I'd highly recommend Asanka. I got the jollof rice with chicken and it was so delicious. The fried plantain are also fresh and yummy. This is the best African food I've had in NJ. The owner Michael is very kind and friendly. His food will make your day!
The only food I have had here is puff puff so my review is concerning the service and atmosphere. The staff I met on Wednesday night was great! The location is within the Desi Food Galaxy. I wish there was more signage outside besides the label at the top to show that Asanka is within the Galaxy. There are several other multi-cultural food places within the galaxy. Glad that Asanka is here so they get exposure from people that are just checking the location out.

I recently had a chance to taste and enjoy food from this restaurant, and WOW!!, was I blown away. The light soup was delicious and flavorful, and the meat was tender. The banku was fresh and soft, and the jollof rice and stew with chicken, and fried plantain was excellent. Michael, the owner is AMAZING!!! He is very kind and caring.
