“The other night we went to Sapori for dinner. We walked in and were greeted warmly. The staff here is super friendly and very accommodating. They seated us at our table by a window. The restaurant has a warm, romantic vibe with beautiful art work. We were given menus which is extensive and you have a lot to choose from plus they also had specials. They bring out bread, eggplant caponata and butter. I thought it was really good and different than just the traditional bread and butter option. We decided to go with fried calamari for an app. It was perfect.. Very crunchy, fresh.. lightly seasoned! Served with fresh tomato sauce. A rather large portion to share. Next for dinner I had a special- pistachio encrusted Chilean sea bass with citrus glaze and roasted veggies and potatoes. This was such a delightful dish. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pistachios were so good on top of the fish and the glaze balanced the dish. The veggies were crunchy and seasoned perfectly with garlic and butter. I really enjoyed this dish. The linguine with white clam sauce. Was fresh and extremely delicious. This dish was packed with clams and a ton of roasted garlic. I must say the pasta dishes are very large. Lastly spaghetti with marinara the sauce was fresh and we really enjoyed it. the spaghetti was more thicker like a bucatini. And unfortunately it was a tad under done. It needed a minute or two in the water to be perfectly al dente. Other than that this was a perfect dinner. For dessert we ordered the chocolate lava cake and tiramisu. It seemed like it was home made. Lava cake tasted amazing it was accompanied by vanilla ice cream. the tiramisu was light and not too sweet. Cappuccino was perfect not bitter or overly milky. By far I really enjoyed Sapori and I would def recommend coming here for dinner. The ambience, staff and food were extremely enjoyable! Parking in street. Small parking lot.“

But over the years the have changed the recipe, now it is chewy and kinda gross. I hate to throw shade on this pizzeria because I have been going there since I was a kid but I want to leave an honest review. And I wish they would update their glasses instead. They are so small and you got to suck with these tiny red straws. I'll admit I am not a fan of that (but it is tradition). I love their pizza but I will say it used to be better than it is currently. The last time I went here was 2 years ago. It was for a family birthday party. Most of my family was surprised with how much the recipes changed. However we mostly order pizza and calamari. So I can't say how the other menu options are. All in all I will continue to go here just not as frequently as I used to. Because it is far from my home and it just isn't what it used to be.“

I loved my drink "Pineapple Jalapeno Mockarita". The crab cake, the best we have ever had - no fillers, just fresh crab meat. It's even better than the ones you get in Alaska. We ordered the mushrooms stuffed with sweet sausage and vegetables and topped with bread crumbs, the Shrimp Scampi bowl, loaded with shrimp in a butter, wine and garlic sauce and the Arancini, large rice balls filled with ham, peas and rice and nicely breaded. All of the appetizers were delicious and were immediately finished! I ordered the double cut pork chop , smothered in peepers , onions, potatoes and long hots, cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful- a huge chop. The service was good and attentive as all of the appetizers and the entrees were produced in timely fashion. The red sangria was very good and served in nice tall glasses. We were pretty a pretty loud Brooklyn Bunch and the staff did not mind our volume. The owner takes special pride and care, and making sure every item is perfectly curated and absolutely delicious!I know this sounds crazy, but this little hole in the wall has some of the best meatballs I’ve ever had in my life! You have to get the truffle they’re so so addictive, and addictive if you’re feeling like you want to satisfy your sweet tooth they have so many chocolate covered items! “My experience tonight has reclaimed my love for Nola pizza. I’ve never questioned how amazing the pizza was, it was more when they first opened the wait was outrageously long and often was not ready after the two and a half hour wait. It was because of that I haven’t been back until tonight. Expecting the wait would still be long for a Sunday, called around 5:30 and given a pickup time of 6:45, significantly improved! My order was JUST taken out of the oven when I walked in at 6:45 and to no surprise, the pizza was divine. Got the Diavolo with vodka instead of spicy and it was just perfection. I can’t wait to be back, just need to be mindful of when I want to eat and when to order.“

She was quick to respond via email, answered all of my questions, and sat with us in person to sort out final details.
