“I like watching the UFC fights here with friends. We get pizza and wings and a beer. Fun relaxed atmosphere, welcoming and entertaining staff. Good food. A great place to relax and shoot some pool.”
“Great food and friendly service. We like visiting the restaurants on base, they seem to be better than the ones of base as a whole. Also, I like that I do not have to pay taxes on base.”
“Bacon and cheese crispy chicken sandwich was amazing. Their Mac and Cheese is super good. If I would gain 100lbs and die of a heart attack I would eat this almost every other day. This is my second time eating from Popeyes and I must say was missing out. It's a good treat once a month or so. The one on base treat is right.”
“Great employees. Never had an issue with missing or incorrect food. Food is prepared significantly better than off base. Bigger portions and more generous with cheese, sour cream, and guac cups.”
“I love this Dunkin. The employees are fast, efficient, and courteous. I use the app to order most of the time, and I can usually order from the parking lot and by the time I get inside the order is either done or just being finished up. I've actually driven past the Dunkin in town to come to the base and buy from this one. Much appreciation for the ladies that work at this Dunkin, they work hard and are usually understaffed. Thanks”
“Pretty much your standard Subway experience here. Very busy during lunch, and occasionally dinner. The line moves pretty quick, so that's a plus. Half the staff is really friendly, the other half couldn't give a crap beyond pushing your sandwich down the line and out of their station. I will say the biggest problems I have are the fact that they are always out of something and don't realize it. You run the risk of your favorite bread or a special ingredient being empty on the line, and they yell into the back for a person you're not quite sure exists, only to find out that you need to pick something else. Someone obviously used he last bit of a certain sauce or took the last cookie out of the tray, but it seems to be a big mystery as to whose job it is to put more in. Also, they tend to use the same knife over and over and over without any sort of rotation or cleaning. Those with any sort of allergy or dietary conditions need to understand that their idea of cleaning the utensils used to prepare your items is a casual scrape it two on the side of one of the trash chutes. That said, I've never had a bad experience or bad sandwich there. But you can't help but want a little more out of the experience.”
“I had a very good experience, the lady working there was very nice and made my milkshake with basically just ice cream to make sure it was thick enough. The only downside is they don't have too many flavors to choose from”
“If you're going to White Sands or passing through, stop here and get something, you won't be disappointed. The food is amazing, Bryan is such a warm, caring person, and you get a great view of the mountains. One thing to note, Byran is a one man show and he's popular, so you might have to wait for a bit if you get there and there's already a line. But don't be shy, talk to him, he's got some fun stories to tell and it's worth the wait!”
“We are not wine drinkers but our waitress Cassidy recommended the hazy IPA which is exactly what we had in mind. She made us feel like honored guests and her attention to detail made our dinner a pleasant one! Highly recommended!”
“We stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday. It was full, but the tables cleared quickly. Our server was so friendly, attentive, and quick. The food was really good too. We had a variety of things. The waffles are the thinner kind. The pancakes are not too thick either. The hashbrown was cooked perfectly as well as the eggs and bacon. Oh and the price is hard to beat. Would love to visit again if we visit White Sands again.Kid-friendliness: The teddy bear pancake for kids was so adorable!”
“This is a great spot in Alamogordo for sitting outside and relaxing after a hike. There were lunch options - apetizers as well as paninis. Everything was excellent, but don't expect a large menu to choose from. The staff was very friendly and the beer was cold. The patio was nice and covered and they didn't mind families.”
“Burger was delicious. We had "The Champ". The green chiles gave it just a bit of spice. The burger was cooked perfectly with the edges just a little crispy. The roll was grilled and the perfect vehicle for the burger. My husband and I split the burger and fries and it was plenty. A must pit stop when in Alamogordo.”
“This place was awesome! Service was great, food was fantastic, and they had great chips and salsa! Highly recommend going here is you're strolling through Alamogordo. ??”
“Great place with great service and sensible-sized portions (for a Kodiak bear). My breakfast ham steak provided us both hefty leftover ham sandwiches for lunch in Texas. In other words: great value!”
“Always a great place for casual dining. Plenty of well spaced seating inside and out. Servers have always been pleasant and efficient. It's a no rush kind of place.”
“I've had their pizza a couple of times, and I love their pizza... it reminds me of chucke cheese pizza. And I love chuckee cheese pizza. Inside it was pretty big, friendly staff.”
“When we got there they told us it would be an hour wait because they were understaffed in the kitchen. But I really didn't take them very much longer than normal and the food was delicious. Vegan options available.”
“I love this place. IT came up as a recommended dessert spot in Alamogordo and we came here after going to the White Sands National Park. Outdoor seating and a drive through is available (no indoor seating). You order at the counter and then pick it up on the other side. We tried a sample of the custard with green chiles and let’s say that it was definitely interesting. I was torn between getting a caliche or the mango dango sundae, but the worker advised me to get a caliche. I opted for the hotfudge brownie and it was delicious. There was a generous amount of hot fudge and big chunks of brownies. My friend got the Nana’s berry swirl and it was nicely fruity (a mix of strawberry and banana). The custard is creamy and a small is still very large.Free parking lot. Credit cards accepted. They do have nondairy option and hot food.”
“The onion rings are the bomb! Hand-pressed patties can’t be beat. Reasonably priced. They didn’t have ice cream the day of our visit so I’d like to go back and try one of their shakes.”
“Delicious food and great service! The waitress was very kind to the kids. The chef came out to tell us that the green chilis were very hot and they came on the rizo burgers that the kids ordered. The kids decided to take off the chilis. The people here are very kind. Defintelt stop by if youre in the mood for mexican food!”
“Great meal and the hostess was very prompt and respectful. The food came out quickly and was done to perfection. I had the Pho and my wife had the tempura battered shrimp.”
“Adorable and delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the baked potato was hot, soft and loaded with sour cream. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The highlight was my server Ms. Pam. She was very welcoming and sweet. When I told her I was staying at the hotel across the street, she told me she always wanted to stay there, but hadn’t been able to save up for it- now, there is a jacuzzi tub in the room- and we all know how much servers are on their feet. Let’s make Ms. Pam’s dream possible!Thank you Y’all’s, for a wonderful dinner and sweet evening!”
“Location is a little rough but what makes up for it is the food! They have a little parking area to the side which helped. Would 10/10 recommend, owners were nice, food was authentic and superb. Will definitely go back.”
“Was in the mall that like many others is going down hill. Small restaurant kind of fast food but sit down. Ladies were friendly and served us a great meal. We had the Navajo taco. Big portions and tasty.”
“I was very excited to see that LJS was still operating in Alamogordo after being disappointed when all the LJS in Colorado closed over 10 years ago. It's unfortunate that the building hasn't been updated in the 40 years I have been dining here, but Scott and his crew keep it so very clean, inviting and it doesn't have an old grease smell lingering in the air. It would be nice if corporate would invest in their own business. The food is cooked to perfection - weather fried or grilled, no matter what time of day! And without the compliment of excess grease that soaks through the box. I've never been a fan of hushpuppies, but OMGosh, theirs are soooo YUMMY!The employees are friendly, courteous, and truly appear to enjoy their work... which speaks volumes about their management leadership and training. I highly recommend dining here!FYI: The quality and taste of fresh food can take a little longer than driving through other fast food places; but, this LJS is so very worth a little extra wait time. Enjoy ?”
“Yummy Italian food, good service, delicious from appetizer to dessert. We were seated quickly, our food orders were all correct, even with changes, and were good portions. This was our first time at a Carino’s and we would go back againKid-friendliness: All of my kids found menu items to suit them (and they are picky) and enjoyed their food.”
“Even though the wait was long, the service and food were worth it. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Very clean shop. Price was not bad considering the alternatives.”
“This is the first time I've ever been to a Del Taco. It was everything I could have imagined and more. I wanna go back again so badly as there isn't one close to where I live. They add a ton of ingredients and they don't skimp on the cheese, it's awesome here.. order one of everything and invite me to dinner.”
“Stumbled upon this place while on my way to White Sands. The Pai Thai was delicious, with just the right balance of salty and sour flavors. Had a great dinner here, and the best part? It's quite affordable!”
