A great dining experience! Shared 4 dishes, and all were amazing. Local mushrooms with pasta. Braised duck ravioli. Pan seared scallops. Pork chop perfectly prepared (google the menu for the details!) Very good service too.

The perfect date night! My husband and I were thrilled to finally get a chance to checkout the most romantic newly reopened dinner spot in Montclair, NJ, Gioia Mia.As soon as we arrived our table was ready and we nestled into a corner spot in the back dining room. Our server immediately brought water and opened our own BYOB red wine. We had been watching for the seasonal winter menu for weeks. We knew right away we wanted the Tuna Tartare, Crab Tortellini, the Heritage Porkchop, and the Hanger Steak with a side of crispy maple brussels sprouts.Incredible!!!!
We went with some friends as a small celebration for my wife's birthday. We made a reservation on the Resy App. We arrived a few minutes early and the table was awaiting us. This is a BYOB restaurant which we were prepared for. We ordered the oysters to start. The Baked oysters were delicious. The squid pasta was amazing. Steak and scallops were also fantastic. Dessert was excellent!. The service was perfect, and the chef came out at the end and chatted for a few. This is a perfect spot for some Good eats and a quaint little environment. Highly recommend checking it out.
Nice place, simple menus, not too much to choose from. The pork chop was basic and was not to my liking pork and beans underneath was surprising and did not appeal to my taste buds dessert was hot rice pudding never had that before and didn't really like it it was too sweet , sorry but we would not return.

Took my wife here for a date night last Saturday. Nice atmosphere, not too loud. Food was good. Big issue here was the service. Our server was lovely, but we had to wait almost an hour for our entrees. The poor couple next to us had to wait 20 minutes for someone to take their credit card. They're clearly understaffed which stained the experience a bit. That said, I know they opened just recently so we're willing to give them another chance given that overall experience was good.

We loved it when it was Fascino and we have now tried Gioia Mia and it’s a great rival. I liked how it’s not conventional Italian American. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Hello, fellow diners! Lemme tell ya, this place is amazing ? We were in from out of town, and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! The food was incredible, from the apps to the entrees. Their special Pate was to die for, and the Delicata Squash is a must-try. I could go on & on about the Braised Duck & Taleggio Triangoli and the Scallop Crudo, but I'll let you try Gioia Mia for yourself. Moreover, the service was just as amazing as the food ? Our server was super-attentive & did a terrific job at handling our large party. The Head Chef stopped by after we finished, to say Hi ? Then, the owner, Mary, came to our table to check on us a few times, which was really thoughtful. It was such a friendly atmosphere, and I'll definitely return when I'm back in the area! Do yourself a favor & give it a go!
