“We had three entrées:Scallops (5 stars),Short ribs, (5),Filet Mignon (only 4 stars) because it needed seasoning. It needed a more v salted crust. The side dish of rot kohl, red cabbage, was also tasty, but could have been so much better had they seasoned more.Next time I go, and we will go again, I'll try the scallops.Starters we had the rolls, expensive, but good.Creamy Burrata was outstanding.Desserts were a good a they get.We had the sunday, premium ice cream with stuff, excellent. The chocolate cream pie was great. Chocolate filling was perfect, dark chocolate, not too sweet. Cream perfect too, not too sweet. Crust was a bit too stuff, not flaky like it could have been better. But again, chocolate and cream were perfect, so I'd certainly get it again.Service was great. Ambiance was perfect.Great place for special date or family or even flying solo at the bar.“
“Good was great! I had the sweet potato nachos. Different than anything I have had before but I'll be coming here again on my next travel through Newark. Thank you to Elma who provided the best service! She made sure I had quick service and enjoyed my meal!“
“We stopped Summit NJ to pick up a Ski jacket I purchased on FB on the way to Vermont. By chance I walked into Zappia's and ordered a Ruben for the road. I got in my car and started driving and my 16yo (who does not like any food I like) asked what was in the bag. I told her it was a Ruben. She promptly devoured 1/2 of it and informed that it was "the best sandwich ever". I ate the other half and it was by far the best Ruben I have had in eons! It was so good we opted to go over an hour and 1/2 out of our way on the way home 3 days later to get two more. It's was worth the trip. If you live in Summit you're lucky to have a Deli like this one near you. The people were very friendly and the food was fantastic. Thank you Zappia's!“
“Amazing from start to finish. From the warm welcome, amazing bartenders and courteous, attentive service the hospitality was impeccable. The owner is visible on site and engaged in creating a fabulous evening for his guests. We felt special spending our anniversary at summit house. The new menu is focused, creative and sublimely delicious. Truly unique and left us planning our next visit before we left the table.“
“I ordered off of DoorDash. And I was upset that I didn’t get my condiments. So I went to the restaurant and found out it was an error of DoorDash and not of peppercorn. They accommodated me and were so nice. I walked in the door and was immediately greeted. That’s exceptional service to me!! Thanks for the food and service“
“I love eating at The Committed Pig when I come out towards Summit. The food is delicious and well cooked, and the waitresses are attentive, and kind. Kelee, especially, is an amazing server. If you are out this way, this place is a must-try!“
“A nice casual place with decent food. Nothing special but we wanted to try a new restaurant. I wouldn't rush back but we had a nice relaxing dinner. Chicken Parm was good, the meatball appetizer was okay. It's a limited menu but they also have a specials menu. Their pizza looked good and steak frites were a hit. It's more expensive than it should be but not unreasonable. The atmosphere is good and overall their service was good.“
“I've always loved Fin but I have to say this time the food was not great. I had the Shanghai jumbo shrimp and the shrimp were not jumbo at all. They used tinge much larger. I received a skimpy amount of greens and the plate was basically half full of potato sticks and doused in sauce. It was not at all like this in the past. The shrimp used to be huge and they gave way more spinach. In addition the soy sauce in the tuna tartare was extremely salty.“
“Food came relatively quickly and we got the calamari for appetizers, best calamari I have had in a while. My daughter got a cheeseburger and so did my husband. My daughter asked for lettuce and bacon, but when she got it there were tomatoes on it, my husband also had tomatoes on his, and he is allergic to them. A little disappointed with that. French fries were good though.“
“No frills, throwback diner. Both in the ambience and the prices, which seem frozen in the early 2000s. Cash only, often with a line this is a local institution that's worth visiting if you enjoy crab benedict. Our little ones also like the French toast.“
