My fiance said this was the best bread she had ever had. It was truly spectacular. The service was fine. It was typical of a place in the Ironbound, nothing that went above and beyond. The ambiance feels very local and small business, which we seek out. We would rather support this than a Dunkin' any day of the week.

In an area of Newark (Ironbound) where coffeeshops are a dime a dozen, this is another great option. It is pretty central in Iron bound located right on Ferry Street about 5 blocks away from Newark Penn. All the Portuguese bakeries in the area serve pretty much the same thing, so it is all about the quality of the bread, pastries, and the barista making your coffee and lattes. Went with the galão, which is Portuguese for latte and some coconut pastries. Pastries were super fresh and most likely made the day of, and the latte came out perfect. They didn't burn my coffee which is always great lol They have an intro room and also a bigger back room with a bit more privacy so seating is not a problem here. Solid choice for coffee and sweets in the Ironbound.

Best cheese bread ever. Tried many places in NJ. Nothing beats the one from here.

Bustlin' in the mornings but line moves quick. On out second visit, we finally tried to dine in. We got their ham and cheese panini (you choose what bread you want and we got the Pao de Agua), beef empanada (which was good!), hot coco and their cappucinno. The sandwich was delicious and fresh. Bread was nicely done and overall everything was simple but worked really well. Empanada had good amount of meat too. Next time i'll try their cheese and the chicken. Hot coco was a tad sweet but the cappuccino was surprisingly good. There was just that "comfortable" taste to it it kinda reminded me of home coffee. And of course we had to take some pastries to go. We got their egg tarts and custard bun (not sure if its the correct name really) and enjoyed every piece! Being in their Bakery made me feel like I went to a mini vacation in Portugal! lol hopefully soon we'll eventually get to visit but Pao Da Terra will suffice for now! lol

Stopped in here yesterday. Everything was amazing. I got some type of Portugese roll that was off the chain. If I'd have known how good they were, I'd have got a dozen.

First timer in this place , terrible service the Spanish lady in the front had a nasty attitude just because I asked if the omelet came with any side. The coffee was terrible as well, I definitely won’t come back to this place. Owner should consider hire people who can serve better to the public.

Everything about this place is great. The ladies who work behind the counter make you feel as if you have been coming here forever. They make great recommendations for coffee, espresso, or drinks as well. The bakery has baked goods and some sandwiches and enmapndas. All of which are fresh and have great portions. Please support local businesses they are truly the foundation of the community. This was very apparent here watching ppl come in and leave smiling and saying thank you see u next time.Perfect location to catch up with friends and people watch. It's situated on a corner so you watch the world go by as you sip your cafe con leche with two beef enmapndas ?
