Hey Montclair, visit for great Thai Food! Traditional dishes and excellent rotisserie chicken. Dishes were exceptionally flavorful. Really delicious and our new go to. Service by Stephanie was excellent! Highly recommend for that Thai craving.

This was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The massaman curry was delicious and just the right amount of spice. So good I sent my compliments to the chef. Highly recommend this place. Great, friendly service and fun, casual atmosphere.

First time we ended up here was because of a wait at another restaurant in Montclair and were so happy it led us to Kai Yang! First the decor is so cute, bright colorful florals and tapestries throughout the restaurant. It's a decently sized space with large tables in the middle as well as some small tables. The ambiance is perfect for a dinner w friends or a date night. They are also a BYOB. Service is also top notch. We had some questions the first time and our waitress happily answered all of them as well as made some recommendations for us. Service was quick and attentive. On to the food! For appetizers we've had the calamari, the Tom yum soup, and the vegetable curry puffs. The curry puffs were deff our favorite. Flakey crust, flavorful filling, and tasty dipping sauce! For entree we've had the kra-prow, pad kee mow, and the pineapple chicken. The Pad Kee Mow has been my favorite, but all are delicious. I really love the sweet spicy flavor of the dish!! The pineapple chicken is almost like a sesame chicken/general Tsos type sauce but way better! Portion sizes are pretty decent, if you get apps you'll probably be able to have some left overs! Prices are also relatively cheap for the quality and quantity of food! This place has definitely been added to our rotation of restaurants!

This place is awesome. Excellent, flavorful food and the servers were very knowledgeable about gluten free options. I had Tom Yum soup and their signature dish (Kai Yang Chicken) and it was incredible. Highly recommend!!

Amazing experience! Highly recommend the duck which has a crispy layer of skin with tender meat. We also had the whole chicken which was shared among three people (more than enough). Great pad thai (a little on the sweet side). And chicken dumplings which were great as well! Nothing negative to say. And our server made the best recommendations; she was able to help build our dinner menu based on our flavor choices. You will not be disappointed. PS. Absolutely loved the dishware, so adorable.

Might be the best Thai food experience I’ve had. The server just so happened to be amazing as well. This place has everything going for it. Loved it. Thank you. I will be back.

Below is the mango salad! Amazing? next is the sticky rice with mango dessert . To the right is the main entree, basil fried rice. This is my favorite Thai restaurant!

Thai is my favorite cuisine; but unfortunately, this spot did not curb my craving or my appetite. Shrimp pad kee mow: I wasn't a fan of the quality of shrimp they used - it had a very chemically taste that leached into the noodles. The sauce itself was a bit oily and had a little too much soy sauce (for my preference). Chicken pad Thai: The flavor was on point, but the dish overall seemed overcooked. The chicken was chewy and the noodles were on the mushier side. Tom yum soup: I wasn't a fan at all of this dish. I've always experienced tom yum soup pretty similarly across restaurants, but their version seemed pretty watered down and lacked the lemongrass/fish sauce and chili that makes the soup very flavorful and spicy. The only highlight for me was the vegetable spring rolls, which were nice and crispy, but that's definitely not enough to make me come back. I'll probably stick to SLA in the area.

First time visit was amazing. Friendly greeting as soon as me and my bf walked in. Our waitress Erica was great. She was upbeat, very friendly, welcoming attitude, and helped with my choice on food. I'm not experienced with Thai food. But everything was delicious. Me and my bf had the vegetable curry puffs. I ate pineapple fried rice with vegetables. And bf had the pad kee-mow. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be back soon.
