Aozora seated me and my friends, and it took them nearly 30 minutes to take our order, then another 1.5 hours to get the food. A couple had come in after us, got their order, finished, and paid before we got our food.Food was good but not worth the wait, and I didn't feel full after the chirashi sushi. Had the wait time been shorter and larger portions were served, I'd return. But I would not return given the experience I had.

So it took us 20mins to get a table then an additional TWO HOURS OF SITTING to get our food. we even saw people who came AFTER us being served before us and we only received our food after complaining and then it took them five mins to give us our food. even with the wait, the food was OKAY. it wasn't worth the price but it was decent. I did speak to some people who ordered their food "to go" and I suggest just ordering food for pickup from them. all in all, it wasn't bad the food but the wait times are definitely not worth it...there were also people who came after us, who were served before us and even left before we even received our meals.

Really wanted to like this place but it tasted like bad Japanese food in the mall. Sushi was chewy. Udon noodles were over sweetened and Teriyaki dishes were underwhelming and with the slimmest shavings of vegetables. Won’t be back.Vegetarian options: There are some but they are underwhelming

I love when I get to order what ever sashimi I won't!! Their cut's of yellow tail and salmon are like butter. The service as pleasant as one would expect and the ambiance is just right! BYOB and first date perfection!

Aozora is a lovely fusion restaurant in Montclair. The decor is simple and clean. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The Tuna Tataki Roll and the Aozora Roll were yummy. But be sure to order the cod with sautéed veggies was perfect and light. The crème brûlée cheesecake was amazing!

Aozora offers a great selection of Japanese and European food on their menu. With a great variety from lobster to sushi, they sure are catering to a big audience. The ambiance was really cozy and warm and they decorated for Valentine's early with all the hearts. It is very warm and lovely, you could see the sushi chefs cook up a great meal. The food that came out was very tasty, they have vegetarian and vegan options available. I ended up having some sushi, a miso soup and a tofu teriyaki. I would definitely come back to try some more things. The service was really good and the waiters were very attentive. I gave it 4 stars because of the long wait for food, but it helped my appetite.

i've never been to this restaurant before and i'm happy to say i had a great first experience! place is byob, which is great. you are able to check off on a piece of paper which kinds of sushi you want to order which i found very convenient. all of the sushi was delicious, and the service was great! i will definitely be back
