“The Sky Restaurant and Lounge is a hidden gem! The views were spectacular - panoramic sunsets, Manhattan in the opposite direction, and even the morning commuters! The service was excellent. While a somewhat slim menu, everything we had - from pasta to hamburger to breakfast offerings, were not only delicious, but beautifully presented. When we visit the area again, we'd definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza, especially for the restaurant!“
“Picked up here a couple times. It’s really easy if you just follow instructions. Keep to the right as you get in make a u-turn in their lot and back up to door behind you. FCFS and they get you loaded right away. Not a high traffic area probably ship 1-3 trucks per day.“
“My family loves this place. No frills and outdated decor and music but it adds to the charm and is cozy. Soups are always delicious. We especially love their German bean soup that they had during Oktoberfest. Chef, please have it more often! Sliced filet mignon with onions and mushrooms is my favorite entree. Finished with a slice of their homemade cheesecake. Place is affordable and we leave feeling happy.“
“The food is delicious! They have a great selection of a variety of dishes. The servers are outstanding. They are professional, friendly, and helpful. Extremely personal!Parking: Many people use the lot across the street in lieu of valet parking.Wheelchair accessibility: This establishment is wheelchair accessible entering the restaurant. The servers provided any assistance needed. The bathrooms also have wheelchair accessibility.“
“If we could give 10 Stars we would. A magical and unforgettable night. Impeccable service from the moment you step into the entrance, it felt like a different world. The food was superb, presentation a dream but what made the night was the service! Professional, cheeky and attentive, Ricardo and Mynor are an attentive dream team. The hero of the night were the desserts by the Pastry Maestro Shaun and his team. We are incredibly grateful to have experienced a night at Restaurant Daniel.Vegetarian options: A dream and so creative!Dietary restrictions: The team is so informed and flexible when it comes to dietary restrictions“
“Definitely had an enjoyable brunch at Jacob’s Pickle. The drinks were delicious, and service was pretty good but I could tell the waitstaff were a bit stretched. I had the hot chicken biscuit, which was so delicious. The sandwich was huge, pickles were extraordinary, and the hot sauce they use is not only hot but also very flavorful. We had to purchase a bottle of hot sauce to go home, that’s how good it was! My husband got the chicken and pancakes, and the chicken was tasty but the pancakes were dry and thick. We will definitely be back and will just stick to the chicken, biscuits and pickles which you can’t go wrong with!“
“A must for caviar lovers….It’s a luxurious experience with top-to-top feel and a menu to boot. We are upstairs for a small and cozy dining experience…but you can also sit at the bar or go to the lounge in the back-all on the first floor.“
“Brought two Italian colleagues who were craving American steaks. We ordered a porterhouse for two, and a New York strip. It was probably the best steak they have ever had, cooked to perfection. We had huge sides of rapini and asparagus. Service by Kevin and Victor was great. One of my guests even managed to get a round of free limoncello from the Manager. Gallagher's has never disappointed me or my guests.“
“The MOMA was our first stop on our recent trip to New York. I wasn't sure how the timing was going to work, so didn't make a reservation for The Modern and I was hoping we would be able to get walk in service. I also wasn't sure if we'd be able to get a full meal or just a snack as our dinner plans were rather early that evening. We decided to try and see what happened.Wow! I'm so happy we tried. We were helped through the locked door to The Modern by a very helpful staff member walking by, I was a bit shy to ask for help (I had already requested directions) and was met with a warm smile and enthusiasm. We were let into the locked door and walked down to the host stand. The hosts seemed really happy we were there :D Which was really nice, as I mentioned we hadn't made a reservation, so I was feeling a bit apprensive. We were shown to a table right away, after expressing we preferred a table to seats at the bar and got to take in the restaurant space. It's beautiful and it is exactly fitting to a modern art museum. It has a sophisticated and approachable atmosphere and it was obvious from the restaurant buzz that it was a true mix of clients - regulars, tourists, newbies - everyone was here. Our server was professional and polished and very helpful. We quickly realized that a full meal was not happening that visit, but we both absolutely needed a snack and some wine before we set out to find the art we were looking for.As we hadn't made reservations, we had the The Bar Room Menu, which suited us perfectly. My husband had the steak tartare, as it's one of his favourites. He was very impressed with the plating, loved the taste and kept talking about how there was something wonderful and minty on his plate.I had the friend chicken, honey and fries from the snack menu and it was beautifully presented in it's own chicken bucket :D and was wonderfully tasty. Too bad for me, I couldn't finish it all, so if you order this when you visit, be sure to share it with someone. We indulged in a glass of wine each with our snack, as it was mid-afternoon, no bottle for us. The wine by the glass menu has a great selection and is varied. We really appreciated it.Even though it was a brief visit, we greatly enjoyed it and hope to return another time for a full meal.“
“A lovely dine-in bar-restaurant in UWS. I have been there during the happy hours (3:30 to 6 PM) and I would recommend the same. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, best for a group or an intimate date. I would highly recommend the Consulate's Old Fashioned which has Mescal. The French 85 is also good.“
“The food here was really good and the bottomless brunch option was a great addition to the meal. Our waitress, Daisy, was such a lovely person and was quick to meet any of our needs. I would definitely come again for the food and atmosphere!“
“I cannot state enough just how delicious the food is here !!! Soooooooooo good !! Everything was full of soo much flavor and the steak had to have been one of the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had perfect temp and seasoning. It’s pretty inside and perfect to go for a date night the ambiance is nice. Definitely recommend this place“
“This is probably the best Ihop, I've been to. Bypass others to go here.Parking: There is enough parking to accommodate every table there. If lot is full, so is IhopKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, however you never know who will be seated near you. There will be customers of all walks of life.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is a ramp, but it is steep to me. Person should have assistance.“
“You definitely want to hit this bar for a quick unwind for the best food and great choices of wine and needless to mention the great hospitality by Carolina. One of the most talented people out there. I’d like to thank you guys and Carolina specially for such a wonderful experience. I’ll be back sooner than you know “
“Ocean's provided an exceptional dining experience. Gabe's attentive service truly elevated the evening. The drinks were of the highest quality, and the ribeye was cooked to perfection, truly amazing. The Brussels sprouts stole the show, surpassing all expectations. In summary, it was an excellent evening all around.“
“We came here and sadly the restaurant was packed inside, we.sat in the outdoor patio area, which was warm and heated.Tbh it wasn't bad it was more intimate we were able to have a conversation. Our server Kimberly, was wonderful, the drinks were good and the food was delicious ?. We will definitely come back here again .We ordered.the Ragu ravioli, the hanger steak was well prepared, and the lamb chops with all the sides where ?Overall a good job .“
“I had an incredible experience at Consulate restaurant in midtown Manhattan. The escargot and bone marrow were amazing, offering a true taste of French cuisine. The restaurant's beautiful design and atmosphere added to the overall experience. Okan, our server, was incredibly hospitable, and KAT, the manager, was fabulous and even helped me book an event. I also have to mention the fantastic Martini made by bartender Kiril. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Highly recommended!“
“Expectations Unmet, Yet Culinary Excellence Prevails Venturing into The Polo Bar was an adventure two months in the making, but what ensued was a rollercoaster of highs and lows that left my friend and me with mixed feelings. Upon arrival for our 10 pm reservation, we found the place buzzing with activity, even on a Tuesday night. The energy was palpable, but unfortunately, finding a spot at the bar proved challenging amidst the crowded space. Despite our excitement, our attempt to capture the moment with photos was met with unwelcome scrutiny from a staff member, dampening our initial enthusiasm. It was disheartening to feel targeted for simply wanting to preserve our memories. However, we persevered and managed to enjoy some delightful treats at the bar, including warm roasted olives that tantalized our taste buds. My Polo Punch drink was satisfying, though my friend's Pinot Grigio was a safe bet. Yet, the discomfort lingered as the same staff member seemed to shadow our every move, creating an uneasy atmosphere. Moving to our table, we eagerly sampled the menu, finding hits and misses among the offerings. The pigs in a blanket were passable, but the corned beef sandwich was a revelation, with melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The Caesar salad struck the right balance of flavors, though the accompanying polo burger failed to impress, especially with lackluster fries. Dessert, however, was a redemption. The brownie with vanilla ice cream was a heavenly finale to our meal, leaving us with satisfied smiles. Our initial server, Nikki, was a gem, embodying warmth and attentiveness. However, a shift in service left much to be desired, with a new waiter failing to match Nikki's standard, even drawing complaints from other patrons. I was left wondering if our late reservation played a role in the staff's evident fatigue, but for a venue renowned for its exclusivity, I anticipated consistent service and attention regardless of the hour. It was also apparent that The Polo Bar caters to a specific clientele, and as the only person of color among the guests, I couldn't help but feel a tad uncomfortable. Despite these observations, the quality of the cuisine alone would warrant a return visit, although perhaps not with great haste. Overall, our experience at The Polo Bar was a mixed bag. While the food had its moments of brilliance and service started strong, inconsistencies and discomfort tarnished the overall impression. While I may return for certain dishes, I can't help but feel that there are other establishments in the city that offer a more consistent and polished dining experience.“
“Joe Allen is my go to place when visiting New York. I had pre-theater dinner with two family members and it was a wonderful experience. We were seated right away and given plenty of time to study the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and plentiful. Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. We took our time, enjoyed our meal and we're encouraged to say as long as we liked. It's nice to visit a restaurant still follows the traditions - delicious food and outstanding customer service in a comfortable environment.“
“The food was sooooo good, and considering the amount you get for you buck it feels like a steal. The speakeasy vibe and their customer service are on whole another level!!! I must have been catered to by 4 different servers who I can tell genuinely love working there and seem to all have a great relationship with eachother. Such an experience!“
“Nice place, on the corner of a building.I took 4 chicken meatballs with polenta, which I found good, but would have been better if they had been a little more generous with the tomato sauce.Good service although perhaps a little slow (except when it came to bringing us the bill...?).Final price for two (a one liter bottle of San Pellegrino water plus two dishes like the ones I described, namely 4 meatballs and polenta as in the photo) 66 dollars, tip included. For honest New York.“
“This is a great spot for a date or special occasion. Dinner is Pre-Fix and the menu changes seasonally. The dining areas are very inviting. The staff was very detail oriented and just enough but not on top of you. Basically the service is impeccable. As for the food everything is timed great and everything we ate was awesome. I thought I might leave hungry initially but that was not the case. Must go to spot for a romantic dinner“
“My wife and I were visiting from Texas and we found this bar from looking for live music near our hotel. We got a table quickly and ordered drinks and nachos. The piano duo were great, the drinks were excellent, and the nachos with chicken was incredible! Our server Nina was very attentive and took great care of us. We might even go back tomorrow night!“
“The food was so amazing! Ate the rigatoni and chocolate tart. Would def recommend. I also tried a bite of the short rib papardelle and Caesar salad and those were also super tasty. Our server Namik was the kindest ever. Some of the best service I have ever had!!!“
“Super friendly staff who were willing to accommodate 4 of us + a baby for a weeknight dinner. Food was amazing and drinks were even better.Kid-friendliness: Baby was allowed to sit in high chair at chefs bar, but I heard the hostess tell another parent that they couldn’t accommodate high chairs at the regular tables (maybe because of walking room reasons?)“
“This restaurant is a gem. My wife and I have been here twice and we're coming this Saturday and bringing friends. The room is very nice and the service is excellent. The menu is balanced and, frankly, something of a bargain. The veal/beef meatball is as good as any I've ever had. The New York strip was perfectly cooked and very tender. I make a pretty good steak at home so rarely order one out. Laboratorio Kitchen is becoming a go-to place for me!“
“Ambiance and service 5/5. We had the absolute sweetest server who told us about being a singer songwriter and his creative experiences during COVID. He was just so nice and friendly and waited on us with such care even though we were only there for apps and drinks. Outside seating was lovely on a spring day! Food 5/5 for what we ordered but I wasn't in love with the menu options (4/5) and prices ($$-$$$). I absolutely loved the zucchini fries which came out piping hot and moist inside and a yuzu aioli dipping sauce which is why I had ordered it. My friend I dined with us a chef and he was impressed. We also got the broccolini, a classic dish, which was delicious. Mocktails 4/5 - we came to drink mocktails as both of us were not drinking. We were surprised to find a robust mocktail list; my friend got the phony Negroni and he sipped on his. I got this peach puree ginger mocktail which was delicious but not a large portion for $14. I would like to try some of the other mocktails if I come again. It's right by Lincoln Center and Columbus Circle, so I could see how it's a great location to meet up before another activity.“
“Tanner Smith, this restaurant, was named after a notorious irish mobster who moved from ireland to nyc in the 1800swhen you step in, you're immediately transported to the prohibition era with a crazy antique decori love that you can order brunch food on a weekday!the chicken was so crispy and scrumptious and the waffle was sooo sweet?the thai deviled eggs are just a delicious taste you have to experience for yourselfand i absolutely loved the cocktails served in tea cups 12/10 would recommend!“
“The Saddle River Inn exceeded my high expectations. We had the east coast oyster special, foie gras, scallop crudo, a truffle agnolotti special, and steaks. Our server, Matt, was really helpful in helping us put together an order. He recommended the preparation I wanted from a different entree on the yummier cut of a wagyu skirt steak. I was dancing in my seat in delight ?“
“Great meal. My daughter and I shared the Brussels sprouts salad and the fig, prosciutto and blue cheese pizza. She had the Montauk Mule and I had Orange Blossom drink. Everything was fabulous. Theo was a great server. We are outside because it was a nice day. Inside was a cool and small but the music would have been a smidge loud for us to have good conversation.“
“We made a reservation for a group of 10. They had the table ready for us when we arrived. We ordered drinks, apps, and entrees. All were excellent! The service was great. No one was kept waiting for drinks when they wanted another round.Been going to Prohibition for years! Always for the music and atmosphere. Had never had a meal until last night. I’ve definitely been missing out!!! Highly recommend!“
“We stopped in for dinner before seeing a show. We were hosting a friend who hardly comes into Manhattan. We chose Carla for its off the beaten path location and laid back ambience. Our waiter (and the whole restaurant!) were so inviting. The great service + food added to the great company.“
“What a fantastic space to meet with friends and loved ones and not be afraid to get a little loud (nothing over-the-top, though - let’s be mindful of those around us! Lol). The staff is highly attentive and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s a wonderful spot to convene after seeing a show (or being in one). I would highly recommend this place as an “is what it is” kind of atmosphere- without any “aires or attitude.”Vegetarian options: I highly recommend the cauliflower meal.“
“No, but seriously, the food is delicious! Breakfast is prepared in a matter of minutes, and there is a wide range of options available, including drinks, bagel flavors, and even syrups for food items. Second visit, with many more. Thank you, guys.“
“Great Rye cocktail, tasted similar to a classic Johnnie Ginger. The pan seared scallops are absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The Mac and Cheese could’ve been better, wasn’t the best I’ve had. Brilliant Steak Frites! Steak was cooked to perfection with immaculate grill marks, very crispy fries, and really delicious sauce.Really great and quick service. Very responsive staff that checked on us often!“
“I’m hesitant to even write a review because I consider this place a true hidden gem! With so many options in the area I find myself forgetting about Turtle & Wolf until after my recent visit it sprang to the top of my list!I went for a birthday celebration and my friends and I shared a bunch of dishes. Everything was so well executed, the portions were generous and we just had such a lovely evening. Cannot pass on this adorable BYOB.“
“We were warmly greeted at the door by the hostess and mgr. We were seated immediately and were offered water with the menus. Our waiter was gracious , explained everything and gave excellent recommendations. We had a marvelous time and would do it again. Please pass along our compliments to the chef for excellent food .“
“We really enjoyed our food and everything was fresh, clean and tasty. The Waiter, Freddy, was very attentive and quick. He gave us excellent suggestions and he made a very delicious Chai latte both hot ? and iced. The atmosphere is clean and beautiful and peaceful. We'll be back!“
“Best pancakes and French toast tasted in New York.It is strongly suggested for a breakfast or brunch, you can find it located in several places around New York.Follow us for other suggestions on InstagramHungry_travelersArmando & Caterina“
“we were celebrating my friend's birthday and our server Nahid N was amazing!!! he went above and beyond to make sure everything was good from the drinks to to the food to our cake and birthday song. he made my friends very nice and very special and that's all I can ask for. it was a 10/10 experience and the food was amazing and the atmosphere too. Nahid N you are a star :)“
“Everything about our dinner was wonderful! Our server was fantastic, polite & friendly. The overall service & attention was wonderful & the pork chop special was outstanding! We highly recommend Savini's...and the pork chop ?“
“I can't say enough how happy I am to discover this place. I just recently moved to the neighborhood, and wow ! Such a gem. Don't walk run to this restaurant. Food is delicious, with great wine selection, and owners are super nice and welcoming and hard-working, too.“
“The smell in this place was omg watering my mouth, they have a long long wait on Friday that's the day I came in. .. so order ahead in their web.. most the orders are like that so at least 30 to 40 wait for the order if you go there..Good flavor food ?“
“Love coming here for happy hour, but the crowd can definitely be a mixed bag. It's a popular after work spot and can get packed quickly at the bar area. Slightly overpriced but makes sense because of its location. The staff is super friendly and attentive.“
“Came for "girl dinner" and was so happy with this choice. Staff were very friendly, drinks were served promptly for a Friday night and the food was delicious and portion size was more than enough, especially for tapas. Will be back next time I'm in Midtown!“
“4.5 stars My brother and I were trying to find a nice spot to meet for dinner, and after sending him a long list of places, he selected St. Eve's. We were both really intrigued by their interesting, seasonal menu and were excited to give the restaurant a shot. The space might not look like much from the outside, where it is located on the end of a small strip mall, but the inside was very charming! There was a "bar" with a view of the kitchen, but the place is BYOB (with a liquor store literally next to it), so it was more of a counter. There were also two main dining areas with white tableclothed tables. Very quickly after we were seated at one of these quaint tables, the server stopped by to greet us and pour some water. We also received a small wooden board that was topped with slices of, not only soft white bread, but fresh banana bread as well! I had never received banana bread in a dinner bread service, but I was thrilled! We decided to start out by sharing 2 appetizers. The Filet Mignon Ravioli were apparently one of their most popular menu items, and we could clearly see why. The delicate noodles were encasing huge helpings of steak, and its toppings of red-wine braised short ribs and porcini mushroom broth were umami heaven. The Brussels Sprout Salad included apples, golden raisins, and a heavy sprinkling of funky pecorino cheese. It was another winner. For our entrees, we both opted for the Alaskan Halibut, which was topped with an aromatic truffle butter. It was served with roasted vegetables and lemon potatoes. The fish itself was perfectly-cooked, but the truffle flavor made the dish that much better. Lastly, we shared the Apple and Pear Crumble with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The fruity filling was fresh and not overly sugary or syrupy. The crumb topping was plentiful, which is how I like it! The vanilla ice cream was flavorful as well. Before we could leave, the manager (owner?), who was a very sweet woman, stopped by to hear about our experience, which we heavily praised. St. Eve's is truly a hidden gem worth visiting!“
“Excellent diner good after seeing Hadestown. Service was excellent. Portions are large. Food taste and selection better than expected. We drive 3+ hours one way to see a Broadway show from Vermont so a good, hearty, tasty meal before heading home was greatly appreciated.“
“Last night on my solo trip in NY and I wanted a really good quality steak with both atmosphere and great service. After scouring multiple options, Quality Meats kept being mentioned on various sites.I booked a table online and upon arrival was asked to wait in the bar area. I ordered a lovely take on a Moscow Mule and waited for my table.Having reserved my table, I was a little disappointed to be made to wait an additional 25 minutes before being seated.I had the NY Strip with Corn Crème Brulé, and the crispy potatoes. The steak was exceptional and as a Brit it's not a cut we'd usually get (Sirloin being close). The restaurant itself was spectacular and the atmosphere was as you'd want from a steak restaurant. Even as a solo guest, it felt warm and comforting. The only let down was the lack of organisation and, I assume, over subscribing of guests meaning those who make reservations are left to wait as much as those who simply walk-in“
“This is an awesome restaurant. The ambiance is very nice and the food is scrumptious! Service is excellent too. Sometimes they have live flamenco which is truly entertaining!Parking on the street is difficult but there is a parking lot about a half block away with ample parking.Parking: Parking is free in the lot after 7 pm, I think.“
“Great food like always just service was off this night for some reason. Still go-to diner in my opinion!Parking: easy to find parking even on those busy mornings like Saturday’s or Sunday’s or even on holidays, just depends what time you arrive just like any other place.“
