We had dinner tonight at Papperdellle. First time. Love everything about this place. Service was great. It was early the restaurant was one third full. About 25 diners. Had veal chop special, shrimp and sole oreganata, two apps. Will return. Not cheap, 130.00 for us plus tip. Worth the money.Try it you will like it.

This is a really great place. The food is very very good although I would say not authentic italian. The ambiance is so fun with nice music and lighting and the waitstaff is absolutely the best. I wish its pricing were more like a neighborhood restaurant as I would go 4x as much as I do. I've eaten here about 6 times in the last couple of years and everything I've tried has been so tasty.

Pappardelle Restaurant is a wonderful local Italian restaurant with great food and service. You feel like you are part of the family when you eat here. Augustine greets you when you arrive and you are seated in their lovely dining room. This Montclair BYO restaurant provides the perfect place to gather with family and friends. Service is prompt and attentive and the menu is varied with something for even your more finicky eaters. You will not be disappointed by both the familiar Italian standards and the creative specials. We recently hosted a holiday party for 24 and the group is still talking about the event. Pappardelle provide choice of packages at different prices for groups . We chose a package which began with family style appetizers followed by pasta and salad courses and then a choice of several main dishes with dessert and coffee. We were not rushed and enjoyed our evening. Thank you to Augustine and his staff for creating a memorable event for our group.
i ordered my food no salt. it was the chicken pasquale. it was super salty. the server verified no salt. needless to say i wont be back.Dietary restrictions: dont rely on them to honor any dietary restrictions

Went out to new restaurant on Grove because of outside seating but as Yogi says "Nobody goes there anymore it's too crowded " so we walked around corner to Pappardelle which had two small tables outside. This location has probably been 4 or 5 different restaurants since we have lived in Montclair but decided to give it a try. The meal and service were excellent. We started with the Thai calamari which was light with great flavors and the shrimp arrabiata which was just as good. They had some great specials, besides the menu items, and I went with the lamb chops which was like going back to Le Circ in the 90's. Delicious. My wife had the crab cake and shrimp special that she loved and we finished with some bread pudding. We have a lot of great restaurants in Montclair but definitely adding this one to the list.

Wonderful. Highly recommend. We dined her as a party of three, two old friends plus a self described 'not that adventurous eater' who is 12. My friend and I ordered from the menu and enjoyed ORECCHIETTE ALLA NOSTRA and LOBSTER RAVIOLI, delicate layers of flavor, appropriate portion size, deeply satisfying main courses. Our good spirited 'not that adventurous' eater ordered 'off menu' and had a simply prepared, and delicious linguine in butter with sautéed chicken topped with parmigiana. I tried all three, all were excellent. A good friend, former professional chef, once noted, restaurants that nail the simple stuff show how talented the kitchen is. They nailed the off menu linguine... so you can only imagine how wonderful the ORECCHIETTE ALLA NOSTRA and LOBSTER RAVIOLI must have been. Our entrees were framed by a very nice appetizer and a very enjoyable dessert. This restaurant has great atmosphere, a lovely environment and kind staff. Highly recommend. It's BYOB, like many in the area. Nice reasonably priced liquor store about a block away. This is off the main strip so easier to get a reservation and park. If you are in the mood for a lovely Italian meal, check out PAPPARDELLE RISTORANTE. You'll enjoy it.
