“Although we did not go while it was in service as a restaurant. We attended it for a rental facility for a memorial. It was lavish and beautiful inside. I would highly recommend it for other events.”
“I'm not sure the reason this place is so under-rated. Perhaps our experience was also greatly improved by our server. Levei was a great server; attentive and provided honest food suggestions. They were extremely attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. Based on recommendations, we ordered crab and chile fundido and pork belly quesadilla. This establishment could be more casual or more upscale. It's a great mix! Food was delicious! It was well seasoned and cooked. The fundido was cheesy and delicious! I loved the chips that came with it; to me, they seemed homemade...light and crispy! The quesadilla was also flavorful with a generous portion. Overall, I would eat here if I'm staying at Tamaya Resort again (which I likely will).”
“I've only dined for breakfast but food is fresh & amazing, excellent service from everyone I've encountered. I absolutely love the patio and can't wait for the weather to make the patio my weekly go to for brunch. I've been 3 times since I found out about Santa Ana and that was just a week ago. See you tomorrow!! Ciao”
“Jake is a well awarded bartender/mixologist and seriously brings the best cocktails to this area. Chasity killed lunch service. This is my favorite spot to chill and read a book at the bar. No crazy loud music but very relaxed environment.”
“Amazing coffee shop. The owner KNOWS how to steam milk, which is more rare than you'd think. My plain latte tasted amazing just from the quality coffee and milk. My family reports that the blueberry empanada was delicious. Prices are also good, several dollars less than Starbucks.”
“Dropped in for Saint Paddy's Day brunch! The menu was varied, but we went for the corned beef hash. We added bacon and roasted potatoes, which were not required bc the servings were plentiful! The finish was key lime pie and Bailey's cheesecake. Both were wonderful!Service was on point, even though the restaurant was working at capacity.Coffee was luke warm, both the initial cup and the refill. I asked for a fresh cup for dessert and it was piping hot!We will be coming back again!”
“If you love Indian food, this is the place to go. The service was good, and the staff friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is ok; nothing fancy. The interior of the building is nicer than the exterior of the building. But the food - that is what is important here. Simply amazing. I have never been to India. But I have been to Jordan and the Middle East where I've had outstanding Indian food. This reminds me of that. I have the Chicken Vindaloo. If you like spicy, I highly recommend. It is pretty spicy though; but in the best of ways. My wife had the Remshi Chicken which was beautifully cooked and moist. There is a little heat to it, so just be aware. My daughter had the Lamb pot stickers which were surprisingly flavorful.Desert: The Mango Custard was a huge let down. The flavor was there, but it was not a custard - it was a soup. But the Gulab Jamun was really good.Pricing was pretty fair. Three meals and three desserts plus sodas = $80.Please give this place a try. Highly recommend; especially if you have never experienced authentic Indian cuisine.”
“An amazing family owned and ran business. The food is incredibly fresh and served at the perfect temperature. The waitresses and service are always spot on! We love this place and wish it were open more hours of the day. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
“First visit and worth a stop Saturday morning breakfast of Spam and eggs plus Huevos Rancheros Simple fare, papitas and beans included Self serve coffee ...grab a mug out of the drawer and help yourself Decently sized restaurant winds its way through a few dining rooms Easy parking, I recommend”
“Spectacular food and impeccable service. Best chicken livers ever. Salads were amazing. Steak was prepared to perfection. Will return soon and often. Excellent dining experience. Great value.”
“My family and I absolutely love this place. The food is really good. My wife and I are prior military and have spent a lot of time in the Middle East and the Eastern Med. The food is authentic and every bit as good as the food I had in the hole-in-the-wall places in the Middle East. The Gyros are great. The pita version is more akin to the Middle East version than Greek. The Shwarma is amazing. Actually, everything is amazing. Please give this place a try. This isn't Americanized Middle Eastern/Eastern Med cooking; this is true cultural food!”
“My wife and I dined at Forty Nine Forty on a Saturday evening. My wife ordered the pan-seared polenta cakes with a mushroom tomato sauce entrée and I the Wagyu tri-tip with spiral potatoes and a chive mojo drizzled on the beef. The beef came seared on the outside and rare on the inside, cooked perfectly. Sides easily were enough for two, so we split an order of crispy Brussel sprouts with an apple vinaigrette that included small apples pieces in it. Following our entrées, we split a charred Caesar salad with homemade croutons and aged Parmesan that was, along with everything else, quite delicious. With dinner we had a bottle of a Portuguese red that was very good. We finished the meal with a piece of “burnt Basque cheesecake,” light and very flavorful, which had a caramelized top (thus the “burnt”). Our server was excellent. Our meal was well-paced and most enjoyable. Forty Nine Forty has a limited but very good wine list, as well as a full bar. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere though we did find it a little loud. The restaurant has only limited seating, so reservations are recommended.”
“Good tacos, no great tacos! Can't complain, I come here often and I also enjoy a beer when I am here (its why I come here). Yeah, this place also has a great view. If you come/go to Tap and Taco just before sunset and sit outside, you get a great view of the Sandia Mountain.I like that has a good beer selection, my wife likes the Mangonada mix drink. We now come here once or twice a month for Tacos and the Quesadillas. They have added the Nachos and they are great. I can say now that the food is pretty good. Beer and Tacos it's all good. I say now, this place has Great Tacos, quesadillas and the Nachos (love that cheese).Ps. Usually full and hard to get table and when you do, needs to be clean, other than that, its great.”
“My husband and I went here for lunch today and couldn’t stop saying how great the food was. It was also a great price and the server was very nice! The Greek dressing is homemade and so yummy!! We highly recommend trying their food.”
“Honestly out of all the Thai Restaurants that I’ve been to in Albuquerque and the surrounding area, this is the best one. They have great lunch specials. The flavor and use of spices are great. I’ve been to some spots where the Pad Thai is just soaked in watery sauce and the noodles fall apart, not this place. The green curry is a favorite, along with pad Thai and Pad Sew Ewe.”
“For those who have not been for a while. We use to go regularly when it first opened. The originals moved to another state and when it reopened the second time the service and food were terrible. But the third time is a charm. It now has great food, service and very nice people. And as others have mentioned, the chili, both red and green are great. Not just heat like so many others but actually great taste. Definitely is a do again.”
“We drive from NE Albuquerque to for these burgers! Perfect every time! Better than Longhorn, they never get my burger cooked correctly. Service us amazing! Nikki is the BEST!!”
“Nice place, much larger inside than it seems from the outside. Plenty of outdoor seating on a nice day. My friend and I stopped by late morning on a Tuesday. The establishment had a very steady flow of traffic but not too crowded. It was clean and there is a nice variety of seating. Service took a while and we couldn't figure out why the line, just to order, was moving so painfully slow since the wait to get the order was not much at all. I had the dark roast coffee and the gluten free berry muffin and the coffee was tasty and rich - quite good - and the muffin very good.”
“Several of my neighbors have been talking about how much they enjoy going to the Kaktus Brewing Company and today one of them actually invited me to go along so I took him up on the offer and I'm really glad I did. The place wasn't much to look at but it truly is a hidden gem! The people were very pleasant and the beer was both cold and tasty? They even had New Mexico spirits and some cool merch. I'm already planning another trip back and next time I'll be partaking in some of that delicious smelling pizza - or maybe the awesome duck sausage salad! A must try!”
“My favorite coffee joint. Friendliest baristas, most excellent GF treats and welcoming atmosphere. All the specials are awesome, but the Peru Organic is the bomb!”
“Good food nice employees. A friend stopped by and was surprised they were all Spanish speaking . Then an anglo woman was taking orders and she was relieved . I told her they all speak English. She grabbed us burritos n some drinks which were all delicious. We laughed because she thought they'd be too expensive but for the size of the burritos it's not expensive at all.”
“Best Sushi I have ever had! I would travel back just for this spot. Great atmosphere and very clean. You are guaranteed to have delicious food, full bellies, and new favorite place to eat!”
“The onion rings included the Fish 'n Chips are the best we've ever had. The fish and chips are EPIC! The atmosphere is very comfortable and pleasant. The chicken with salad is very tasty, too! The cook is nailing it here. A respectful choice of craft beer and domestic beer.”
“The food was good, I had the enchilada suizas, which were a bit sour. I think the tomatillo may have been overcooked. Beans and rice were the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Waitress was nice and accommodating. Restaurant was way too quiet, needed music. Overall, it was a good experience!”
“Wecks is always one of the best places to go to in Rio rancho for breakfast. There is a wait but service is always good and the food is even better which makes it worth the wait.”
“My whole family and I have personal ties to this amazing restaurant. That has nothing to do with how amazing the food and service is though. Living in Arizona for the past 13 years. We almost always have to eat once or twice at Hot Tamales every time we’re in Albuquerque visiting friends and family.”
“OK. There only really a few places where you can get the dream hotdogs other than in your own house or places like NYC or Chicago. Urban Hotdog Company is in a class of its own. Gourmet, the chef is a madman, type hotdogs are not something that you come across often. I am glad that my wife and I decided to give this place a try. I don't even live in New Mexico, but I'll be back. When was the last time a hotdogs left you speechless? Two words. Elote Dog. I know right? Trust me. It works and is a mind scrambler for a hotdogs enthusiast. That with the rosemary and garlic fries? Onion strings with a dash of chili powder?I wasn't ready for it so, I'm going to have to go back to finish comprehending that one! Beef hot Frank's folks.. Excellent job. Keep it up!”
“Gets pretty busy around 12p bc it's a small restaurant with limited seating ... but service & food really make up for that. The rice dishes were phenomenal. But, the pho is really their main thing ... and it's delish, too.”
“Fantastic pizza, not all pies are created equal. Had the opportunity to talk to one of the owners Tony, super nice guy, tell him the Santa Fe mountain bikers sent you. I had a traditional pepperoni and my wife built her own vegetarian pizza, both were truly a tasty work of art, we will be back and be sending as many folks here as we can. Thanks again..Vegetarian options: Build your own”
“From start to finish we loved it all! Our server, Avery, was wonderful! She knew the product very well and made fabulous recommendations. The chef and bartender obviously are masters in their crafts. All of the food was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. We highly recommend Prairie Star!”
