my first time here and I wanted to like the coffee. I had a cappuccino with almond milk and it was awful, it had a very weird taste to it even though I added sugar. this is the first time I've tried new coffee in a long time and didn't enjoy it. very bitter tasting, so I won't be back. had to throw it

Their coffee drinks are nice, with some creative combo. The indian(?) lady is very upbeat and dynamic, wonderful presence. I'm not as keen about the pastries which are supermarket level, heated and delivered so hot that you burn yourself, and ultimately saggy. A good spot to grab coffee on the way to campus.

Genuinely has to be the best iced chai latte i’ve ever had, it tasted like genuine chai was brewed. It’s quiet and everyone sitting around had a calm keeping to self vibe, just enjoying their coffee or food. Try the Iced chai latte with a shot of espresso and lavender syrup, it was so refreshing, with a slice of tiramisu.edit:Also the cashier and barista was so sweet to me and soft spoken, such a nice vibe inside!

The customer service is second to none. Such a warm atmosphere with clean ingredients which I love for my kids and myself.

I gave this place a fair chance but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. The owner of this place is very friendly, but the barista with the short blond hair is unfriendly, doesn't greet customers, and usually made my lattes very watery (showing little to no effort). I don't usually write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. This barista even refused to give me a straw when I asked for one. Yes, a simple straw! For these reasons, I will continue to visit ELAN Cafe, located two blocks down on 87 Halsey St. Newark, where the staff and service are excellent.

Great place for coffee, tea and pastries.Great selection of coffee, premium and select teas, hot chocolates. They also have "Fall in a cup" for the season!Tried the pomegranate green tea - love the combination of fruityness and refreshingness.Couple tables and chairs inside for sit downs. The service could be a bit slow though.

Giving them a 1 star is actually doing them a favor because I can't put 0 stars. Got to the place 20 mins before closing and they locked the doors while the employee was looking right at us. Can't tell you guys how the coffee/teas are because we couldn't try them. I would be upset if I was the owner...literally costing $$ by closing early.

Ordered the dragon eye. The description states it is made with sweetened condensed milk. It was very bitter, and if there was any sweetened condensed milk in there, it was a whisper of the thing.

I like the coffee of the store. There are many delicious pastries. There are many cold drinks choices. The ambiance is very beautiful. It is near from NJIT and Rutgers University. I highly recommend this coffee store for students. It has a variety of sandwiches.
