“Today's Visit, March 28th, 2023Unable to pin ? our current location on Facebook, but Google Maps can, for First Breakfast on the return to Medic Unit #1201 for the start of the 8 week rotation.The Atlantic Bagel Company has a spot just across from the Train Station.Today's sandwich was a Bacon, Egg, Cheese, Jalapeno Peppers on a toasted Hard Roll with SPK...It definitely was delicious and a more reasonable price than one of my sandwiches during the last 2 shift's on Medic Unit #1201...This was a good start on the shift with a uninterrupted meal!!!“
“Excellent Mexican food -- best in the area. Restaurant is byob with other solid drink options. Wait staff is great -- I noticed they'll sometimes wait a while to visit after your meal, to ask about desserts/check. But you can flag someone down easily.If ordering take out, give them an extra 15-20 minutes. My order has never been ready on time. But always delicious.“
“Run don't walk to La Hacienda Restaurant.It's a small place, but big on flavor and excellent service.Complimentary fresh made chips with 4 different salsas were brought out as we were greeted by our sever. We started with Guacamole con Tostones, the guacamole was creamy and delicious Tostones crispy and still soft in the center. Presentation was awesome, see photos. We also shared a flaky beef empanada that was simple but so good.For dinner I had Beef Birria Tacos and my wife ordered a Beef Birria Bowl with rice and beans. Both of these were to die for. Excellent flavor and generous portions.I wanted to try the tres leches that looked so moist in the counter window but I didn't save any room.We're already planning our next trip back to try the other delicious choices on their menu, and I'm going to try and save room for dessert.“
“I absolutely love Taco stop,I did not know this place existed until I got on a huge taco kick recently. The food is very fresh and hot and will cater to all your taco needs. The staff is so nice and they are very helpful with anything you need. I love how they give you the free chips when you buy food. That was a nice little surprise on top of the delicious meal.“

“We stopped in for dinner based on an Instagram post I saw about the Birria tacos being awesome. While I agree the pricing is a bit high you can tell the ingredients are fresh and good quality....they haven't been sitting under a heat lamp for 8 hours. The staff was super friendly! We had the birria tacos which were soooo delicious they melt in your mouth! Fresh salsa and chips and a couple of street tacos....all very delicious and fresh!! We will definitely be back for more!!! Give this place a try....its worth it!“
“Had such a great breakfast here today. The red velvet waffles were delicious as was the latte I ordered. My daughter had the huevos rancheros which she said was really good. My niece had the eggs Benedict which she said was cooked perfectly. Such a nice cafe with friendly staff. Will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: They had high chairs available.“
“The birria tacos are incredible. This might be a weird comparison, but the meat reminds me of my mom’s pot roast with Mexican flavors. It comes with a yummy “au jus” that just makes it melt in your mouth. The rice and beans, as well as the guacamole and fresh chips, round out a perfect meal. The prices can’t be beat for the quality. I want to try other items on the menu, but have not been able to stray from the birria tacos just yet.“

He steered us the right directions on drinks (all of ours were amazing-- if you're a Mezcal fan, try the smoky marg), was perfectly attentive in checking in on us, and fun to chat with. “Have had this place multiple times. Boneless wings were very good. Usually get a burrito or bowl either Nashville hot or ghost pepper. I would suggest this place has an alternative for Qdoba Chipotle or moes. Good food is reasonably priced.“
“We went to a football experience. They had a football special menu. Mixed Titos for 5 bucks. So we consumed eight on the rocks. Only to find out that on the rocks is full price. This is not properly explained anywhere. Not even from the two bartenders. Who were very nice, but did not help the situation one bit. Thanks a bunch.“
“Today was my first time visiting this establishment. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and seated right away. Our server approached us immediately and was very polite and friendly. We were given chips and salsa that were so fresh and tasty. We ordered our appetizers and drinks and our meals. Everything came out staggered and in a timely fashion. The tortilla soup was to die for. The chicken wings with the dry rub were the best wings I have ever eaten. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla and the rice and beans side dish. The food was so fresh and tasty. The staff were all so polite and attentive. The prices are fantastic. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again and again. “When I say everything was top notch. I got the fried pickles 10 out of 10, the street corn also a 10 out of 10.To add to my madness I got the shrimp and jerk chicken fajitas. Babbyyyyyyyyy I was so surprised at how it came out. My food came out sizzling and I love it. The toppings were so fresh and so on point. I love this place it’s a new fav for me. 20 out of 20I had a margarita the mi casa is su casa it was so freaking delicious and I got one to go. “First time ordering. Ordered online. 3 out 4 sandwiches were on point. The other one we were not happy with. There was no option to add or remove ingredients. The picture of the sandwich had lettuce tomato and onion on it and that’s what we wanted. When the food arrived that one sandwich was dry. No lettuce tomato onion or mayo. Update the online services to customize the deli sandwiches and I’ll give 5 stars. Cuban panini was on point “
“I’ve been going to Tropico for many years, and it has always been an incredible experience. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious with generous portions, great flavor, and fair prices. You can tell they put a lot of love and care into their dishes, making it feel like a home cooked meal every time. I have been to other authentic Mexican restaurants closer to my home, but none quite compare to Tropico. I will certainly make the drive here for their top tier quality. “Overall: top place for Authentic Mexican food! Prices are perfect, portions were huge, service was so kind. Food: the sampler was huge and had so much to try! The Birria Tacos were filled! Maybe a little more salt but the sopa was perfect. Churros crunchy and sweet comes with 4 and an ice cream scoop. The chocoflan is a special and they only have it sometimes. If they have it try it! Service: the restaurant owner was so kind and showed us pictures of all the foods. Inside: nice pop Mexican music, originals, and remixes. They also have outside seating.“

I love going there and sitting in the dining room, the food is always fresh and delicious. “Haven't been here for awhile. The lady prefers the flautas at Taco Stop in South Amboy. I don't recommend that place. Los Corrales IS SO MUCH BETTER! Best Al Pastor I've had in NJ. The burrito is chock full of al pastor, with grilled onions/red peppers and Oaxacan Cheese.$14 included the burrito with Mexican rice and black beans and a bottle of Coke. Excellent deal.There are 3 really good Mexican Restaurants in Keyport. This one is the best of the three! Homemade tortillas ftw!“
“It was good ordered the Birria and fish the fish was really gross but the Birria was pretty good good enough to give them four stars solely based on the beef tacos. They also didn’t put cheese avocado or sour cream on it even tho we paid for it. It was a little pricey but I’d probably get it again“

Her demeaner with us was stoic while jovial with other tables. Secondly, they made changes to the menu that I don't care for, like the guacamole on the blackened chicken tacos. Just add Baja sauce. Also, the salad lack today's salad expectations. For one, the dressings are thick and processed. They need to be fresh prepared in house. Also, bring back the old recipe for the drunken clams. It was the best around and we've tried many. It's all there at Woody's for a nice casual meal. It just needs to be rejuvenated.“

I grew up in Southern California 15 minutes from the Tijuana border, this is the closest thing I've ever come across to real Mexican food. “Order takeout from this restaurant for the first time tonight. Chips and salsa were good. Chips were plentiful and thin and crispy and the salsa was chunky and juicy. I just wish they gave more salsa as we had excess chips and not enough salsa. Barbacoa chimichanga burrito was delicious and very filling. Pulled pork sliders as an appetizer were good too. Maduros were delicious. Apple empanadas were absolute favorite will definitely be ordering years with every order in the future. Only disappointing food item were the chicken tostadas. These are a staple for me at every Mexican restaurant I visit. I know each restaurant makes them different. I just didn’t prefer they were the way they were made here. This restaurant made them with chunks of grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, and shredded cheese. Overall it was a good experience. I just wouldn’t order the chicken tostadas again in the future.“
“Ordered a cemita de carne asada with fries on the side, a Jarrito and a Squirt Soda, and it wasn't it.... total was $27.50. The bread wasn't your usual cemita bun, and meat was tasteless, and the cemita itself was pretty small for a cemita. The service was great, and the actual location was a whole vibe. I wouldn't order the same if returned. Maybe I'll do another menu item in the future... I have hope!“
“The kid was craving Mexican food so we searched Yelp and found that this place has good reviews. The photos of the food looked good. We decided to try it. There is no parking lot for this place. There is a Municipal parking lot about one block over behind the post office. We lucked out as there was street parking directly in front of the restaurant. We ordered agua de Jamaica. Huge glass for $4.95. I would guess that it's 16-20 ounces. Gigantic. Well priced. We ordered guacamole which was good too. They didn't give us any salsa for the table like they do at other Mexican joints. For our mains, we ordered their mixed fajitas with shrimp chicken and beef. It was about $21 and it was a huge dish. It's not the usually fajitas that I've had at other places. Theirs comes in a delicious sauce which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was a generous portion and the flavors were on point. We recommend it. Our other dish was the El Rinconcito which came with grilled items: pork cutlets, beef, chicken, shrimps cactus, Spanish cheese rice and beans. It was an alright eight. We prefer the saucy fajita dish more. We def plan to go back. Next time, we are going to order their molcajete which is listed at $34.95 so I assume it'll be a huge dish for two based on the price. From the owners description, it Comes with all kinds of meats steak chicken shrimp pork sausage. I'm trying my best not to go back two days in a row but I may swing by for Lunch later. Good is good as is service. Good came out quick and she asked a few times whether we needed anything else. I believe they give some sort of cash discount or charge to use credit card because she asked how I was paying. They add an auto tip of 15% which I didn't mind. Gave her a few bucks more. All in all, it was a good meal. Appears to be a small mom and pop store and I'm happy to support local small business. It helps that the food is delicious too.“
