“I got a Taylor ham egg and cheese on an egg bagel. The bagel was soft and fluffy- the sandwich was very tasty! I wish there was a little more Taylor ham, but it was just so tasty- they recommended the hash brown on the sandwich but I got it on the side- it isn't something I'd get again, it was greasy and not worth it in comparison to the sandwich. The staff was polite and quick. Overall an awesome bagel shop“
“Food is amazing! But wow, these young servers are either smoking something before work or just not interested in remembering the little things. Very forgetful on orders, refills and overall paying attention to tables needs. (Clearing table prior to dinner arriving, following up after orders come out to see if anything is needed… the little things that make the difference.)“
“Went for Sunday brunch. Everything was delicious. Almost everyone finished everything, all means were great. I loved the avocado toast with a poached egg. Friends had juevos rancheros, chicken parm, biscuits and gravy. All the drinks were very good as well.Made a reservation for 9 a few days ahead of time. There was a baby shower so we sat in the back room with a long folding table and folding chairs. It was a little uncomfortable and I got cold toward the end but didn’t mention it so my fault. It was still very enjoyable and we will be going back!!“
“We recently held a memorial service for my father at The Old Canal Inn. Mark and his staff were professional, detail oriented, and kind. The food and atmosphere were incredible. They welcomed us and our guests like family. My dad loved to go there for a beer and I understand why. I will visit there every time I am back in the area from Massachusetts. I can't recommend The Old Canal Inn highly enough.“
“I have passed this place a hundred times. Yes, today I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised. They have gluten-free wraps and bread. The unsweetened ice tea was delish. The service was on the slow side and the gluten-free wrap was crumbling and dry. I will go back and try another menu item! You should too!!!!“
“So I went here for thr first time for dinner on Saturday night and enjoyed it.Since it was my first time there I felt a bit like a fish out of water as this place feels like a mix of bar and fast food. When we walked in I thought you had to wait to be seated but you can sit where you want. You can get a menu at your table but you order at food at the bar. Also, since I ordered soda you get that yourself at the fountain or a can/bottle in the fridge. You can also pay before you eat or after your done. All the staff were helpful when explaining who the place works. They were all nice as well and that was a plus.I had a Philly Cheesesteak with fries and the sandwich was huge. Great portion size there. The fries were ok. Date had a half size ribs with a baked potato and she really liked it. My friend had a burger and that did look a bit ordinary and he said it was ok.You have to get used to how they do things, but overall for the price and what we got I'd recommend it.“
“I like the chicken cesar wraps. The only thing i don't like is that every time i come and there's a waiter, I get a different price on things. Some charge for a little extra dressing, some don't, some charged for Cucumbers in stead of tomatoes And some don't. I'd like to see specials for takeout also,e.g., dinner and a pastry or something like that. Other than that it's good food.“
“The food was very tasty cooked perfect and the seasoning was amazing. I highly recommend the butternut squash soup and the Chix Milanese the dressing waw so good that the chef put in the dish I also had the blueberry cobble that was amazing an explosion of warm blueberries in every bite. Loved everything. ? ❤️“
“The BEST guacamole!Vegetarian options: I am vegan and can always find something delicious to eat at Sonoma Grill. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his short ribs. The table side guacamole is phenomenal! The cocktails are always amazing and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Nutley.“
