Service can be a little slow.They do serve alcohol. I am not a fan of the fish taco's as it is breaded fish they use. The heat of the red and green Chile is pretty consistent. Good sopapillas and chips and salsa. Most of their dishes are above average in traditional New Mexican fare. They understand the nuance' s of Mexican versus New Mexican. Hatch Chili not poblanos are used for their rellenos.
Ordered 2 dozen sopas to go. Everything was perfect, friendly staff inside, good containers and of course delicious sopas.

The old Hostess walk around mad. The beef enchiladas had potatoes in it. Why? I was born and raised in Albuquerque. After the meal we were bloated even though we took most of our food home. Must've been the fillers in the meat.No Veteran's discount like the other owner had. The waitress was nice but almost shorted me a enchilada for 14.99 a plate. Papa Felipe's was better with previous owner. They greeted customers with a ? smile.

Always great service and quality of food, chili does run spicy/hot… it may be wise to order it on the side if you are senisitive …I will add that my friend and I had an exceptional server experience , Marissa is very cheerful /professional and service was very A+.. it is awesome to have a crazy hard day at work and have someone that offers great service … I forgot about the stress and was able to enjoy a great meal experience. , in the future I will ask for her by name …Kid-friendliness: I always see children , they are great with kidsWheelchair accessibility: They will move chairs and make adequate space for wheelchair or any other needs

It was our first time trying the place, food was not bad but it wasn’t the best I’ve had. I had the fajitas and I thought the bell peppers could’ve been a little more cooked. The flour tortillas seemed to be home made and I liked that a lot. Onto the service: they were nice but I did have some issues with the staff that I didn’t address to them directly, when they were bringing our food they hovered the tray with all the plates over my new borns car seat, nothing was dropped on her but the thought of a simple mistake made me very uncomfortable especially when they were handling a very hot skillet. Next, when the waitress was handing my other child his plate she just put it down very dismissively almost as if he were a dog. Lastly, when they picking up the plates at the end they were stacking them AGAIN over my infants car seat. Almost seemed as if they were indifferent and didn’t care about the safety of my child. Service was kind of slower granted they were short staffed and they had a big party, but they let us know when our food was coming out. The carelessness and lack of common sense towards my infant made us feel very uncomfortable and very likely that this will be the first and last time we eat here.
Recently I decided to venture out and try Papa Felipe’s. I must say I was pleasantly impressed with the quality of the food. My only complaint is the chips that come with the salsa are extremely hard almost worse than stale chips. I thought it might have been just a bad batch or day but I’ve returned several times despite the hard chips for the food. And each time the chips are too hard for my liking. The service was pretty good even considering how busy they can get. All in all great experience. Just beware of the extra hard chips. Otherwise I’d give this place 5 stars.
