I just got a chicken cheese steak from this place, One of the best chicken cheese steaks I've ever eaten in my life. Everything was fresh, The chicken the peppers the onions and the bread were all really fresh and really tasty Excellent.
So we have been going to Pete and Elda’s for about 30 years….Love, Love, Love it! Recently we have been noticing some really Sad changes….First! They seem to rush! They rush the apps, so they aren’t even done and bring out a half cooked pizza when you’re still trying to enjoy the appetizers!Not sure why! We go to Carmen’s pizza with expectations! I've never had pizza that tasted like it did ever before. It was almost novel at first, the sweetness of the pie. But as I kept eating, the bites got better and better. Our large pie was finished in about 10 minutes, maybe less! And the shrimp cocktail was on point too. Was easy to get a seat at the Lima bean shaped bar. It was fun to sit like that. Overall, great experience. Next time I'm back in NJ I'll be seein y'all!
