Very easy-going vibe, people talking, enjoying breakfast, and music in the background. The host is very pleasant, and the croissants were delicious. They had a great assortment, and cakes are made to order. Definitely #eatatthatjawn approved!

If I could give less then one start if possible. I had been telling my husband for years these people are terrible! Their persunto, mortendela always tastes funny not fresh. Their coffee tastes watered down. But it is always on way so he went to them once a month sometimes twice and avoided the rest because of me complaining. This Easter we didn't have time to go to where we usually went and bought 2 Portuguese Folares for Easter there. Easter Sunday, I cut one of them and gave a piece to each family member. One by one started saying Oh my God the dough is dripping, so soft in middle. I couldn't believe it ,IT WAS RAW...RAW!!! IN THE MIDDLE. Next day on Monday in the morning on way to work we passed by, and quietly not to alert people sitting drinking coffee in table, we told the lady owner, we had to bring the Folares back, we didn't even open the other box, it was so raw the dough was worst then putty. Th eowner got so mad, she turned gave my husband oney back, DIDNT EVEN APPOLIJIZE AND TOLD HIM DONT EVER COME BACK!!! Yellign at him, jesus not even a sorry. WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE THIS ONE NO CARE WHAT SO EVER. My husband is a very quiet respectful man, he was embarrassed for her and him. I have gone to other Bakeries and if something i spoiled, or they made order wrong, they say they are sorry and do order again or give another for free. This woman is the worst I ever saw. WOULDN'T Recommend ANYONE TO GO THERE. If I was a bad person, I would of called Health department on them.

I'm from Brazil and I'm very picky about everything, I was in Newark and decided to stop by! I just loved everything, I've never been so well attended in my entire life! Simply wonderful, the food has no flaws and is extremely well made and a very fair price. I would definitely go back to this place.

Delicious bread and attention as if you were at home, all the employees were very friendly.
Diligent service for over 25 years, with excellent pastries and sandwiches in a beautifully furnished space. Just check their bathroom to give you an idea of how spotless and well run everything must be. It's prettier than mine at home!
