“Genuine spicy Southern Thai food - they don't tone it down for westerners. Some dishes have an American/fusion twist like steak krapao but they were still really good. The sator (stink bean) with prawn was good and authentic! Service was friendly and although most of the reviews are 5* because they offer you a discount for leaving one, mine is genuine and I'm writing it after my visit...“
“The host was super gracious, efficient and made an effort to accommodate folks as they flowed through the intimate space. I opted for takeout and asked for recommendations. I went with his suggestion of the crab omelette...wow! What a complex but simple dish with balanced sauces to complement. Keep up the amazing service and cuisine. Looking forward to coming back to dine in!“
“One of the best pad Thai dishes I have ever had. Very good taste. Fairly good prices too especially considering it's nyc. The staff was also super friendly. Pretty short walk from Grand Central. Will definitely come back whenever I am in the city.“
“One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to in Manhattan! The spicy lemongrass ramen is one of my favorites but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Such a fun vibe and amazing decor. One of my regular spots to visit when dining out you won’t be disappointed.“
“Stopped in here for lunch - service was super quick and staff was extremely attentive. I ordered the crispy pork belly and Khao Soi. They start you off with complimentary wings which were amazing. The crispy pork with all the fixing was delicious - the mint was a nice touch that enhanced the flavor overall. But the soup - one word - MAGICAL!!! I got the mild version which was probably one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!! Absolutely recommend this place! So so so GOOD!!!!! A must try.“
“We did take out today but have visited Up Thai on several occasions. The food here is on point. We especially enjoy curry puffs, pra ram, the new salmon dish, Thai basil, and a few others. The food is tasty and well presented. We take home a distance and the food holds up perfectly. Everyone treats us well here.Vegetarian options: Tofu, noodle and many vegetable varieties too“
“Great spot for Thai in midtown. Their menu is broken out by the different regions of Thailand so it was fun to try something from here and there. Entrees all came with rice which was great. Everything came out super fast and service was very attentive and really knows their stuff. Looking forward to coming back to try more dishes! Also interior of the restaurant is very nice and it’s two floors so it’s also spacious. Recommend making a reservation.“
“While visiting family in the area, we were treated to a delightful dinner experience here. The restaurant's interior immediately captivated us with its charming aesthetic and cozy ambiance, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. We kicked off our meal with a selection of refreshing drinks, including the Cha Yen Sai Nom (iced Thai milk tea), Singha (a pale Thai lager), and a pot of hot Bluefly tea (a caffeine-free blend of butterfly pea flowers and lemongrass). For appetizers, we ordered Kang Kao Peuak (taro samosas) and curry puffs, both of which left us craving for more. The highlight of the evening was discovering that they offered Khao Soi, a beloved dish from our time in Thailand. My mother ordered her's with chicken and extra veggies. While I enjoyed the savory-sweet perfection of Pad Kaphrao, adorned with fragrant holy basil. From start to finish, the experience was impeccable, with each dish bursting with authentic Thai flavors and the overall atmosphere adding to the charm of the evening. This restaurant truly exceeded our expectations and left us eagerly anticipating our next visit.“
“This is my second time here and has now become one of my favorite food spots. The food is amazing, and presented well. The staff is friendly and the seating is ok. Last time I felt a bit rushed but this time it was a pleasant pace. I had red curry with shrimp. It had a great flavor and came with a lot of shrimp. The Crab Rangoon was perfect. Their drinks were just ok just a bit watery. I had a mango margarita. The atmosphere didn’t get 5 stars because the music is really loud inside.“
“Let me tell you about the best pad Thai I ever had. The pad Thai was next-level delicious! The addition of a perfectly poached egg took it to a whole new level of yum. And the staff? They were absolutely amazing! Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're a pad Thai lover, you gotta try it here!!???“
“What an incredible find! I love Thai food and this is hands-down the best Thai restaurant in NYC. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating and took great care to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Even the chef came out to greet us and make sure he got the spicy levels right for each of our dishes. I had the Pad See Ew with vegetarian duck, which was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend!!!!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian duck (in the pad see ew) is the best I have ever had!!“
“Food was very good. That's most important snd only diminished by extreme noise which is not the case in this small restaurant. Only drawback for us would be that some of the tables have metal backless stools which would have been a dealbreaker but luckily our cozy little table for two had chairs with backs. One charming item: they have hangers for coats and your purse!“
“I’ve tasted Thai food all over the city and the food here is on another level. After discovering this place, we’ve been back once a week for the past 2 months. It’s like a second home now. Tang is one of the servers and is amazing. This restaurant bring pure “
“Came in for lunch with the missus, as we are always craving Thai food whenever we are out. Read great reviews about this spot and they were right! We started with mocktails Pai Lin and Herbal Jelly Thai Ice Tea, both recommended. For apps we had the Gai Satay and the Corn Fritters. Delicious! For the mains we had the Crab Fried Rice and the Pad Woon Sen. Amazing char, flavorful, and great presentation! Overall, very pleased with the meal and would definitely come back again! Highly recommended!!“
“This was some of the best Thai I’ve ever had! To be so close to Time Square there is some hesitation about coming here, but don’t be afraid! The atmosphere is truly magical, and you will feel sealed away from the bustling city. The northern Thai curries were phenomenal! Our waitress was this lovely little lady who was so attentive of all our needs. Please go support this wonderful business.“
“Great restaurant for lunch & dinner! I recently was in the area and decided to pop in for lunch. This restaurant is small but absolutely beautiful inside, very aesthetically pleasing. When I sat down, I was greeted right away and provided with the menus. Chu Ros offers many different food options and cocktails & they have an amazing happy hour. I highly recommend the panang curry and pineapple fried rice, absolutely delicious!“
“Come in for a delicious Thai meal! The large windows and light color walls give you a sense of relaxation and comfort. The food is superb! The calamari were crunchy and not extremely chewy, pairing well with the sauce. The braised beef was soft and tender, easily melting in the mouth. The salad and soup are flavorful, with just the right amount of herbs and spices. The dishes can be shared amongst others, which I recommend doing so you can try a bit of everything!“
“I recently had my anniversary with my partner at Lum Lum, and we had a fantastic time with the food being extraordinary. Dream was our waiter and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic dinning experience, we will definitely be dining here again!! Highly recommend, thanks so much Dream - you’re the best!“
“A cute little Thai Find which has amazing food . I think there is something in the NYC air! They have very limited seating but offer a huge menu !We tried their dumpling soup which was really tasty and the dumplings were so soft and good !Also had the Thai Basil Minced Chicken with rice , Warning ! It’s spicy but if you can handle the heat it’s delicious ?!And we ordered a Drunken Noodle which again was delicious, the portions are a little less if you come from outside NYC but the food is 10 times better .Recommended for great food !“
“My dining experience at Zabb PuTawn was truly phenomenal. The food was delicious, each dish served was very fresh, flavorful, and had an excellent presentation. The staff were great, they were welcoming, friendly, and super helpful. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, it felt very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!!!“
“This neighborhood restaurant is unbeatable. Their menu is very simple - you choose one out of 3 types of chicken. Each type is amazing. They also come with rice and soup. All of them taste so good. I can tell they are very home made style which is hard to find elsewhere. I have been here for many times. Never ever feel disappointed.“
“I'm late to the party but I'm glad I've arrived. Delicious, special, creative and beautifully made food in a gorgeous space with great energy and people who gladly serve what they proudly make. Not your typical Thai, and thank goodness for that. Pad Thai is the best I've ever had. The shrimp entree is also amazing. The fried rice with crab is incredible. And even if you don't think you have room, the pandan dessert is incredible and will be on your mind for weeks after. If you're like me tho, you'll go back the following week and have it again.“
“Went for restaurant week but ended up ordering off the regular menu. Great place four or five to try higher end Indonesian dishes. Rendang beef, the classic dish, is very good here with a nice big serving. Pineapple curry fish was a new one, and tasty. The Laksa noodles include lovely soft fishballs, and the noodles with kecap manis are truly Indonesian, down to the rice crackers. Excellent service. They have honey ginger tea not on the menu but perfect for a cold and rainy January day“
“Really superb customer service, they even plated my leftovers for me! Food was average, not bad, but nothing I would write home for. A little pricey considering the food was closer to bland & unseasoned. I had basil thai rice, thai iced tea, & that lil appetizer. Great kind service overall <3“
“Bangklyn is without a doubt one of the tastiest and most unique restaurants in the city. The food is amazing and fresh, especially the fried chicken. The owner/cook/busboy is awesome and even though he won't say much, he is kind when he does talk and he works really hard to serve the customer. As for the decor, is it a thrift shop? Is it just decoration? It's difficult to tell, but either way it's cool. Highly recommend.“
“Surprising really good and fresh food. I walk by this place daily for over a year and never tried it since it was empty. Guess what, the food is delicious! I order takeout and was impressed. The food, presentation and service was spot on. It was so tasty, then I ordered again with a friend. They loved it, then I went to finally dine in and it was even better! The waitresses was super sweet, low key ambiance and a hidden gem. Now I order and dine in at least 1 or 2 times a month.“
“Love this place! Thai street food at its finest! Had lunch here and everything we had was delicious! Standout was the Yum Woon Sen!Moo ping another favorite! My one complaint is that the roast pork (as part of the Ba Mee Moo Dang Hang) seemed a little tough.Recommended.“
“For $14, got vegetable soup, egg noodles in a satay like sauce, fish balls, braised Hainan chicken, vegetable salad, and Thai iced tea. You get extreme value and phenomenal food! Ordered online for pickup and food ready in less than 10 minutes. Staff is super friendly. Huge portions. Had to save half for later. They have a few tables, but do mostly takeout and delivery. Can't wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: Most items dairy free“
“Ambiance (5/5): I loved the cute design with teapots and flowers. There's both indoor and enclosed outdoor dining. Brightly lit and open space. The tables felt spaced apart that we weren't eating on top of each other. During lunch hours on a weekend, there were only 4 tables of guests so there wasn't much noise.Service (5/5): There was more than enough wait staff to dining guest ratio that we were served by multiple individuals at lightening pace! They were very friendly and welcoming.Massamam Curry + Roti (5/5): There was so much flavor to the curry and a creaminess that complimented wonderfully with the fresh roti! I could definitely been happy to have had this dish as my main.Khao Soi (4/5) - this classic northern Thailand dish of Chiang Mai resembled the same taste profile as that of my visit. The broth was rich, blasts of flavorful, and creamy. My only qualm was the unwieldly size of the two chicken drumsticks that made it a little difficult to hold and eat. However, the drums were not completely flavored through due to the thickness. The price point to portion was immensely worth the price.Pad Kee Mao (5/5): There's a lovely kick to the dish but also dynamic flavor to it. You can definitely taste the wide range of herbs and seasonings used.I definitely plan on ordering from here again!!“
“This has made it to my top NYC Thai list. The food was amazing and service was great. They couldn’t have been nicer. Also, if you are looking for a whole in the wall spot this is definitely one. There may be seats for 15 people in the restaurant. The fun part is, you have to ring the door bell to get in. That might be for security purposes though. Solid 9/10. This will be a go to spot for me. Oh, and last, super inexpensive.“
“Found my new favorite Thai restaurant. This is hands down the best Thai food ever! We ordered the Tofu Pad Thai, Tom Kha Soup, Chicken Satay, Snapper, Crabmeat Fried Rice and Thai Iced Tea. So delicious! Not only was the food amazing but the service was also amazing. Our server Jack was very attentive. We definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be returning soon to try other dishes!“
“Very satisfied with the taste and portion size of Thai takeout from Thonglor, which may have gotten a new owner or chef since the old Red Basil? Green curry is tasty and includes nice large chunks of eggplant and bamboo shoots. Noodle dishes like pad kee mao and pad see ew have generous portion of noodles. We normally order from Pochana but have a new favorite in Thonglor, which costs slightly more but you definitely get a larger portion and good quality in return.“
“This place is my new favorite restaurant. My favorite dish is the masa man curry but other dishes like the boat noodles, lan of seafood, and the sweet pepper sauté are amazing. The scenery is amazing and beautiful. The people there are very nice and always get things right.“
“Such a great place. The food was amazing, the restaurant is nice and cozy, and the staff are great. The Massaman Short Ribs are a must try, and the Blue Rain is so refreshing.Special shout out to our server Darrow! He made the night very enjoyable for us.“
“You have to try it at least once! Very authentic tasting Thai food. I live in Thailand and eating at Lenoxthai is the same thing as eating Thai food in Thailand. I don’t like spring rolls in the US because most restaurants in the US don’t get the spring rolls right, but Lenoxthai’s spring rolls are the best spring rolls I’ve had in my life.“
“2nd time coming to this place. Leaving with satisfied tummy. They really deliver on the spice and their food always comes out tasty and hot.The location is small and nothing flashy, but love a yummy, quiet and affordable dinner. My go to Thai place in the neighborhood.“
“Ordered delivery from here. Food arrived still warm, Thai iced tea cold refreshing but not too sweet. I had the Pad Kee Mao with chicken lunch special, which comes with spring rolls as appetizer. The noodles were cooked perfectly, chewy with just enough bite, saucy and spicy. Chicken was tender and there were plenty of veggies in addition to egg. The spring rolls were good, crunchy and come with dipping sauce. I also tried the crab Rangoon, a bit high on the crab: cheese ratio but still tasty. Will definitely be ordering lunch from here again!“
“I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The dish I ordered was not only delicious, but it also looked exactly like the photo they showed me. The impeccable presentation and exquisite flavor made my visit unforgettable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious and visually stunning meal. I will return without a doubt!“
“My order was:Steam Dumplings, Pad Thai, Seafood Pineapple Feast, Crab Rangoon, Thai Ice Tea.Delicious food, I would repeat it several times and I want to try other dishes.Crab Rangoon was my favorite starter ❤️. Next time I want to go to the restaurant for a better experience.“
“SUCH A NICE STAFF SERVING DIVINE FRESH FOODBOTH THE YOUNG BOY AND GIRL GREETED ME SO NICELY, MADE ME TASTE THE SOUPS BEFORE DECIDINGVERY SIMPLE SEATING ARRANGMENT, BUT NICE CLEAN PLACE AND ONE OF THE BEST THAI CURRIES IN NEW YORKALSO VERY AFFORDABLE“
“We found this amazing spot by mistake and so happy we did.. the food is always delicious and fresh and the owner is the nicest person, she’s always welcoming and accommodating. As a vegan the owner always ensures that my meals are just that.. vegan! After only the second visit she recognized us and made us feel like friends. I would recommend Chok Dee Thai to anyone looking for a casual yet delicious dining experience.“
“Solid Thai food, good service, moderate prices in a tight space We had a reservation on a Friday night and the place was pretty packed the entire time. We enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls, a curry dish (very rich) with tofu which was the least spicy of them), fried egg with pork (slightly overdone) and the mango sticky rice. We wondered why the dessert took so long to come but when it came out we understood why. Great presentation. They seem to have some good lunch specials that are more affordable. There were quite a few Thai customers ordering interesting things so that's probably a good sign. They also have another room inside maybe for bigger parties. If you sit in the main room it's a tight fit and you're very close to neighboring tables, good for people watching, bad for privacy.“
“Our favorite Thai place. The owner is lovely - so warm and fun to talk to. The pad thai is pretty much THE pad thai I compare every other pad thai to. Hits the spot every time. I think it's fantastic with tofu. The satay and mango salad are both delicious as well.“
“Overall a place to relax and enjoy yourself eating in a nice quiet atmosphere, with fresh food, and delicious, service ??? I truly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back. And sorry I didn't share a picture, but I was so concentrated on eating and having a wonderful time with my husband that I didn't even think about that.“
“Oh, let me tell you about this gem I stumbled upon recently, Koo Thai. It was an evening craving that led me there, am I glad it did! Their menu is something out of a foodie’s dream, but what really stole the show for me was the Soft Shell Crab with Garlic Sauce. You've got to eat it as soon as it's served, or you'll miss out on the magic of its crispiness. The garlic sauce? Just the cherry on top, making every bite memorable. Trust me, it's a dish that you'll want to go back for.And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I gave their Iced Thai Bubble Milk Tea a shot. A total game-changer! The blend was spot-on, and those bubbles? Fun in every sip, making it the perfect sidekick to the meal.Seriously, if you're into exploring new food experiences, this place is a must. Do yourself a favor and don't miss out on these culinary treasures.“
“Great take out Thai place in Harlem. I have ordered multiple times from Charm Thai and they have been consistently good. Love the curries, various noodle dishes, and appetizers. The food is hot and fresh, generous veg and meat in curries and noodle dishes, and very authentic flavors. I appreciate their reasonable prices. When I pick up, their staff is gracious and friendly, which makes the experience even better!“
“We finally made it here after trying for the last couple of years (timing just never worked out). The meals are very good and staff I excellent. It was a nice lunch and a chance to get my Thai food fix. I got the chicken with Massaman curry and the cucumber salad with the sweet potatoes. My husband got the coriander steak and green curry with the mashed potatoes and sweet potato. Both were great. I wish I had done the red curry but I was not in the mood for spicy but the sample was good. The massaman curry was on the sweet side but not bad.Def a different lunch in a city full of good food.“
“The food here was really delicious and reasonably priced. REALLY DELICIOUS FOOD! The portion size was perfect for us, but if you're a light eater, you might have leftovers. The decor and atmosphere inside were also quite nice, as was the natural lighting from being on the corner with plenty of windows. The host/server was very accommodating as well. My one gripe is that some of the tables are too close to the bar, which prevents you from leaning back in your chair.“
“I ordered take out during a recent visit to NYC. I eat vegan (mostly), so I asked them to veganize their pad see ew, and also got an order of their summer rolls. Both were AMAZING. I had been having some pretty mediocre food at a lot of purely vegan restaurants, and I'm so glad I branched out for this meal. I just wish they could make their curries vegan, as I'm sure they would be delicious, too.“
“I ordered for the first time and I was very impressed! Excellent Customer Service, Reasonable Prices, Generous Portion size, Quality Ingredients, Clean, and Friendly!!! I will definitely recommend to others and be a repeat customer! I am very picky when it comes to restaurants/quality food and this place is top notch!!! Thank you ??“
