I’ve been going here for years and years. It’s my favorite tap room in the entire city. I just found out that the owner decided to close it down! TERRIBLE decision. Awful. I’ve been to the taproom on Jefferson…. It’s not even comparable. It’s plain and lacks any character. Why would ownership do this? So many regulars who visit this place, amazing staff, excellent beer, good music. And you shut it down? Unfortunately, this may be the end of my visits to boxing bear. How sad.

My boyfriend and I love going on a motorcycle ride and going out to grab a drink and a bite to eat. This is the Boxing Bear brewery and they don't serve food but there is always a food truck there everytime we been there. This place always has all sports on all there many tv's. Also, they have pool and Foosball available. They also have wonderful outdoor seating with beautiful views especially if you make it for the sunset. I have even seen the cutest little girl princess party on their outdoor area. So I guess kid friendly place as well. The crowd has always been chill and the service always on point. I had fish tacos and my boyfriend had spicy macaroni and cheese. He order a red glove beer and I had a upper cut.

I got kicked out before I even ordered anything. I was completely sober but I guess it was mistaken identity. I can sympathize with keeping the wrong type out but they should have better security because I had never been there before.

Make sure to order something before using the restroom. They are super itchy to power trip and make you feel unwelcome, especially if you don't drink alcohol. No sobriety allowed in this place.

We've only been here twice and we love it. Beer is good, Staff are always very friendly and I always leave with a lot of to go beer and merch! It's a relaxing environment and we love going here when we pass through Albuquerque.
Very much a "family" environment. Is family friendly. Bring all your kids and your dogs, smoke some weed, and then come to this place and let them free roam while you space out (online naturally), and no one will say a dang thing. New Mexico True.

Beer!!! What more can I say?!?! The outside patio area is perfect for our family and our four legged child. The beer is always nice & cold, full of flavor. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and helpful if you can't decide what to sip on. It's a great little hidden place on the Westside!
