The kitchen is under construction which there are many signs that indicate this. No where does it say that food is being made in another kitchen and to allow an additional 30 minutes for your order. We did this and then our order was given to another customer on accident and so we waited an hour for food, and we actually never got the entire order. No apologies, just excuses. This place would be great with better management and staff.

Last time I was here the kitchen was closed for renovations. Usually their food is great and I can eat it but this time they only had sandwiches pre-made in a cooler. What really impressed me is after I purchased I saw that everything had a warning that it was processed on machinery that processes shellfish. I'm deathly allergic. The staff were so kind and got me a refund for the food even though I was the one not paying attention. That kind of service deserves a kudos. If you like sweet drinks and coconut I recommend the shark attack. It's the one thing I could get yesterday and my favorite thing to get.

The wait was a bit long for what my family and I ordered but really was delicious. We ordered fish + chips and taquitos, andI found myself surprised at how good everything tasted.Fresh food prepared by ta talented chef is worth the wait !

Second time I have been to this place, employees working counter do not acknowledge your presence until you complain and then act like you are an inconvenience. Paid too much for a half cup of cold coffee, would be a great place IF customer service mattered.

Closed on a Wednesday??????? That sucks for me and my family. Also there is zero organization in the cottonwood cafe and they be sure to upcharge you for everything. For a couple burgers it came out to 125$ sheesh.

Food and service have 1 star, but we never got either one.We went for breakfast, Sunday at 9:30. We were the second to arrive. First up was a family of three. We were two. Orders made and paid at the walk-up. We got drinks and went to our tables. Our order was a plate of pancakes and a smothered burrito. The cashier walked by three times filling ice reserves in the dining room. At 50 minutes neither table received food. I walked to the counter and the three gals who helped us were having snacks. I told them about the food issues and they seemed surprised. So far no other people had come in. One said she'd check. A few minutes later we were told the printer in the kitchen wasn't working and the cooks never got the orders. We decided to ask for a refund and were told they couldn't do that and had to find a manager. Finally, both we and the first group were refunded and left. Moral of the story: careless and unattending workers, go to the aquarium but skip the cafe.(I forgot to add they assign a pager that would buzz when the food was ready, they should have noticed no one coming to the counter.)

Good service and nice clean atmosphere, but food was lacking. Fries were soggy and chips were over cooked

Loved this restaurant, the food was delicious and prices were not astronomical like I was afraid of. The family loved getting to watch all the beautiful fish while we ate. Would definitely visit again!

Cannot believe this place exists in Albuquerque! The atmosphere is reminiscent of the restaurant in EPCOT (Disney World)'s The Seas aquarium pavilion that sells out of reservations 6 months in advance. Truly amazing design to have this cafe on the backside of the aquarium's marquee exhibit. The food was good. We really enjoyed the green chile burger stack, tho our fries were woefully overcooked. Oh well, though, still easily a 5-star experience. And very neat touch with the robot food-runner, too. 100% pencil this place in for lunch if you're in town visiting.

Stopped here to eat after visiting the botanical gardens. We opted to order at the table, which promised robot delivery service. My table mates ordered chicken strips, a burger and I ordered the chicken wrap. The food was decent, it was served by a robot and all of this took place in front of a giant glass aquarium filled with fish and turtles. We loved it! Hidden Gem.
