hope they consider investing in safer serving options, such as ceramic or porcelain mugs, to ensure the well-being of their patrons. If these issues are addressed, I would gladly revise my rating to 5 stars.“
“What a gem! ??Had to let my food sit in the car 30 minutes for my job, and it was STILL HOT when I finally got to open it. You know fried rice is good when it keeps its heat! Wish I could've spent more time and money here. What I had was a simple but excellent Shrimp & Lamb yakitori pair, and just a veggie egg fried rice. But they have a much more exciting menu beyond that I didn't have the time for today. Cheap & unique little joint, I loved all the different seating options available too. Hope I can find an excuse to come back to Bayonne, soon, just for this!“
“Been here for lunch many times and really enjoy it. First time for dinner, and while the food was spectacular, service was a little off. First the place was packed, so factor that, but still shouldn't wait 20 minutes to have your BYOB wine opened. Took another 20 before order was taken, and then entrees arrived 3 minutes after appetizers. Took another 20 after we were done to order coffee and dessert. They brought the coffee, then nothing until the waitress comes over with check. I asked about the desserts we ordered and she was clueless. They did try to make it right by giving us some sambuca and the desserts we ordered to go, no charge. So they tried. All in all I'll be back. The food is worth it and maybe this was just too much for a new waitress. But I may stick with lunchtime.“
“Very cozy atmosphere, super friendly, we felt really welcomed which is rare for NYC. Food was really good. Fresh sushi and my husband loved his spicy Yellow tail sushi burrito. They also have the best spring rolls we ever had. They also offer free perks and food when you buy at a certain amount which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend and planning to be back when in the area again ?“
“Visited for lunch and just as good as I remembered. Had to get the Spring Breeze roll - love this combination and have never seen it anywhere else. The lunch box is a great deal too at around 14 bucks. The also have a lunch special where you can pick 2-3 regular rolls with soup and salad. We were able to find street parking out front but if you can't remember there is a public lot nearby.“
“I've come here abt 6 times so far and I've never had a bad food experience. I've had sushi from a lot of other AYCE, all you can eat, sushi places and I think this one is the best in terms of quality and variety. It's about $30 per person. The fish here tastes fresh and NOT watered down like other places I've been to. The miso soup always tastes good and fresh, it doesn't taste artificial and sweet like other places. The special rolls are a little questionable, there are a lot of special rolls that aren't my type and extremely filling but I like the sashimi and regular rolls. I love the salmon from here, so I always get salmon sashimi and Alaska rolls. They also have other foods available in their AYCE like shumai, sesame chicken, lo mein, and calamari, takoyaki, etc. Most of their non-sushi items are good too.ONE THING TO NOTE, if you come here with a party of 5 or more, you will be charged a 15% service fee. Coming here with 4 people or less is worth it when they all eat their money's worth.“
“I can’t get enough of the ramen soups at Banzai Sushi & Hibachi Restaurant. The broth is so flavorful and comforting, and the noodles are cooked to perfection. It’s my go-to place whenever I’m craving a bowl of warm and satisfying ramen?“
“My family and I order take out from here all the time and let me tell you, they’re consistent. The food is always delicious and fresh, and the portions for the price are unmatched. Our favorite thing to get is the poke bowl combo with a sushi roll. This place just became our go to dinner spot when we’re hungry and too lazy to cook. Definitely recommend!“
“This is one of the few sushi places (if not the only one) in the area and surrounding towns that has a great vegan sushi option. Namely, vegetable maki roll is very good. While most other sushi places in the area offer very bland vegan options like a cucumber roll or avocado roll and nothing else re: rolls, Mizo sushi vegetable maki roll offers a nice combination of various textures and flavors all in one. So, a nice place to get vegan sushi in Cranford. And if you go to NYC, I super highly recommend Beyond Sushi, a fully vegan restaurant offering “gourmet” sushi experience. Minds and taste buds of both vegans and non-vegans are guaranteed to be blown away. That would be a Michelin-star grade experience.“
“My daughter ordered from Millburn Poke Bowl today for delivery. The food arrived quickly. I had the sushi burrito....what great value for the money. The presentation is attractive; the burrito was packed in a lidded box that almost looked like a gift. It was packed full of vegetables and rice with very generous amounts of spicy and ahi tuna. They added just the right amount of dressing/sauce. I ate half for lunch and half for dinner. I would highly recommend Millburn Poke Bowl if you want delicious, fresh ingredients and a very generous amount of them.“
“Tokyo Hibachi in Springfield, NJ, is a really cool place. It’s got a mix of old Japanese style and modern vibes, making it a great spot for any kind of dinner. What’s really great about Tokyo Hibachi is how they stick to kosher food but still make it taste super delicious and authentic, just like traditional Japanese meals. Everything they serve is made with top-notch ingredients, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making their food both look and taste amazing. The people working at Tokyo Hibachi are super nice and really good at their jobs. They make sure everyone is happy and gets what they need, especially when it comes to special food requirements.Tokyo Hibachi isn’t just a regular restaurant; it’s a place where they really care about keeping kosher while serving fantastic Japanese food. It’s a must-visit spot in Springfield, whether you live there or are just passing through.“
“Island Kosher is the BEST! The owner personally helps scan and bag items, thanks customers for their service, and always makes sure the customers are happy one way or another. You can’t find that anywhere else in NYC. The owners bring Israeli flair and brotherhood to the environment. The store is super clean, bright, and they have the most colorful and beautiful produce section. Everything is tasty and freshly stacked because there is so much turnover. The prime meat is my favorite part. Island Kosher is reminiscent of Breadberry but slightly less expensive and a smaller mom and pop version of it. The hours are also so convenient. Driving to Brooklyn for kosher markets was a normal regular thing. Now I can just drive up the block whenever I need to get what I want. This store is 5 stars, may it be blessed to stay open for the long run!“
“Loved the food was definitely from the top pizza stores I’ve been to. I came in from Brooklyn to the store, and I will definitely come back again.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly store They don’t have a problem with kids making messes.“
“Giving this place 5 stars. Everything was just so amazing. The service was also really fast. Nice cozy environment. Did not have to wait long for our sushi to be served. All the nigiri and sushi rolls were so delicious and fresh. The hibachi was also done really well. The beef was so tender and cooked perfectly. Make sure to order the fried ice cream for dessert - so yummy! Would definitely come back.“
“I just walked into this place and was amazed by the food. I ordered three things: fried oysters, pan-fried soba, and spicy grilled roll. All of them are so tasty! Also, the servers here are nice, with pretty smiles on their faces! I will definitely come back.?“
“Prepare your taste buds for an unforgettable experience at one of Staten Island's finest sushi spots! This place is the real deal! The food is an explosion of flavors and is beautifully presented, like edible artwork. The prices are reasonable for the quality you receive, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I've been a loyal customer since moving here and was thrilled when they made a remarkable comeback after a setback. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and exudes a welcoming atmosphere. The owner and his brother were so amiable and cool, adding to the fantastic dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone searching for top-tier sushi and a delightful dining adventure!“
“I have been coming to this place since it opened. I order their food once a week and NEVER had nothing but wonderful meals from them. The go for the raw sushi. Staff is so warm and friendly! The food is fresh and always top quality!!!!! I will be ordering tomorrow!!!There were times I couldn’t order what I wanted because the chef will not work with the highest quality fish and I take that as the ultimate compliment to their customers.Sushi is seriously stunning here!“
“I always get shwarma on a laffa here. It is very fresh and tastes great. The food is wonderful, but the people are even better. Last week, I was craving shwarma, so I placed an online order. I work as a paramedic, and we got busy, so I didn't make it to the restaurant until about 5 minutes to closing. That is when I realized I left my wallet back at the station. The guy who was there (I feel terrible that I didn't catch his name) told me it was fine and told me to take the food for free this time. I told him I would come back and pay the next day (which I did), but he was so super sweet about the whole situation. It was a tough night, and his kindness really made my evening. I will find out his name next time I go in and give a proper shout out.“
“Editing my review since it's been a few years: this has easily become our new favorite spot for sushi, whether it be dining in or take out. The staff is always friendly, and everything is delicious and fresh. Just a note: the space inside is small, only a handful of tables.“
“An experience that I recommend for any “Brazilian” Sushi lover. The variety is so great, it’s impossible to eat everything. Tasty food and fantastic service. We chose the rotation option and the very attentive Rodrigo didn't keep us waiting. Great service and nice music!“
“Their General Tso's chicken is amazing! I stop by there every Friday on my way home from NY and I love it! And sometimes I get delivery and they are always on time and the food is fresh and hot! I highly recommend this restaurant. And they have sushi too!“
“Delicious!!!!!Don’t think twice- this place is amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious.Place is cozy, clean and very welcoming.Service is outstanding! the waitress gave recommendations and we absolutely loved everything! Will definitely come back.“
“Wasabi Thai has the best sushi that i've tried so far in Hudson county, NJ. I recommend getting the "Godzilla roll"; It is very tasty and melts in your mouth. Also, the staff are very nice and sushi always tastes fresh and delicious.“
“Staff & food was amazing… We made reservations at 5pm, but a few guess were running late. However, staff was very attentive and assured us it was okay. Food and service was 10 out 10…From my family & I want to thank you for your patience and making us feel welcomed. —#We will be “
“Customer service was excellent just when the food came. Everything was cold. I had a party of 10. I don't know if they waited to bring the food out all at once. So I'm undecided about telling friends and family. I'll visit one more “
