“When it comes to Mexican cuisine, this is the spot where you should spend your money. Small location but suitable for a party of 4. I mean, you just have to make a stop and try for yourself. The price is also great for the food you're getting. Try it out.“
“It's a nice and authentic restaurant, the food was very delicious, it was a shame that they didn't have soap in restroom, and all the taco sauces were spicy , we wish there was at least one non-spicy sauce, the prices were very good, I recommend “
“This is sort of an opinion piece, but the general manager here is one of the sweetest, most compassionate people I've seen in a long time. She makes the place super welcoming and warm, and the effect of this is palpable in the good attitude of the staff and the experience. Just felt it needs to be acknowledged.“
“Pretty much almost everyone knows what to expect from Chipotle right about now. A plethora of delicious options, with your own customizable bowl or burrito. I like my food spicy, if you do too, I suggest both the green and red spicy salsas. One adds flavor while the other adds heat. The queso blanco is also one of my favorites to dip their chips into, not spicy though. When they had the Garlic steak, I literally ate here 2-3 times a week, it was so flavorful but the other meat choices they have are tasty as well. Now, if you are looking for a drink that is sweet, yummy and refreshing, I suggest you get the Watermelon Lemonade. By far my favorite lemonade from a restaurant.“
“This was my first time eating here! I’ve always passed by it while driving but never made it in. Firstly, the ambiance felt like you were home. I came here early afternoon so the wait times were literally 0. Our waitress, Alejandra was amazing! Super friendly environment. The food was also amazing. Better than i expected it would be. Definitely coming back.“
“I love going here. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is patient and helpful with my order. They help with suggestions for sauces. I always leave satisfied ..I love their burritos and their guacamole is my favorite around.“
“Overall satisfied with the service that I had received. There’s an unlimited amount of food options on the menu & I must say I love them all. If you are in the area & in the mood for traditional Mexican cuisines then this is the right place for you! Enjoy!“
“First time visit, I have to say this is now my favorite place to eat in rahway. Variety of tacos stuffed generously.Tasty. Salsa also very good served with chips. The cubano sandwich with steak, ham, chorizo, chicken, beans LTO on a roll was fantastic and filling served with skinny seasoned fries. Fajitas mixta was seasoned well and very tasty. Not a hint of pretension surrounds this place. A place to eat good food at a very fair price“
“Run don't walk to La Hacienda Restaurant. It's a small place, but big on flavor and excellent service.Complimentary fresh made chips with 4 different salsas were brought out as we were greeted by our sever. We started with Guacamole con Tostones, the guacamole was creamy and delicious Tostones crispy and still soft in the center. Presentation was awesome, see photos. We also shared a flaky beef empanada that was simple but so good. For dinner I had Beef Birria Tacos and my wife ordered a Beef Birria Bowl with rice and beans. Both of these were to die for. Excellent flavor and generous portions.I wanted to try the tres leches that looked so moist in the counter window but I didn't save any room. We're already planning our next trip back to try the other delicious choices on their menu, and I'm going to try and save room for dessert.“
“The chips and salsa, a simple yet essential part of the meal, were a crunchy prelude to the main courses. The salsa, fresh and tangy, set the stage for the flavors to follow. My choice of beer, with its crisp and refreshing taste, was the perfect accompaniment to the meal, cutting through the richness with its lightness. My wife's experience was equally enchanting, with margaritas that were a balance of sweet and sour, embodying the lively spirit of the cuisine. These drinks, coupled with the food, created a symphony of flavors that danced harmoniously on our palates. This dining experience was not just about food; it was a cultural journey. The fusion of Southern and Spanish cuisines at Jose Tejas reflects the beautiful tapestry of human experience and the unity found in diversity. As someone who appreciates the interconnectedness of history, art, and culture, this meal was a testament to the culinary art form and its ability to bring worlds together. In summary, Jose Tejas is a must-visit for those who cherish the art of food and the stories it tells.“
