“We stopped here on Christmas Eve 2023 while traveling through the area. It was relatively empty, but there seemed to be a brisk takeout business with phone orders and folks coming in. Seems like a family restaurant that enjoys serving the community.Service was quick and professional, accommodating and not pushy. We split a Greek salad, which was simple but amazing tasting. We both got gyros, but mine had the lamb souvlaki with it, which was a little dry and overcooked (I ordered it medium) l, especially compared to the gyro meat.Would definitely recommend and visit again if in the area.”
“Overall a place to relax and enjoy yourself eating in a nice quiet atmosphere, with fresh food, and delicious, service ??? I truly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back. And sorry I didn't share a picture, but I was so concentrated on eating and having a wonderful time with my husband that I didn't even think about that.”
“This place is so cute. The people are friendly and their food is homemade and delicious. Their soups and grill cheese are to die for and their baked goods are fantastic. The owner is a local mom and so nice. Love supporting this local small business!!!”
“?Tropical Hut in Maywood, NJ. Tropical Hut in @boroughofmaywood Maywood, NJ offers authentic Filipino food that is made fresh daily. Every time I’m in town I have to stop and get Lechon Kawali and Pork Barbecue ? There is some seating in the back but it’s really a market type of feel. Everyone is nice and friendly! “My first time dining in my wife has been here before. I've had their pizza in the past and it was delicious. Tonight we had a Nonna pie, squid ink pasta with shrimp and crab meat, fried calamari, New England Clam Chowder, bread and pistachio cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Nonna was flavorful and crispy. Clam Chowder was light and full of clams. The squid ink pasta was some of the best we had. Calamari was great as was the complimentary bread. For dessert we had the pistachio cheesecake a nice way to end the meal. Owner Rosario and staff treat you like family. Our server Marcella was top notch.”
“This is a place I visited quite separately after the pandemic, but it still tastes good, the price is great, and it provides great service and I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED it.”
“I had the French dip sandwich, had a Tito's lemonade ( sorry I forgot the actual name of the drink) and a Moscow mule everything was fantastic, and the band playing that night was the cowboy and the hippie. Music ranging from the late 60s to the early to mid 80s both Rock and country. Will definitely be returning!!!!!!”
“We found this hidden gem ice cream shop at the time we visited nearby seafood restaurant nearby. We saw there was a long line standing in front of its window. My friends mentioned it's one of the best ice creams in local. Therefore we had to taste it. I ordered one scoop of mint flavor and one scoop of blackberry flavor. It tasted so creamy and I could feel the freshness blowing on my face. Because we just came back from our European trip, the ice cream from this shop reminded me of the ice creams we ate in Europe.”
“I hadn't been here in about a decade but I decided to give it a try. Service is super friendly and the food was surprisingly fresh. Keep in mind I purchased a couple of Chinese dishes and they reminded me of how Americanized Chinese take out was prepared years ago before many places decided to jazz it up and raise the prices dramatically. The General Tso's chicken and Chicken with Chinese vegetables hit the spot and the price tag for 2 lunch specials and a can of soda was just over $20. One thing I noticed was that the prices on the "Tex Mex" style food seemed a bit higher than what they were worth.”
“(Translated by Google) The best delicious Tolimense tamale, the best Bono bread here, I loved it, the empanadas wooooo,(Original)El mejor tamal tolimense delicioao, el mejor pan de Bono aquí , me encantó, las empanadas wooooo,”
“Not the greatest Thai Food I have had but definitely not bad either. While all the items were cooked well, flavor-wise it could have been better. Especially the Pad Thai was just average, and I usually use it as baseline when ordering Thai Food. I would have given 4 Stars, if at least the price was not so high.”
“I order now and then when I don't feel like cooking. The pizza today was usually good as usual but awesome. The pizza was large and true to large size. Generous with cheese and pepperoni and nice thick slices on thin crust pizza. Just the way I like it. I'm recommending to order pizza ? pies from Mario’s. Their quality won't disappoint anybody. Thanks Mario’s!!! I'll continue to come.”
“Great food chicken is great however prices went up significantly across the board on their menu. Small space with a few tables more of a takeout/pickup place and parking is limited.”
“The fried rice here never disappoints me, the ribs are soft and delicious, the portions are large and the prices are reasonable, the food is always ready on time, besides it is my brother's favorite Chinese place.”
“I cannot say enough about this exceptional restaurant. I have been following the chef for some time and finally was able to get a reservation for my anniversary. The location is in the middle of Lincoln Center and was beyond gorgeous to compliment this equally elegant restaurant. From the moment I entered, I was greeted by friendly staff who were immediately attentive and responsive and didn't feel pretentious or stuffy. I started at the bar and enjoyed two cocktails while I waited for my plus 1. The drinks were fantastic. By the way, I am a mixologist who travels to exceptional cocktail bars. This place had drinks that stood out. They were refreshing, while spirited and tasty. The nut cracker was not too boozy, but a delightful game changer like I have never had before (I usually hate this drink made by other establishments). Then, once we were seated, we ordered a medley of dishes from the Hamachi Eschovitch, to the Oxtail and Crab Rangoon and the Egusi Dumplings to start. Everything we ordered was eclectic, unique and truly melted in your mouth. Some items had a bit of a kick, but nothing overwhelming (except for the side sauce provided - beware). Then, for dinner, we enjoyed the Sofrito Roasted Chicken which was perfectly cooked, juicy and had an assortment of flavors and reminders of my childhood (just like grandma made). We also ordered Mom's Shrimp Dish which was another award winning dish. For dessert, we ended the meal with the rum cake. Spectacular! I highly recommend this phenomenal restaurant for a unique and exceptional culinary experience. Kudos to Kwame and wishing you much success.Parking: Parking is expensive. Take the train instead or a taxi. Both more affordable options.”
“Such a great experience! The atmosphere was inviting, the food was delicious (they accommodated our pescatarian restriction well), and the service was attentive. We will definitely be back!”
“Tonight I ate at Mari in NYC. It was exQUISITE.Now, everybody with a mouth knows that Asian cuisine in general is typically based on a careful balance of complimentary yet competing flavor components. Salt. Sweet. Sour. Umami. Astringence. Fermentation. All sorts of things that Western culture never thought to combine until the world started to get smaller and smaller. And that combination of flavors makes a lovely "photograph" in your mouth. What isn't quite as widely discussed is that in addition to that static dimension of flavor combinations is the dance of flavors over time. The added dimension. Some Asian food doesn't give you a photograph, it plays you a movie. From the moment you put a bite into your mouth, a whole show begins to unfold and if you're anything like me you close your eyes and ride the wave ignoring all outside distractions. That isn't unique to Asian cuisine, but I would argue it is Asian cuisine that takes it to the highest level.Dinner tonight was like that.I love my friends. I love sharing a meal with them. But I was glad I was alone tonight. I didn't want to talk about it. I didn't want to hear anyone else talk about it. I didn't want to distract from the experience for even a moment. I just wanted to be in the moment. I didn't take pictures. I didn't take notes. I don't remember squat from what they told me as the tasting menu progressed. I just remember each bite.So if you're in NYC and you're in the mood to blow a stash of cash on a night to be remembered, you heard it here first: Mari NYCMy parting comment to the chef that prepared my food was "You guys are gonna OWN this city." And they will.Sit at the counter. Trust me.”
“An amazing place!! Unique dishes, incredible wine, and really exceptional service. Such a fun spot. We absolutely love it!! Thank you guys for a wonderful night :)”
“Genuine spicy Southern Thai food - they don't tone it down for westerners. Some dishes have an American/fusion twist like steak krapao but they were still really good. The sator (stink bean) with prawn was good and authentic! Service was friendly and although most of the reviews are 5* because they offer you a discount for leaving one, mine is genuine and I'm writing it after my visit...”
“Really like this Thai restaurant, I have been coming here more than 5 times in the past year. My favorite dish is the goong Karee and the fried fish, super delish!”
“Great spot to have dinner before the theater. Wonderful service, great ambience. It’s definitely pricey but expected for the location.I would recommend getting the leeks, escargots, and the halibut. The martinis are also wonderful!”
“If we could give 10 Stars we would. A magical and unforgettable night. Impeccable service from the moment you step into the entrance, it felt like a different world. The food was superb, presentation a dream but what made the night was the service! Professional, cheeky and attentive, Ricardo and Mynor are an attentive dream team. The hero of the night were the desserts by the Pastry Maestro Shaun and his team. We are incredibly grateful to have experienced a night at Restaurant Daniel.Vegetarian options: A dream and so creative!Dietary restrictions: The team is so informed and flexible when it comes to dietary restrictions”
“An absolutely amazing experience. Every piece of sushi was meticulously prepared and so so delicious. Your mouth will go on a journey that will leave your taste buds unable to appreciate any other piece of sushi. This place is amazing and we'll definitely be back.”
“A must for caviar lovers….It’s a luxurious experience with top-to-top feel and a menu to boot. We are upstairs for a small and cozy dining experience…but you can also sit at the bar or go to the lounge in the back-all on the first floor.”
“One of the best pad Thai dishes I have ever had. Very good taste. Fairly good prices too especially considering it's nyc. The staff was also super friendly. Pretty short walk from Grand Central. Will definitely come back whenever I am in the city.”
“I love the atmosphere here, also their cocktails, and one the bartenders ?.Sometimes a little bit noisy for conversations. But still I always want to be back and try a new drink.”
“I love the new Molyvos location, after having eaten at the old one on 7th for years. It's beautifully decorated and elegant, and the food is wonderful, especially the imported Greek fish. It's more pricey than it was, but you get what you pay for. Service was unusually warm and friendly. Strongly recommended!”
“We had a fantastic evening. The Essential Menu was great in terms of taste and the corresponding wines were fantastic. The service was always friendly and very accommodating. We will be back. Highly Recommended.”
“One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to in Manhattan! The spicy lemongrass ramen is one of my favorites but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Such a fun vibe and amazing decor. One of my regular spots to visit when dining out you won’t be disappointed.”
“This is a unique treasure of a restaurant. The only Burmese restaurant in NJ is a must try. This was the first time we tried Burmese food, and owner/chef was lovely with his hospitality. Food was amazing as well.If anyone has tried Kerala food, the taste resemblance of Burmese food was a pleasant surprise. Tea leaf salad, mohinga, palata with chicken curry were all delicious. Definitely try the grass jelly juice.”
