“First time visit, I have to say this is now my favorite place to eat in rahway. Variety of tacos stuffed generously.Tasty. Salsa also very good served with chips. The cubano sandwich with steak, ham, chorizo, chicken, beans LTO on a roll was fantastic and filling served with skinny seasoned fries. Fajitas mixta was seasoned well and very tasty. Not a hint of pretension surrounds this place. A place to eat good food at a very fair price“
“So, I found this little Mexican hidden gem in the corner of Irvin St and W Grant Ave in Rahway NJ. Their food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The setting is family friendly and inviting. I’ve visited this place twice and both times the staff have been friendly and courteous. We will definitely return.“

“Run don't walk to La Hacienda Restaurant.It's a small place, but big on flavor and excellent service.Complimentary fresh made chips with 4 different salsas were brought out as we were greeted by our sever. We started with Guacamole con Tostones, the guacamole was creamy and delicious Tostones crispy and still soft in the center. Presentation was awesome, see photos. We also shared a flaky beef empanada that was simple but so good.For dinner I had Beef Birria Tacos and my wife ordered a Beef Birria Bowl with rice and beans. Both of these were to die for. Excellent flavor and generous portions.I wanted to try the tres leches that looked so moist in the counter window but I didn't save any room.We're already planning our next trip back to try the other delicious choices on their menu, and I'm going to try and save room for dessert.“

“Had such a great breakfast here today. The red velvet waffles were delicious as was the latte I ordered. My daughter had the huevos rancheros which she said was really good. She took care of us so well, she made sure we were fed great and the food and drinks were amazing, me and my friends came for “2 drinks” and left after shots and way too many drinks. “I tried their birria tacos when they first opened (1-2 years ago), and they were good but I remember the tacos were on the smaller side compared to others I've had (e.g. Chofi in Union). Granted, they were a new restaurant and I assumed still working out some kinks. In all honesty, I ended up forgetting about this restaurant. I just ordered through Uber eats today, and the tacos were bigger than last time, tasted amazing, and delivered hot. Flavor was on point for the tacos, consome, and green salsa. Happy to add The Birria Kitchen in my rotation of local restaurants!“
“I read the reviews online and went there based on their ratings. I was expecting a nice little sit down restaurant but this is actually more of a takeout place. They do have a few tables so we did eat in there. The food was fresh. I wasn't thrilled with the flavors. I got fish tacos and really the only thing I could taste was the cabbage. The guacamole and chips were very good and fresh. I probably won't go back. The people there are extraordinarily nice“
“My husband and I lived in Harrison in 2019-early 2020 and this was our local taco spot. We were obsessed. We moved due to the pandemic and to this day we haven’t found better tacos than these. I love this one specifically. For the quality of the food, the texture, the great service, the good attention. The food is fresh and the amount they put is an excessively large amount. “My friend and I got together for some good Mexican food. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted by the host/server and sat. It was a dimly lit restaurant. I started with the red sangria, and that was tasty. I was a little disappointed because they had no red wine for my next drink, so stuck with the sangria. For my appetizer, I got the camarones scampi, but it was a garlic shrimp, and it was tasty. My friend had the fiesta platter and I tried it and it was good. We then had the shrimp tacos, which were delicious! For my meal, I got the red snapper, and my friend had the garlic shrimp dish. I really enjoyed the red snapper, and my friend enjoyed the shrimp. We then had the dulce de leche cheesecake, which was good. We really had a good experience!“

“Today was my first time visiting this establishment. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and seated right away. Our server approached us immediately and was very polite and friendly. We were given chips and salsa that were so fresh and tasty. We ordered our appetizers and drinks and our meals. Everything came out staggered and in a timely fashion. The tortilla soup was to die for. The chicken wings with the dry rub were the best wings I have ever eaten. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla and the rice and beans side dish. After checking out the menu, I asked him what his favorites were and he made all the tacos sound so delicious. I was kinda of leaning towards a bowl, but after hearing all the taco goodness I grabbed a Cajun shrimp taco to hold me over till later.Turns out the guy I was chatting with was the owner, Todd. Really great to interact with him, super passionate about this place.Service was fast, taco was $6ish, and it was really tasty. “We went to Alfonso’s following my parents’ wedding for a small dinner. The service was absolutely incredible, all the servers were so attentive and friendly. They went above and beyond to create a fun and memorable experience for us. They cut and served a wedding cake and also played the wedding song for my parents. The combo of salsa verde and sour cream added flavor to the dish. Portion was a bit small... My gf ordered the birria taco and she felt alright with it. The place is small and cozy. However, i had better birria in queens, which biased my taste and judgement on the taste...“
“These are the BEST quesabirria tacos I have EVER had! They taste like home ?? tacos come with cheese and a very delicious consume. It was not too salty nor too watery, but a perfect consistency. The carne was seasoned to perfection, and it was a nice amount. They were not cheap with the portions! You get 3 nice big tacos.This is definitely a Hidden Gem in the East Coast !
