Perfect staple for 3 hungry boys who love chicken teriyaki. The atmosphere is very laid back and chill. The neighborhood's really nice. And most importantly the food is extremely good. The staff there is extremely friendly and respectful. The food is good, I usually go with the teriyaki shrimp and chicken and my girl usually goes with the poke ball. It's really nice and cozy in there.
Sumiyaki Japan is a decent spot for sushi in the Metuchen area. First, I got the lunch special which comes with chicken teriyaki, rice, and one regular roll -- I got the lobster salad roll. The chicken teriyaki and rice were pretty standard and came out nice and steaming. I had the lobster salad roll, but also tried the spicy tuna and volcano roll.
