The three star rating is a gift. The wife and I ordered enchiladas verdes and chimichangas with pork, the lunch portion. The chimichangas were a bit on the bland side, but the enchiladas were tasty. The portions were small though, for a lunch special priced at $11. I don't usually eat huge meals, but it wasn't enough to fill me up. Very pleased to learn Mariachi has a location here in Matawan! Same delicious taste as Metuchen. Quick, friendly & efficient service given by Lily. In and out for lunch in under 45 minutes with nothing left to be desired. Well done! We will be back again!

Tried this place for lunch since it is so close by. Ordered a Shredded beef chimichanga and steak tacos. Portions are smaller than most other Mexican restaraunts nearby. The meat in the steak tacos was tough and unseasoned. Chimichangas were ok but not flavorful either. Seems like cuts of beef are not the best and makes the dishes subpar. Chips and salsa were tasty and guacamole was ok, too much lemon.
