It's not the worst Mexican food around, but it's not amazing by any means. The chicken enchiladas were a bit bland, even with the medium sauce, which was a creamy chipotle sauce that had no detectable chipolte flavor. The chicken inside was bland and a bit dry. The beans and rice served with it were bland as well. Everything seemed to need salt to really get it going, but salt was not available on the table. Generous portion sizes. Chips and salsa were provided on every table as soon as you sat down. The salsa is fresh and flavorful. A large selection of Mexican sodas. The seating is a little tight and it gets loud when the restaurant fills up. Staff was lovely. Food came out fast (within ten minutes).Vegetarian options: Nearly everything can be made with a mixed vegetables option or meat omitted. This place is not vegan because of cheese and dairy, though they could probably swing some vegan options. They may also dip tortillas in a meat-based broth for some dishes.

Juanitos is great, but it isn’t what it used to be. Feels like the food quality has slipped quite a bit. Still a tasty meal, with great guac, tacos, chimichangas, etc.
