We are staying in Albuquerque for a month, here from Michigan. I had never heard of Biscochitos. I've now try Biscochitos from multiple bakeries, and Celinas are the best, hands down. So thin an flaky, with a tiny hint of anise. OMG. Bringing them home as gifts.

Love the recipe, it's legit New Mexican! However, Celinas goes one step further with their lemon, chocolate, red & green chili, and even pecan biscochitos. Whether you're a traditionalist or looking for a unique flavor, Celina's will have covered!

Wow cannot describe how wonderful this litte shop is! I have been following Celina's social media for several months before I was in Albuquerque and had the time to stop in. There are so many different choices of gift sets and cookies that they can be a little overwhelming to choose from. No problem. THEY have SAMPLES!! You are given a brief description of each as you pop these tasty bites in and your taste buds explode. I made the delicious difficult decision on two dozen of the original biscochitos (not too sweet, not too crumbly, just right) and a dozen of the RED CHILE!!! My family is speechless about how delicious these cookies are. If you are in the city it is well worth dropping by and grabbing a few packages and be open minded on the fun unusual flavors.

This bakery was on my must stop list for our trip to Albuquerque the moment I read that they make both green chile and red chile biscochitos! The moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and offered to sample any flavors. I wanted to buy them all! But packing space was limited, so we bought our three favorites: original, green chile pecan, and red chile. All are amazing! Will definitely be placing an order for Christmas delivery!

My review is based on a online order. Unfortunately I was not able to stop by the Albuquerque store due to my own scheduling so I decided to place an order thru their website. I wanted to share some treats from NM with my coworkers. Some of the items I ordered were out of stock so Celina's held shipping until everything I asked for until everything was available. They were so kind and included an extra pack of cookies (I'm keeping those for me and trying their crunch recipe). My order arrived, everything was wrapped well and there was little to no breakage. Everyone we shared the cookies with complimented and enjoyed them. I will be ordering again; planning for holiday stocking stuffers already.

A warm greeting welcomed us to this amazing bakery and gift shop! If you are looking for fun and unique gifts to bring from New Mexico - Don’t miss this spot! The traditional biscochito cookies (many flavors) are available year round. In addition - fun foods like freeze dried skittles and jolly ranchers! Delicious jellys and food mixes native to New Mexico filled our bags! The staff were so friendly. We asked for a sample of the green chili biscochito and promptly added a bag to our treasure haul!

Growing up in New Mexico, there are many different kinds of biscochitos one will eat. When I eat Celina's, it's like I'm eating a biscochito with all the best attributes of any biscochito I've had. Biting down on these cookies, I'm taken back to so many good, warm memories in childhood. Thanks, Celina and crew!

I didn't think I liked biscochitos before trying these...that's how amazing they are! My whole family is going to be getting these for Christmas.

This cookie is definitely a local favorite. But compared to other cookies, don't be surprised if you are wondering where the taste is. Again, this must be a regional favorite based on ingredients that were the only available a century or so ago.
